Please don't use this company. I put in for a leak. They sent out a handyman not a plumber. The handyman didn't have a clue what to look for. Didn't turn on any water to verify my leak. He stated it could be from the roof. That when the red flags was raised because we had no rain in the last ten days. The handyman sent in the report that it could be from the roof. I myself found the leak and reported it to ARW. They told me to get a plumber at my own expense to verify and prove where the leak is coming from. I spent $600 dollars to have a plumber come out. He verified the leak and took pictures. Now I have a hole in my wall where the plumber had to cut to find the leak. I sent in all the information like ARW told me to do. I been waiting over an week with excuses. Ask to speak to a supervisor and they said the supervisor was busy. Pay for a warranty every month and they make excuses on not honoring my warranty. I seen where several other customers had the same complaints. This company shouldn't be in business. This company is a complete rip off.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with ARW and the service provider they assigned to repair my heating unit. The technician from Broomfield HVAC ordered an incorrect circuit board and failed to verify that the unit was not delivering the proper voltage to the pressure pump. When questioned, he attributed the issue to the thermostat, claiming it was different from his initial visit—even though the change was only a cover and the thermostat was fully compatible.
Following this, ARW denied coverage for any damage to my HVAC unit based on the technician’s report. As a result, I chose to cancel my policy and transition to another company that I hope will demonstrate greater professionalism and integrity.

Actually we have had this insurance for about 8 years we made our very first claim two weeks ago on the water heater they refused to cover it and only offered us 300 and some odd dollars and told us it would cost over $1,000 to get it fixed so we got it fixed ourselves for $550 I am still waiting for the $300 check that they promised us my review to them is they worth anything they don't keep to their word at all Terry Pratt

This is the worst warranty company out there. Submitted a claim for how water heater roughly 3 weeks ago, and after calling every other day to find the status, they denied our claim for some bogus reason. Cannot stress how bad this company is and would not recommend to anyone

I would give ARW 0 stars if it were an option. I submitted an emergency claim, and after 30 days it was still unresolved. Despite repeatedly telling ARW this was an urgent situation, they were unable to send a technician or provide any real help. In the end, I had to hire someone on my own to fix the issue, out of pocket, while my emergency dragged on without resolution. Completely unacceptable service — do not waste your money with this company.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Warranty Claim Experience with American Residential Warranty
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the handling of our recent warranty claim with American Residential Warranty. What began as a simple plumbing leak has turned into a frustrating and exhausting ordeal.
Initially, your company was unable to find a contractor to address our issue, which appears to be a common challenge for your organization. Consequently, we were advised to locate our own contractor, which we did. Throughout this process, we kept your team informed about the estimates for the repairs as well as the final costs.
Despite our diligent efforts over the past few weeks to provide all necessary information and documentation, we have encountered significant resistance when it comes to receiving the payout we are owed under our contract. Instead of honoring our agreement, it seems American Residential Warranty company has focused on finding reasons to deny our claim.
We have an addendum in our contract that clearly covers septic tanks and plumbing, with a maximum reimbursement of $2,500. Once again, our claim has been denied.
Currently, we are paying $2,400 annually for the warranty on Just One home, and I have been with your company since 2017, maintaining coverage on this properties.
BUT WAIT :-we have two homes with your Company!
And Over the years, we have invested a significant amount of money into this warranties, and yet, when we recently required assistance, we were met with a swift denial of our claim.
As a loyal customers for the past eight years, this treatment is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. Given the substantial amount we have spent on repairs and premiums, we now feel that we would have been better off being self-insured.
I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and alert other customer about their action delayed denial customer please be aware of this company

I am a real estate agent in Colorado and bought this home warranty for clients. When their hot water heater went out they called ARW and were told that there would only be $300 paid towards a new one. This wasn't what I was told they would get. When I called the company, they verified that my clients had a consumer warranty instead of what I was led to believe I purchased for them. Apparently, I called their consumer line by accident. What is upsetting is that the agent on the phone KNEW that I was a real estate agent but still took my money for this policy ($850!) when she should have transferred me to their professional team. I ended up having to buy a home warranty from American Home Warranty, which is far superior and has much better coverage and customer service! I will never use this company again and want to warn others of their unprofessional practices. I asked for a refund or at least a partial refund but they refused to even call me back. This is a shoddy company and I will at least make sure that every real estate agent I know, doesn't use them. Just read the reviews for yourself. This company is a scam.

This company is a complete scam. They will do anything not to pay for your appliances. We had a dryer go out and after a month in a half they offered a very low amount stating that there were tech fees involved that reduced the amount we were to receive. The problem, they never sent a tech out but they said that they have a third party do an over the phone diagnostic that comes out of what you would receive. I went to cancel my monthly contract and they charged me for another month and a $272 cancelation fee. Their customer service and managers know that there is nothing you can do about it so they will make sure that you always pay in and they never pay out. This company is not insurance for anyone. They are scammers.

We paid $125 for plumber and $125 for Electrician and they never sent anyone out. They told us to find our own and that the items were covered. We did. Over $2,000 in claims and they denied both. What's the point of having the insurance if they lie and don't cover anything. If anyone wants to join and do a class action lawsuit. Respond.

I called to cancel my service and Tiffany was rude. I asked if I had a problem going forward, if I should call the number I had called previously to discuss it and she said "I don't know why you would do that but if you don't trust me you can, have a nice day" and hung up on me. WOW. I was asking for clarification and will now be cancelling all of my services with ARW.
