Definitely a bad experience with…

Definitely a bad experience with Anitimefitness Australia. I had a problem with their app via email because I couldn't change the settings on my phone. I couldn't open the gym door. I requested a door chip, just like other customers had received. They refused to give me the chip without justification. I could only use the gym when staff were present (I couldn't exercise in the mornings, evenings, and on holidays and Sundays, which negatively impacted my results). Customer service has been giving me the same response for three months, telling me I need to change the settings. Very poor service; the staff are busy with their personal belongings and playing with their phones. Outdated equipment, and the gym is expensive to use. I terminated my contract due to poor service quality. Of course, I had to pay a fine. The bathrooms were dirty. I felt like a second-class customer. Embarrassing.

Hi Anytime fitness on 128 street any 96 Ave is the worst they ask you to sign contract ,most of the time most of the people are not able to read their terms and conditions and they cheat with innocent people . Work gym in Surrey .

Deceptive sales, scammy terms and conditions

Don't sign anything until you have had the details of your contract explained to you in detail. Sales team will try to mislead you into multi-year contracts.

Edit: a company representative was in touch after the runaround from the salesman on staff prompted this review. Having received notification of cancellation directly from her, I intend to maintain this review reflecting my actual experiences until I can confirm that no further charges will be attempted on my card

I have had continued billing after the…

I have had continued billing after the end of my yearly contract. I have multiple emails to them stating that I did not wish to proceed with my membership after my commitment end date.

I have called and sent multiple emails to amend this and have still got no response. It has been a nightmare to try to get them to stop charging me for a service I’m not using on top of the fact that my contract ended over 2 months ago!

This Gym is fraudulent! Im writing this so that people are aware and don’t get stuck in the same position as me. Definitely find an alternative gym.

My opinion anytime fitness Hereford

Well what can I say , firstly be very very careful when joining, you can not get out of the contract no matter how hard you try you can not stop the direct debit it will automatically come out “ 2nd do not mention anything you don’t like , like the extreme loud music of rap music playing the same music constantly,, dam right annoying. 3rd the rubbish on the floor bottles paper cups and the worst is the bubble gum be careful were you sit and stand, this is Hereford in my opinion they have very young adults who seem to act like children in my opinion
4th don’t be fooled into believing that you are getting a good deal in my opinion you don’t get what you think 🤔,, but this is my opinion,, but it’s up to you ,,good luck

Some locations are way to small

Some locations are way to small, it’s impossible to workout if there’s just 5 people at the gym. Other locations are larger and better. You will need to visit a few to see which ones are better, no one likes to workout in small busy gym.

Gym is okay, but desperate to take your money.

I have been a member for 2+ years living in South Portland. Gym is fine and fits my needs. After a work injury, they continued to charge me which is expected and I don’t blame them for that. It’s on me, but when I have reached out over the past month, multiple times, asking specifically to “cancel my membership”, the manager in South Portland has been terrible. First was just a message with no way to cancel…I asked again repeatedly…the next was a link to the page of South Portland, with no instructions or way to cancel that I could see. Now I have been charged another month, after asking again and again to cancel my membership! Gym is okay, but find somewhere else if they need the money this bad. Terrible business practices and desperate to keep members.

Warm welcome

I felt very well welcomed in my first day at Anytime Fitness Newmarket. The registration was very complete and clear. Also as soon I was ready to start my journey, one trainer was assigned to me, who explained on a clear and detailed way, how to use the machines.

Anytime fitness Hornchurch

Extremely poor consumer handling from this Anytime Fitness franchise. The gym was locked by landlord enforcement and bailiffs and members had no access, no alternative facility, no transparency and no refunds. I submitted a cancellation during the closure and the franchise replied that they would only respond “once the gym has reopened”, which is not consistent with the Consumer Rights Act for continuous services.

When the gym eventually reopened, rather than processing the cancellation or issuing a pro-rata refund for days without service, the franchise ignored the correspondence and then terminated my membership under “antisocial behaviour”. This is particularly absurd as I only ever trained during unstaffed hours and even emailed proactively to pay for a single bottle I took during unstaffed access.
Checking the Hornchurch community groups, this is not the first landlord lockout and members previously complained about no refunds.

I am pursuing the pro-rata refund through Small Claims as the franchise has blocked further correspondence.

The Anytime brand has solid clubs elsewhere. Unfortunately this franchise does not meet the standard.

Never ever gonna recommend on joining…

Never ever gonna recommend on joining the membership. Especially if you are a working a person. Once you join the membership there is no way to cancel it. The only way is you have "medical issue" or leaving the country. As from the working person who barely have time to go anywhere, I regret joining it. Now I have to pay monthly even tho I don't have time to go to gym, until end of my contract. I wish I never join this. Lesson learned.
