I bought an AO Smith Z9 for ₹25,000 and the company representative came to install and explain. After a year, the filter needed replacement and I contacted AO Smith and to my great dismay, they told me that they do not support my pin code -- the same pin code where they did offer installation and support at the time of purchase.

I asked them then how will I get a filter replacement. They said I can try getting service from a third-party. I asked how will I get original AO Smith from third-party, and they had no answer for that. What is the point of getting an expensive water purifier if you can't get genuine filters for replacement after one year.

So don't be fooled by this scam company. Their support and service are not just pathetic, but it doesn't exist. If you buy their expensive water purifier, it might work fine for one year, but when you need a routine filter replacement or service, you are on your own with no support or understanding whatsoever from the company. I highly suggest you to go for a better brand that has better after-sales support.

“Worst Service Ever – AO Smith Completely Failed Me”
I am using the AO Smith water purifier (Pro Planet P4), and I am extremely disappointed with their AMC-based service.
If anyone is planning to purchase an AO Smith product, I would strongly suggest reconsidering your decision. The service experience has been very poor. The machine keeps developing issues frequently, and I have had to raise multiple complaints.
Additionally, there seems to be a shortage of service technicians, which leads to significant delays in resolving problems. In my case, it takes nearly a week to get an issue fixed, even after repeated follow-ups.
This level of service is highly unreliable, and I would not recommend it to others. I hope no one else has to face such inconvenience.
