ArtBeads order fulfillment is poor

I live in Canada, but was going to be visiting a friend in the US, (only about 30 miles from Artbead's offices) so placed an order and asked for the shipping address to be my friend's address. I heard nothing from them for 8 full days, after placing the order, and all of a sudden they wrote to me to ask me to verify that I was using 2 separate addresses - - one for billing and one for shipping.

Because they waited 8 days to contact me after I placed the order, there was no way that it would arrive in time for me to get it and take it home.

I had to cancel the order. How can they just sit on new orders for 8 days??????

Long time customer...

Been buying from AB since 2017 and have always been pleased with products, pricing and delivery speed. BUT, there have been frequent issues re errors of color/size, qty. etc. Cust Svc isn't the best; however, I have always managed to get things straightened out eventually and have my order corrected at no cost to me.

Bad company with zero customer service

Bad company with zero customer service. Over $300 of materials that I ordered have been lost in the mail and I have had no luck getting any help from Artbeads to track down the package or replace the items. Use gempacked or house of gems instead, where you get real help from real humans (and better prices.)

Poor service


I ordered 8 inches of Regaliz leather for a bracelet and received 2 - 4 inch lengths. When I asked the Artbeads to correct it, they responded "while we do strive to get orders for leather, chain, or other by the foot/inch items filled as one continuous length, we can’t always guarantee it. Our by the Foot items will not always be sent in pieces, but it cannot always be avoided." I can’t believe a company would send totally useless items and then try and defend themselves. I and my fellow beaders will shop elsewhere

Just received my order, it came well packed and the prestige crystals are of amazing quality and colors, they are exactly as expected! Shipping is great too, arrives sooner than I anticipated especially coming from overseas! 💯 Thank you so much, will absolutely order again soon!

Declining customer service, uncompetitive pricing, slowwww shipping.

I've been an Artbeads customer for over a decade. Today's a sad day for my once high regard for this store. My latest package has gone into the ether after some system glitch going to an old address from 3+ years ago despite going thru the usual paypal checkout process which populates the billing and shipping address in the order. Since I desperately need the supplies for an upcoming show, I've been trying to get in touch about the missing package with no reply from them beyond the initial (and incorrect) one. Three phone calls and three emails over 4 weekday after the supposed delivery date has me disappointed and scrambling for replacements with Etsy vendors.
In recent years before the pandemic they went to a 3rd party shipping vendor in Salt Lake for the supposed "free shipping" that often takes as long as free shipments from India or China to my midwest city. Their prices also really went up 15-30% before the pandemic at the same time as a pricey new website they launched at the beginning of the pandemic. They moved warehouse off site and this increased the length of time to fulfill an order before it even got to the 3rd party shipper who would transfer it to USPS...eventually.
Maybe Artbeads has grown too big, has too much overhead and has lost focus on customer service in its attempts to expand. Its rewards program changes are too confusing to keep up with, and the weird website quirks have lost search functionality to find specific items. Its more suited to just browsing, than searching.
I will have to seek other vendors for JBB findings and a few other niche items they carry. A sad end for a once cool family business.

One Stop Shopping for My Needs

Artbeads.com has everything I need to make the type of necklaces that I like to make - knotted bead wrap necklaces. They have frequent sales and a great variety of beads. Also, they carry silk bead cord in a many sizes and colors at a price I haven't found elsewhere. I have been very happy with my purchases and will continue to shop there.

I ordered on December 7th, still have not shipped

I ordered several items on December 7, 2020, it is now December 17, 2020. They still have not shipped my items. After sending THREE emails begging them to ship as I need these items for my Christmas projects, they wrote to me on the 14th of December telling me that my items were shipped. I checked the tracking number which they provided and all that they have done is create a shipping label-they have not taken to the Post Office-no good. Absolutely ridiculous. I told them I get faster shipping from India to US. This will be my last order from them. I have ordered in the past and it was fine, but something going on now and I can't afford this type of delay, I have commissioned projects to get done. It is so important to ship purchased items as soon as possible when someone gives you money for your items-they certainly processed my payment right away, next day to be exact. People count on receiving their purchases in a timely manner. This is inexcusable.

No customer service whatsoever..It doesn't exist.

In my last order ( November 2019), I redeemed rewards for a small spool of non tarnish silver wire. Instead of being free I was charged $2500.00! Two thousand five hundred dollars!!!!! No one answers the phone....or emails...or online chat messages....I had to resolve all of this with Paypal and my credit card. Something fishy is going on with this company. I will never order from them again, and my November order was maybe my fourth?

What is going on at Artbeads?

What is going on at Artbeads?! Tried to order several different items most Out of Stock. More than a couple times. Never used to be this way. I think I give up. There are plenty of sites to order from and I will do just that.
