Great Customer Service

Long time user of Armeg box sinkers and the main part failed, admittedly out of warranty, but too early in its life. Contacted Dee in their Customer Service Dept., sent a photo of the part and I had a replacement on my doorstep by 9am the next day, free of charge, no quibble.
Customer Service like this is virtually non-existent these days, so it makes a real change.

Acceler8 holesaws poor build quality.

I regularly use ARMEG tools. Recently purchased the "Acceler8" holesaws, which work great for a few holes.

They are £18 each and include the arbor. The springs are made from a weak material so they twist out of shape after the first couple of uses which causes the cut out material to jam inside the holesaw. The pilot drill is not 6mm and is also of a weak material so will snap easily under average uses.

The holesaw blades seem robust enough for many holes, but the arbor (although replaceable via an allen key) is not readily available nor is the spring.

I have contacted support for spare arbors and springs to make this financially viable. But they replied with "what cutting oil used, what material you are cutting etc".

In a world of efficiency, this is very wasteful. Perfectly good holesaws in the bin, and arbors with springs in the bin due to lack of quality build. £18+£18+£18 recurring.

A few spare springs and a few arbours in the post would have kept me as a customer, but is too much of a loss to Armeg.

For reference: 7no holesaws purchased and around 50 holes drilled - 1 working arbour left, no springs, 7no holesaw blades in great condition for landfill.
