Articulate 360 - On A Roll
With the new release almost 30 days old, I have to say that I was anxious to get access to the update so that I could incorporate some of the new features in my late 2016 course titles. As a beta tester for the Articulate 360 "suite", I learned quickly that the R+D team at Articulate made some great decisions about how their applications worked together, how their impact on the use of characters could continue to excite designers, and how their seamless approach to mobile learning would, well, blow their competition out of the water. They are, as they say, on a roll.
I'm most excited about the new, super classy illustrated characters (with a definite medical bent). For me, it's all about the za-za (aka, "wow") factor - if it looks cool, then use it. The new illustrated characters, for example, introduce a whole new realm of possibilities that get rid of the potential Debbie Downers who "hate" cartoons and offer a great way to keep consistent characters in play over a range of courses - helping to brand the look and feel for an organization's eLearning output without having to spend a ton of time on photoshoots or finding just the right model for the job - just grab some background shots and add in the Articulate characters. It can't be more simple and more professional looking. Did I mention that the diversity is outstanding? It is. Someone is paying attention at Articulate.
Throw in the new mobile publishing options and the other onscreen trigger options, including the new "dial" control, and you have endless possibilities - without all the Action Script mess.
And, to top it off, and here's the big drum roll from me, I've kicked Captivate to the curb (ok, well, I'm doing it on 1/31/17 when my "contract" is up). I've had enough woes from my previous pals at Adobe and I am super excited about the integration of the previous "Studio" lineup from Articulate, so I can ditch Presenter, too. It's all seamless. And, you get Rise, too. If you haven't checked that out, you should. But that's another review.
Articulate 360 Makes E-Learning Development Work
My original review: Articulate's new 360 offering is a suite of products designed to help anyone who works in the process of creating e-learning. Their team has done an incredibly impressive job of developing this integrated solution that makes developing training, which can be an enormously complex process, as smooth and simple as possible for developers and subject matter experts at nearly any skill level. Well done, Articulate! :)
My update after using it a bit longer: I especially love the Articulate Review tool that lets me painlessly and seamlessly upload courses for stakeholders to view and comment on. Going through project review cycles can really be a pain point - and a place where things can fall through the cracks or miscommunication can happen - and this tool takes away that pain. Other than that, I still love the fact that mobile output is gorgeous and as easy as can be, and that the Content Library is filled with images and templates I can really use. Yaaaaay Articulate 360!
Articulate Just Gets It!
Articulate creates products that solve problems we, the consumer, have. They don't push a "this is what you need" mentality on us. They find out what would make our jobs easier, and then they deliver. Don't we all wish every software company would do that?
Storyline lets us get training to the field quickly. In a world where technology is changing at a fast pace, we need to be able to get learning content to our people as quickly as possible to stay ahead. With Storyline, we've created a host of solutions: soft-skills selling, CRM software training, scenarios on customer engagement, etc.
Simplifies course development
Articulate is an incredible tool for creating e-learning courses. I literally came in as a novice and was able to teach myself how to use it thanks to the tutorials they provided. After a few short months, I was outputting e-learning courses and surprised even myself. The tools are intuitive, and you don't have to be an expert designer to use them. I am really impressed with this program, and I use it for every course that I develop!
Best Community Support
I have been using Articulate software for 8 years. Started with Articulate Presenter which is a great add-on to PowerPoint. Easy to learn and use for any SME who can use PowerPoint. Just finished migrating all of our courses to Storyline 2 which I now use to create all new courses. This is a very powerful tool with so many more capabilities than I could list. I love the fact that I can create a quick course or I can opt to use the advanced features including variables and JavaScript. The community forums are without a doubt the best I have ever been a part of. The Articulate team is very responsive and quick in getting back to you. They also encourage users to submit enhancement requests. I have used several other authoring tools and I can say that Storyline 2 is my favorite out of all of them.
Engaging eLearning created quickly...
Articulate Storyline 2 is an eLearning software that is easy to learn, yet has infinite tools and settings. Onboarding new associates to use this software is fast.
The Real Deal
Articulate provides everything a customer needs to be successful. Their customer service is superb, as well as their sales department.
The products are the best in the industry, and the curation/management of the online user community is commendable.
Also, I have tested the new Articulate 360 platform and although expensive, it really is a game changer. The Review application alone would be a tremendous time-saver that log all SME feedback in a user-friendly interphase. Rise will also be instrumental in transforming boring, static work instructions into interactive learning content. Last but not least, the Content Library is spectacular. The new stock designs and templates will allow developers to hammer out those pesky modules that are requested at the eleventh hour in no time.
Great product...great results
I have been using Articulate for several years now and currently using Storyline 2. The software is easy to use and allows the elearning specialist to be very creative when designing any type of program. I have used screen captures, videos, graphics, triggers, animations, and layers so that each situation can be custom tailored. Our clients have only the best comments after viewing any of our programs indicating that the elearning is a fine, polished, effective, and professional learning experience. The Articulate community is awesome and I am always able to download free templates and solicit advice when needed. I can't imagine any other company offering all of these benefits except Articulate and I continue to share my experience with other co-workers. I am extremely impressed by everything that Articulate does for the elearning community. Thank you.
Fantastic Rapid Design Tool
I've been developing elearning for about 10 years, and like a lot of people I started with Adobe Captivate. While it was fairly easy to use, it was really geared for software demos, so any other interactive elements often required going to Flash, which definitely has a much steeper learning curve.
When I first heard about Storyline, I was thrilled with it's list of capabilities and convinced my department manager to get me a license. As soon as I worked on a project with it for the first time, I was hooked! I found it very easy to learn, and with variables, states and triggers, I was very impressed with the ease with which I could put together more complex interactions. Having used both Storyline for several years now (with a recent upgrade to the even more powerful Storyline 2), I can say it is an essential tool for any elearning developer!
Articulate is amazing!
The Articulate software is an amazing rapid elearning tool. It's easy to use, but yet complex enough to create interesting interactive training in a short period of time. The community is also very helpful. Everyone that is part of the community is willing to help and even share their examples and templates with you. I would definitely recommend Articulate over any other software for developing elearning!
Articulate Community Second to None
Having used Articulate Storyline (1&2) for several years now, I can say that this tool has served to not only increase my productivity through speed and ease of development...,but also opened doors for support that is unrivaled.
Between the community of participants on the various Articulate sites who are willing to share tips and full-blown demos and source files for how to take my projects to the next level, and the willingness of top-notch Articulate team members like David Anderson and Tom Kuhlmann to offer support and training, our company has been growing our eLearning library with much more engaging content than ever before.
5 Stars all the way!
Articulate 360 is the future of e-learning development!
Articulate and their suite of products (Articulate 360) are simply amazing. I've been using them since 2009 and they are always there to help me along the way. Storyline 360 is a powerful and easy program to use. If you already know how to use PowerPoint, you already know how to use most of Storyline 360. I would recommend Articulate and their software programs to ANY e-learning developer. If you're looking to develop responsive e-learning content, then Rise is a great tool for this.
Excellent product and a great support network
I would always recommend articulate as a great development software for training with a vast amount of tools to help bring training to another next level.
Outstanding is an understatement
The Articulate team is one of the most proactive and aware companies I have dealt with. They are constantly seeing to upgrade and improve their products. They are constantly available online to assist with issues and questions. They have multiple opportunities for viewing and testing their products. They are taking advantage of others who have mastered their product in various areas and therefore are an exceptional customer service oriented organization!
There is no easier way to Advanced Interaction
The user interface is very intuitive. If you have some experience with Microsoft Office PowerPoint starting will be very easy.
If you want to create advanced interactions Articulate Storyline 2.
As a user of Articulate products you can also learn a lot from the Articulate community. No matter if you want to shorten your learning curve or get an answer to a question. The community spreads their knowledge about various E-Learning topics.
Powerful Authoring Tool!
Articulate Storyline 2 is an incredibly powerful standalone authoring tool, but when you begin to add elements from the Adobe CC suite there's almost no limit to the interactions you can create.
Articulate IS eLearning
Articulate tool really helps in creating elearning content in easy and intuitive way. On one side, if you need a quick solution, Articulate tool is a way to go. You can makevery respectable content within 15minutes. On the other side, you are looking for advanced personalized complexed content? No problem for Articulate, which provides advanced.features like animations, triggering, working with variable values, multimedia, flv files, etc.
Besides that, Articukate provides one of the most powerful communities out.there, where you can ask any type of quedtion, make a comment or even share your work.

The best online support network I have ever encountered
Not only is articulate storyline a great tool for eLearning development. It also has the best online support network I have ever encountered. The community is always happy to help and the challenges set are great.
Articulate is Awesome!
I have been using Articulate Studio and Storyline for a few years now and find it amazing. I was thrown into the task of creating e-learning and was terrified as to where to start. Once I found Articulate it was a dream come true. I am able to create professional looking e-learning with little effort. People are amazed with what I create (and I'm not super creative) and wonder how I could create such amazing interactive experiences. Articulate Studio is very easy and intuitive to use. Storyline has a lot more power and although it may seem scary at first it is actually very user friendly. Anytime you have a question you can reach out to the community and they will help you out immediately. Also the tech support is second to none!
