BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

1. I was offered a discount code on my first purchase that was not applied. 2. The purchase was a subscription (not cheap) for a friend. There was no way to add a gift message (not gift wrap) without being charged - as in the one line of type to notify the recipient that it came from me. 3. I was charged an additional $2.34 for shipping even though it said I qualified for free shipping. THEN when I sent customer service a note, they basically replied "too bad, that's the way we work."

This is the worst company ever as far…

This is the worst company ever as far as customer service. I ordered this for a Christmas gift in November I just looked and saw the shipping notice finally but it won’t be here until December 27. What a joke I contacted them more than once they couldn’t care less they have their money and they’re are no returns or refunds so they don’t care and don’t mind letting you know lesson learned THE HARD WAY!!!

I ordered multiple tea varieties and…

I ordered multiple tea varieties and all were just not great. As a tea aficionado, this product is just not good and it’s expensive to boot. I felt it was safe to purchase because the reviews of the tea items on the website were good, but after some research, I see they’re suppressing poor reviews on their review service. That’s just dishonest. The poor review I left wasn’t even published.

Simply THE BEST Tea Ever!

I can see that a lot of the negative reviews had to do with delivery… I don't know about that. I'm really fortunate to live within walking distance of one of these beautiful stores and so I pick my tea up in person..... OMG!

Every other tea absolutely pales in comparison. This is simply the best tea I've ever had… Anywhere! And I'm pretty well traveled.

Big Sur is my absolute FAV! (an Earl Grey blend)

Really, if you can get your hands on it, it's amazing! xo

Ordered on the 11th

Ordered on the 11th, and as of the 28th it has still not shipped. There was no indication on their website that there would be issues with fulfillment, and only received one stock email saying there are delays. I understand things can be busy around Christmas, but I believe it’s unfair to customers to take their money and only communicate after that it won’t be delivered until a month later. Just hoping that I actually receive something and it’s not a scam at this point…!

Ordered back on December 8th and still…

Ordered back on December 8th and still no package on December 26th. I did receive correspondence saying that there was a delay for part of my order and that they would make a partial shipment for now. That was on December 19th. A UPS tracking number was provided and the shipment was never picked up. I am begining to think this company is a scam. Beware of doing business with this company.

My order never came

My order never came. Ordered 22 days before Christmas, no sign of shipping on the 16th. Art of Tea is a scam.

Decent tea but the tea bags break!

I ordered four different types of iced tea from Art of Tea. They were fairly expensive but have tasted pretty good so far. Be aware that you have to make the tea like you would hot tea, meaning that you have to heat water and let the bag steep in it and then add additional water after it cools. So it's not "instant" iced tea. This wouldn't bother me much but the big issue, and for me it's a been a deal killer, is that the bags break and the tea leaks out into the water. This has happened multiple times to me and so I'm never going to order from them again. I've had to strain and clean and it's just a pain, especially considering that this is supposed to be "premium" product. They need to improve their tea bags. Did no one at the company ever test to make sure that the bags didn't break??

Art of Tea is a subscription tea…

Art of Tea is a subscription tea service. On the surface, it looks like it would be a great gift for the tea lover in your life, but the truth is it's just overpriced tea. They ship the teas of their choice, not yours, with no substitutions, and don't offer a refund if you don't like the product. There's no way to call and speak with a human, the only customer service they offer is via email. You receive a 4-ounce bag of tea every month for three months for $81.00 or $6.75 per ounce. The tea is organic but not 100% organic because of added "natural flavors" that are not organic. The "natural flavors" are allowed by the CCOF but make the product 95% organic. You can purchase 100% organic tea from Amazon for around $14-25/pound which works out to $.87 to $1.56/ounce. To me, it's a ridiculous waste of money for tea.
