Great power inside you...

I've been in rehab for the past 10 days. Self admitted. Non-punative recovery outside the US. The one I'm at deals with gambling (process addiction) and substances. I'm in here for alcohol and opiates.

Being here is hard. Going thru all the emotional baggage, shame, guilt, anger and frustration isn't pleasant, but I'm leaning a huge amount about myself and my disease. I also am learning that people in recovery are pretty amazing. Not a dumb, boring one in the bunch. I've finally met my people and that is a huge relief.

I seriously hope I can stay clean and not pick up after I leave because I can't go thru what got me here to begin with again.

I might consider a smaller rehab with less people, so you don;t fall thru the cracks. I'd also find one that deals with process and cross addiction with CBT.

I want to thank to the Arapahoehouse: Colorado drug and alcohol rehab for their supportive attitude and kindness. I believe I can do everything!!
