Don’t waste your money …

The fitness app on the Apple Watch keeps pausing during a run and it is infuriating. It worked fine until the IOS 26 update and now it is completely unreliable!!

Battery life Sucks

I wanted a watch to pair with my iPhone. After easy set up paid £30 for watch faces and £20 for some other renewals but the battery life is pathetic. I now charge it when I go to bed at 11pm and strap it back on when I get up at 9am, by 11pm it’s 7%, it cannot hold battery for more than 13hrs even on low power. It’s poor value for money and I most certainly would not by another Apple Watch.

No more Apple Watch for me.

Having my third Apple Watch #6 #7 and it broke again. 3 Apple wachtes in 5 years. At one point, often after an update' it gets software problems. Now my Apple Watch #7 started calling emergencies like 911 (in my country 112) and it didn't stop and I got angry police officers on the phone?? WTF...
I called Apple for advice and they said go to the Apple store Amsterdam so they can examen the watch, so I did. They didn't examen the watch, they said; its a software problem and we can't fix it. for € 297, we place a new clockwork inside and it new again. WTF?
I said no.
I contacted a friend who knows a lot about this stuf and he said send me the watch. 2 days later I got a phone call and hy said, the watch is fixed. The small button on the side was stuck and pressen in... that's why it didn't stop calling. Costs € 15,50 for an apple pie. That's how you get ripped off...
I send a letter to the Apple headquarter in Bunnik, No answer... The was my last Apple Watch. 👎

Widespread update issues

Apple watch update problems seem to have been a fairly common issue for several years. Apparently dismal error reporting leaves little clue of what the problem may be. Customer service solution seems to be ‘reboot’ everything and pray. Didn’t work for me.
Adding to the frustration is the reset to factory defaults with almostany issue and the long delays to reconnect to the watch and reconfigure it, even from backups. It seems that upgrades were mandatory leading to issues with a device that previously worked as desired. The upgrade process refused to recognize the internet service, even though I could run a speed test on my service. It would start loading then stop with a message that the download would restart when I had an internet connection. No clue provided why this may be. Apple solution - reboot. After days of trying finally got a download which took an hour. Others report several hours. The other problem was that once the upgrade process was initiated the watch could no longer be used.
It seems that Jobs’ vision of developing user friendly devices has died too.

Very dated Apple Watch’s

Went to Apple Trafford Centre, wanted to trade in my Ultra 1 for the watch 10 series. First of all the staff are very nice but have forgotten that the customers keep them in a job. The waiting times are ridiculous and staff are just standing around chatting on their iPads, Monday evening and the store was quiet. When you do get service, they don’t have the items you want in stock. The store had just opened in a new premises, very nice and an improvement but why would you not, make sure you have enough stock in, no watch straps ??? The store managers need to up their game and plan a head as customers may want to purchase items that they are interested in not choose from what’s available. Not a great buying experience. The 10 series watch itself is pretty poor not changed much since the 7 series I traded in myUltra1 which I purchased 2 years ago. The 10 series new screen is poor for a £430 watch and the design is the same, as the first Apple Watch. The Ultra has a better screen but I was not ready to pay £750 again for a new ultra 2 or for a higher spec 10 series for basically the same basic 10 series watch with a crystal screen. The only reason I was changing my watch, is because I wanted a thinner watch to wear when I am sleeping. Apple clearly think that they don’t have to work that hard because people are still buying their products. I will not be buying anymore of their expensive products until I see a real change. They have become in my personal view Very poor value for money and the staff need to listen to customers and match their products needs better. If they would have said changing your ultra watch for a new 10 series would be a taking a step backwards then I may have reconsidered my choice also Apple needs to really up their game with their products design and give better value for money. My personal advice is keep hold of your current products, for me, a part from colour changes there not much difference. In there latest products, I have a 15 pro max and the 16 is basically the same. My wife has just purchased a 16 pro max and coming from Samsung hopefully she will not regret it. On that note she went to John Lewis in the Trafford Centre to purchase it who give a 2 year guarantee and had more choice than the Apple shop. My son also purchased a pro 16 from Apple on the Saturday and I have to question why are we so loyal. Not impressed with the watch 10 series and personally would not recommend it, the battery life is also rubbish.

Verizon has the worst customer service…

Verizon has the worst customer service and the worst insurance providers after several several phone calls I am told that I have to pay 99.00 deductible on my Apple Watch when it fell off the bathroom counter this morning the crystal shattered it fell 3 feet. How can it shatter and I have too pay 99.00 why isn’t the watch made with tempered class ? Why is the product not built to last ? Why I should go to Mint the phone provider and pay 15.00 per month instead of 90.00 month for service for a phone. For a phone the WiFi box and this Apple watch it cost 192.00 per month instead. This is ubsered the prices I’m being charged.. I been a customer for 15 + years I now that I think about it I have been being robbed at these prices and a 99.00 deductible is just outrageous. I suffered through Al the bus hit and phone call for a bunch of high price service and 6 phone calls later for nothing for a product that can’t be so fragil that it can’t withstat a 3 foot drop off the bathroom counter..What Verizon should have said was we’re sorry your watch wouldn’t withstand falling off your bathroom counter we will send you a brand new one asap . I’m seriously thinking this is the end of me getting robbed

Apple's Online Abuse

Apple media onslaught on all my devices and platforms for searching once what the battery life is. Will never look up apple product again as every second advert is annoying apple trying to force their garbage down my throat. Re the watch only 18hours of use compared to my Garmin which has 7 days and my Withings 30days. As sports watch Apple is totally inadequate and the more they force it on me not only will I never buy an apple product but I will continue to spread my negative feedback to others.

Not durable, Very low battery life

The watches dont last very long, and the cost of any repair is almost equal to the cost of purchasing a new device even when the repairs are software issues caused by Apple's own updates. An overpriced gadget designed not to last

Allergic reaction

I got myself a new Apple Watch Series10. The technique of the watch is phantastic, I really love it. Its my second watch now.
The more i was disappointed as i got a very strong allergic reaction against the down-side of the watch.
Its magnet contains Nickel whats known to cause allergic reactions to 20% of european population. I have to send it back.
Never had any issues with the three year old one.
I am trying out now the Titan-modell what its double the price…
Please Apple, these kind of reactions are not okay for us customers. I hope you care more in future about Nickel-free watches. I expected more of you :-(

My watch was showing a temperature warning and would not connect. One and a half hours and two people later was told they would send a pick up box and fix my software problem. I was told my two month old watch would cost $300 to repair and was not part of my warranty. I had them return the watch. I was able to download an updated software and the watch now works fine. Last Apple product for me

Apple watch SE second gen

Apple watch SE second gen. Everything was great until i got a tattoo (finished my sleeve) and now the watch randomly stops detecting my wrist. In my other wrist, no problem at all. I am a left wrist mainly user, and having so switch wrists(especially when working out-running) is a hassle. I can barely type/use my left hand to do stuff on the watch when its on my right hand. Totally unfair that tattoos affect the efficiency of the watch without prior notice of this. And apple has no solution for this. So people with tattoos in their wrist, beware.

Terrible Apple Watch SE

I bought my Apple Watch SE (1st generation) in June 2021.

From the start, the battery life has been terrible. I don’t wear it at night, but it still needs charging pretty much every day. It’s very rare the battery lasts a full 2 days even without recording any workouts. It must be said that I don’t use any (messaging) apps on the watch, I only use if for recording workouts. If you make full use of all the features, I doubt the battery would last a single day.

Then, the GPS. Highly inaccurate. An official 5k race often comes out as between 5.3 and 5.6 on my Apple Watch, meaning that all the stats around my speed are useless. So if you’re a semi-serious sportsperson, you cannot rely on any of the speed and distance info that the watch gives you. It’s better for cycling, but running (or hiking and swimming) is pretty much a no-go.

Lastly, mine came with a plastic sports band/strap. This has broken after just a little more than 3 years. I didn’t do anything weird to it, it’s simply poor quality. The screen is also slightly damaged, but that is my own fault.

Overall, please get a Garmin instead! Apple Watches are meant to make couch potatoes feel better about themselves. If you actually do sports, Garmin is the way to go. I’m going to buy myself a Garmin with a 2-week battery life and actual trustworthy GPS and never look back. Hope you do the same!

I have had 3 Apple Watches within the last 3 years. All of them failed due to battery issues or one thing or another. You would think spending over $399 for each watch you would get a long lasting device which is not the case. You shouldn’t have to pay for AppleCare. If you are looking for a new watch don’t ever buy an Apple Watch.

Apple make a watch that can not tell the time !!!
at 9.10 am the watch showed the time as 1:50 (could be am or pm!) and then 30 seconds later it showed the correct time.
That should be impossible in this day and age.
This is the first watch I have owned that I cannot use for one hour each day.
The only useful feature is the timer which I will miss if I go back to a watch that is actually a watch.

The AppNot fit for purpose, factory issues, repetitive failures and staff rudenessle Watch Series 7 clearly has a…

The Apple Watch Series 7 clearly has a manufacturing issue, I’ve had 3 previous watches and now the 4th one suffer from an internal speaker issue where the sound is distorted as if the speaker is blown

1 watch only lasted a matter of 2 weeks before it suffered from this issue

The latest watch has only been worn when not doing much to 'help save it' and a cheap android watch (which ironically works perfectly and battery lasts, without exaggeration, 10times longer!) worn when doing things like....mowing the lawn!

A staff member at apple stated to me on the phone (allegedly apple don’t have the transcript, go figure) that if the latest watch broke with the SAME issue it would covered under manufacturers warranty. Well it has failed and Apple wont warrant this now

They're hiding behind polices and wording, instead all that can be offered is an 'out of warranty repair' at a lovely sum of £357......

I'd actually rather go Samsung, I’ve dealt with them before and they were great
