My Honest Experience with Dr Aman Arora's Academy

If someone had told me a few years ago that I would be writing a positive PLAB success story, I am not sure I would have believed them.

My journey was far from straightforward. I experienced setbacks, faced failures, and had been away from medical practice for a considerable period of time. Returning to a structured study routine was challenging, and at times the goal felt distant. Despite these obstacles, I passed PLAB 1 in December last year, and I genuinely believe that Dr Aman Arora's Academy was one of the key factors behind that success.

I was very impressed with the Arora website. Very interactive, excellent lectures and the AI interactive feature is amazing! I tried many times to find a practice partner with no luck. Thanks to Arora, I found one. The AI cases are very easy to use, very instructive and I am leaning a lot. I started to watch the videos before and after each case; this has really helped to solidify my medical base of knowledge. I took several potential companies off my list, like The Mo Academy, because they did not have a website. What business in this day and age does not have a website? But the main reason that I chose Arora was the responsiveness of the owner, Dr. Arora. For any International Medical Graduate looking to pursue their medical career in the UK, Dr Arora Academy is highly recommended. It was one of the major platforms I used to prepare for PLAB 2 and the SJT ( Situational Judgement Test ) for the standalone Foundation year 2 in 2026. Some of the pros I would like to highlight are

* Simplicity - Dr Arora does not rely on elaborate templates or lists of cases that are asked in PLAB 2, but rather, on the core principles that they test on, and good medical practices, and that approach is, in my opinion, ideal not just to clear exams, but to build good clinicians. It is also straightforward, and easy to apply in a stressful and timed situation like the PLAB 2 exam

*Friendly atmosphere - The team at Dr Arora Academy are warm, friendly and dynamic, making it easy for aspiring students to connect to. Dr Arora is also easily approachable, which is a vital part of a good teacher and clinician. The classes also flexible and there is a mix of online and offline sessions to better equip students who can’t spend much time in the UK before the exam

* Good Quality - Be it the online resources and streaming or the ambience of classrooms, the quality of Dr Arora academy overall, in all aspects, is good and maintains standard. The members of the team are also experienced, and there are courses available for a wide array of exams such as PLAB 2, SJT, MSRA etc. The question bank they have for SJT is also broad and gives a good overview.

*Bite sized mocks - I have to mention this separately since it is a vital feature of Dr Arora Academy. The mocks at Dr Arora Academy cover around 8 scenarios, and while some might feel it might fall short to the whole 16 scenario mocks, I personally feel it is bite sized and ideal to cover for preparation, focussing on quality without being too exhaustive. It might be slightly on the pricier side, but they have discounts for students who attend the regular batch, and if affordable, I’d recommend it for PLAB 2 aspirants.

Overall, Dr Arora Academy is a solid academy that can focuses on quality and simplicity with thorough resources for theoretical and practical knowledge, that can definitely be invaluable for aspirants preparing for medical exams in the UK. Thank you

I personally liked the MOCK exams and the instant feedbacks . All the tutors did marvellous work for the students.

I had an awesome experience with Arora! Not only were the sessions structured to cover the most high-yield topics of the exam, but the staff was super interactive, invested in teaching, and gave individualized feedback, which I appreciated! Furthermore, the honesty and encouragement offered in each simulated session gave me just the confidence I needed to pass the exam! Cleared 14/16 stations! Would recommend!

After my first attempt, I was hesitant to take the exam again. My OET had already expired, and my plab1 was due to expire within just three weeks. I was realy scared to take the exam again.

While searching on youtube, I came across Dr aroora videos about Plab2 and decided to join his academy. The course lasted seven days, and it was more than enough to rebuild my confidence.

It’s a pleasure to write a review on Arora Medical. I passed my PLAB 2 exam on my first attempt thanks to the amazing people at the Academy. The online material is great, the live classes as also very helpful and the Academy in Birmingham is incredible - everything is brand new, you have access to mannequins, Simman and procedure equipment. The way they teach you how to approach the stations makes you very comfortable to deal with whatever comes up on the exam day. Very happy I chose Arora for my PLAB preparation!
