While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

DO NOT Use this Brokerage Firm

DO NOT Use this brokerage firm if you expect a call back, to be able to get reliable information, or have policy changes take effect prior to renewals.

I worked with P. Humes @ Assurance Risk Managers on a CALFair policy in Califonria. P. Humes' office was difficult to get a hold of on multiple occasions, passing me between employees, and requiring multiple follow-up calls and emails needed in order to finally connect.

When I was able to talk to P. Humes about the policy renewal issues and options, I found that he was little more than a "paper pusher" with limited understanding about the policy and coverage.

The policy was set up last year when i purchased the home and I paid the full annual premium to simplify the finances at the time.

In May 2025 I asked for the policy to be renewed with the option to pay in three installments but he never followed through to confirm this was updated in time before the renewal. I ultimately had to pay the full annual premium this year in 2025.

The worst part about the entire experience was that instead of owning the mistake and working with me and CALFair to resolve the issue, but he did nothing and Assurance Risk Managers corporate sent false/incomplete information to CALFair that result in additional time needed to correct.

Don't waste your time with these people if you have any other choice. They are not worth the fee they collect.
