Honestly amazing

Honestly amazing. I needed some items by a certain date (which I mentioned when I ordered). Firstly they said they weren’t sure if they could get all the bits to my by the date I needed and I could cancel that part of the order if I wanted, but I said to keep them on the order and I’d pay for extra shipping for the important bit I needed for a specific date. Not only did they manage to get the entire order to me by the date I needed it by, they also updated me about the delay when I didn’t actually receive the delivery on the day I got a text that it would come (this is all horrible grammar but hopefully still understandable!). Very happy with this company, would definitely use again

Disgust with this company…

I ordered a product from this company and they accepted payment and courier service to N.Ireland which was alot extra. 5 days later they had the cheek to increase the courier service by £51 after having accepted my order in good faith and conditions at time of purchase. The postage was actually more than the value of the product stating the original courier could not deliver to a BT address and that it was hazardous and UN whatever that means.
The product was hazardous to weeds and honeybee pests but its same whether its being delivered to Kent or John o'Groats.
They just flippantly cancelled the order without any options for a new address for delivery.
N.Ireland is in the UK in case of interest and should be treated as such.
I would not trust them to deliver a pot of jam or honey as it has a hazardous low PH as well.!
Terrible and no wonder the UK is in the state that it is with companies like Apcpure. Disgusted

and even more disgusted with their weasley and untimely reply. DHL have delivered UN or hazardous numbered material to me from UK before. Rip off comes to mind! I did offer at the time an address not 40 miles from APCpures own address but again flippantly ignored... it was only vinegar I had ordered!!

DHL cannot carry the hazardous product to your location which is stated within our terms and conditions. It also states “Our basket should notify you of the surcharge, but if not, we will contact you immediately when we assess your order and inform you of any relevant surcharge” which is the process my colleague followed for your order.

Usually, we would cancel and refund the order immediately and let you know. However, recently we have been offered a new service via one of our couriers which means the goods can be carried to your location. This unfortunately does incur a surcharge and is more expensive and rather than just cancel the order, my colleague wanted to offer this service to you to make sure you had the option to receive the goods.

We will always follow the rules for shipping safely. Our team delivered a great service sticking to the rules and regulations of the law.

We apologise that you didn't feel this way with your experience.

The product was fine - some collection problems

The product was fine, as was its price. Their collection system is a bit wacky, though: (1) They didn't let me know when the item became available; instead they asked me to watch out for a notification that the product has been 'dispatched' - I had to email them to find out whether 'dispatched' (which I heard nothing about) meant the same as 'shipped' (which they did tell me about). (2) I received a very friendly and prompt reply, but it asked me to bring a copy of the 'order receipt' - I've no idea about what one of those is. (3) At the trading estate where they live, they are not listed on the notice board - their name appears only on a small notice by the side door of a company with a different name. Despite the friendliness of both of the staff that I dealt with, I was left feeling slightly under-cherished by their systems.

didnt recieve my package and after 4…

didnt recieve my package and after 4 weeks of back and forth emailing they told me it was delivered to a different house and expected me to go and collect it. House (which was five minutes away claimed they didn't receive anything and apc pure quite literally said they didn't care and didn't issue a single apology after 2 months of ordeal which was supposed to be a simple small package delivery. Refused me a refund and stopped replying to emails.

Unfortunately, we have requested your order details to review any correspondence, but you have not submitted this and therefor we cannot accurately investigate this review.

However, what we can say is that in the unlikely event of not receiving a parcel we are always happy to help our customers. Once a customer contacts us to alert us of this issue, we investigate this with the couriers to see what has happened.
If the couriers did deliver to a wrong address on the next street or a few houses down, we can schedule for the couriers to go back and pick this up and drop it off at the correct address. However, this isn’t the quickest way for you to receive your parcel and we understand a lot of customers need it immediately. Although it is an inconvenience to collect the parcel, it would be the quickest way to receive it which is why this suggestion would have been made. Again, I would like to add if this isn’t an option, we are more than happy to send the couriers back in to collect it and bring it to the correct address.
Our team’s main goal is to make sure all our customers have a great experience with us, and I can assure you that our team always go above and beyond until there is a resolution and to make sure you receive the goods.
As I said unfortunately, I cannot investigate your order as you have not supplied any details.
You are more than welcome to provide your order number and we can investigate this.

I have used this company for many many…

I have used this company for many many years for chemicals for my large coral reef aquarium. I am fussy about what I use in my aquarium and always try to buy the best. APC always meet my requirements for VFM and quality of the product. No fancy looking fish or corals on the packaging that some companies seem to think adds hundreds of percent to the price over the APC chemicals. If your looking for calcium hydroxide or chloride or which are known as Klakwasser and Turbo calcium or other reefkeeping chemicals then do yourself and wallet a favour buy from these guys. 5 stars from me and never a problem.

Competitively priced and well packaged

We order frequently from APC Pure and the customer service is brilliant. The products are always competitively priced, well packaged and once despatched arrive promptly. Processing of the order sometimes takes longer than we would like, but that is generally when we order large quantities which is understandable. However if you need an item urgently you can call them and if they have it on the shelf ready they can get it to you next day for a small fee, depending on the courier of course.

Ordered a ‘powder’ and when it arrived…

You are advertising this as a powder and what I received is a hardened lump and I even sent you a video from which you can clearly hear it bashing off the plastic tub.I had no reason to ask to see the product before I ordered it as it’s described as a powder and I’ve bought it from other sources.Every time it presented as a coarse salt with no clumps.As for how you receive it that doesn’t concern me as it’s only how I receive it that I’m interested in.As for your procedure Ive never heard anything like it!Ive to open the container and send you a picture of the contacts to enable you to check it at your end?No why don’t I do the logical thing and contact you as soon as I receive the hardened powder.Then return the sealed tub which I haven’t opened as I didn’t want to contaminate it and you can then check it at your end?All of this to avoid reimbursement of postage costs,really?Its now on its way back.
Ordered a ‘powder’ and when it arrived a week late it was solid.I called to explain what had happened and thought the process would be simple as the item was faulty.After several emails this company don’t want to accept responsibility and are trying to convince me that the data on the safety sheet states it’s ‘solid’!Yes that’s correct salt is a solid but not a solid mass.This is still not resolved as they are very reluctant to pay for postage costs for the return and also the delivery costs to which I am entitled.(The package is small and would only incur a small cost). I have now been asked to break the safety seal on it and take pictures of the contents to enable the manager to assess it as it may be the case that I would need to break it down myself?Ive purchased this item from other sellers and it comes as a coarse salt!I’ve refused to do so as this would invalidate their terms and conditions pertaining to a return.I will be returning it and will open a case with PayPal.Seems this company is good as long as you don’t have a problem with your order and if you do be prepared for the shambles that follows.

After reviewing the email correspondence and your order, please see below the following points:
You have made a claim regarding the product you received being faulty however we have not been able to investigate it as you have refused to send over the information and follow the process we require.
The product you purchased Potassium Iodide comes to us in solid clumps, and we break it down using a mallet. Our team do their very best to break down the solid clumps and some can be missed and present themselves still, this does not make the item faulty. We cannot help how the product comes to us which is why the information is stated on the MSDS. If you are not happy with the product form as we have said in the email you are more than welcome to send the product back at your own cost for a refund minus the delivery fee as we supplied the correct product.
We also would have been happy ahead of purchase to have sent over images to you of the product as we have had customers request this in the past for other products.
If you have concerns that your product is faulty, we follow a company process.
We ask all customers to send an image of the label showing the batch and expiry along with an image of the inside of the container. This is then passed to our technical team for investigation and would not have caused any issues if a refund/replacement needed to be actioned. This is a company procedure for our team to carry out a quality check.
I can see from the email exchanges that you refused to do this. Therefore as we could not investigate this, the only other option available was for you to send the product back at your own cost and we can investigate from there and put any issues right. This would have been at your own cost as we cannot determine a faulty product without the batch, expiry, and product images therefor it may not have been faulty.
I can see my team have tried to help resolve this issue best we can but unfortunately you have refused any of the quality check procedures we have asked.

no help when their courier screwed up

ebay sale, product not delivered to my address. They raised a dispute but ebay closed in their favour on the basis that it was delivered, so the ebay dispute process is not fit for purpose in this circumstance. I saw no delivery on my ring doorbell camera and despite saying they sent a delivery image as proof to my email, they did not and simply refused to attach one in an eBay message, so I don't think there was an image or they know it is the wrong address. I'm giving up, it was only £20. Do not expect help if the courier screws up, it will be your loss.

I have looked through all the eBay correspondence and we never refused to send the image. We sent the image to your email and we stated this numerous times so unfortunately your review is misleading. If you did not receive this - we would of happily sent it over. (and still will).

eBay closed in our favour as we provided all the information to prove that the item was successfully delivered and signed for including providing you and eBay with an image & GPS.

Not great!

Order arrived promptly, however it was posted through my letterbox and ripped open by my dog.

I feel it could have been more appropriately packed and sent via a signed for delivery method - I feel like that should almost be a definite?

I ordered some scientific and chemical products from apcpureon 9th.August. Inevitably there was some delay due to current supply problems, but I expected that, due to the current situation everywhere. The goods arrved on August 18th., well packed and all present. The only hitch was that I was not advised of dispatch until the day of dispatch, and I was meant to be elsewhere at the expected delivery time. I was able to contact the courier, APC Overnight and they contacted their driver and re-arranged delivery to a neighbour the same day. Splendid! I am a new customer, and am impressed by their helpfulness. Will use them again.
