Live at your own peril

We stayed in arcotel velvet hotel in first week of Oct 2025. A very downbeat experience.
Room is much much smaller than what is shown in the pictures online, has old fittings and fixtures and also it is quite dirty. Despite being a hotel it works like a small time old Delhi lodge with no daily cleaning services like other hotels. No water is replenished daily. Kettle was not working, curtains and towels were torn.

Staff was rude and arrogant.
Breakfast items finished much in advance on most days and they would refused to replenish even the bread. One had to shout and ask for the manager and then the bread appeared in 2 minutes. All in all an avoidable experience
Live at your own peril.

Terrible hotel do not stay in

Terrible hotel do not stay in, I spoke to the manager and all he said, Mr. Lisk was that they would check the air conditioning. No air conditioning the unit broke down and then the outlet didn’t work when they brought up a fan stay— away from this hotel. The manager did not apologize to us, he just said he would look into it. Hotel is pretty but they don’t care about your business and you will not sleep comfortably there.

Terrible experience with seminar organization

We are Academy that works in 10 countries and we have never seen this kind of unprofessionalism and never had this large amount of problems because of terrible hotel organization. Nothing was as agreed and the conference room was not ready for us 10 minutes before the start of the course even though we agreed that everything should be ready 1 day before. Nobody knows what to do in this hotel, they are rude and the organization is completely terrible. We reserved the room for whole day on the second day and they stormed in that we need to go out because they need a room for concert. I would avoid this hotel at every possible cost!

Arcotel Wimberger Wiem hotel in Vienna, thoroughly recommend it

We stayed at the Arcotel Wimberger Wiem in Vienna recently and were very pleased. The hotel reception and staff were welcoming and very friendly. The restaurant was so good that people from other hotels came in to dine there and the staff were very friendly. The hotel location was perfect for us. Five minute walk to the longest shopping street in Europe (at the end of the street is the city centre), five minute walk to drop off point for the airport shuttle bus, Seven minute walk to the major concert hall in Vienna and five minute walk to tram and railway station. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who intends to stay in Vienna.

Warning - This hotel ripp you off!!

My boyfriend and I was staying at Arcotel Rubin in Hamburg - Germany, they charged my boyfriend another 80 Euro on his creditcard, and he couldnt get an answer why! He called the hotel and they say they had some system problems and would call him back. They never did! He wrote them an email, but never got an reply!

We didnt use any extra services on the hotel, and we didnt take anything not even from the mini bar (we had our own food and drink). We also did check out a day before we were supposed to, so it would make more sence that they gave him some money back instead of charging extra for something we dont know! We didnt get a receipt when we checked out, and we havent received it on email either, just the extra charged on the creditcard.
