Travel pouch purchased 3 years ago from…

Travel pouch purchased 3 years ago from net a porter. The clear plastic has fallen apart from the leather trim. For an item that is £245 and hardly used, it is pretty abismal quality. Customer service also said they would not be able to repair. What a waste of money

Don’t shop here if you’re outside the UK

I bought the small Vere saddle bag and found the quality of the zip really poor. It got stuck on both sides which is unacceptable for a bag at this price point. Unfortunately, returning the bag (unused, exactly placed in original packing) has been a nightmare. They don’t offer a return label/carrier for the EU, even though it’s shipped from Italy. It’s insane to have a luxury brand not provide return shipping or even a prepared label for which you then pay the return shipping cost. Had to scramble to find an appropriate carrier and send multiple emails just to get a contact tel# needed for the delivery service.

The carrier I chose delivered the bag back to AH Italy 3 days later, but AH didn’t confirm it was rec’d. So had to email, again, to get confirmation they were processing the return. I was told it would take up to 5 days. After 8 days, again no acknowledgement of the return being rec’d nor a refund to my credit card. I had to email once AGAIN and have been told it can take another 5 days for my refund to be credited?! Really? This is all within the EU and you can’t manage a refund within 10 days of receiving a return? Awful. I’ll never shop here again.

ANYA HINDMARCH IS THE NEW CHRISTMAS GRINCH

ANYA HINDMARCH IS THE NEW CHRISTMAS GRINCH! We purchased expensive grotto tickets for me and my toddler and on the day of the experience we were stuck due to a road closure driving into London. I called up customer service and spoke to a colleague called India en route over an hour in advance to say there had been an accident on the A406 and that our 1.5hr commute had now added on another hour and that we would be 15mins late for our Christmas grotto experience by the time we get into London and park up. I called to ask if it was possible to attend a later a lot or tag onto the end of our experince. Was told that we would’nt be allowed in after 5mins of being late and that we cannot even join the last part of the experince for my little one to meet Santa and at least get a picture and present. I paid £50 for this ticket for 1 child and 1 adult.

I then asked if they could accommodate my toddler onto any other day, again, told no rudely. I then finally asked if they weren’t going to let us join the last part of our experience or accommodate letting us join another timeslot or reschedule on another day, as a minimum, could they at least (as a goodwill gesture in light of the circumstances and the fact we were making a 2.5hour joinery) refund us or provide a vouche so that the 2.5hour drive and dissapointment for my 2 year old who was not going to be allowed to see Santa despite paying for a 30min slot, was somewhat eliviated. Again, refused. We decided to go to the grotto as we were already 1.5hour into our journey and thought the staff at the grotto might be more empathetic. When we got to the grotto the staff there weren’t any better and again wouldn’t even let my little girl join in to see Santa or tag on to the next slot. Basically this company steal your money, disappoint children and have rude customer service representatives who aren’t accommodating or friendly whatsoever.

I completely appreciate we were running late but our 1.5hour journey ended up being 2.5hours otherwise we would have got there atleast 1hr ahead of our slot. The fact that we paid for a 30min slot and was refused entry past 5mins of being late and not even allowed to tag onto the last part to meet Santa or tag onto the next slot (just 1 toddler and an adult) is insane. For a luxury brand running grotto’s for children, there is absolutely no empathy or understanding that sometimes even with your best intentions, things happen in life which result in unforeseen or circumstances.

As soon as my satnav had added on another hour because of the road closure and accident, I called customer service for the grotto 1.5hour AHEAD of our slot and they refused to help in anyway and keep our money. Avoid at all costs. Anya Hindmarch was a brand I used to shop from, never again. Not when you cannot treat your customers with small children with respect, empathy or understanding.

Poor Packaging

I bought a gift for my daughter and on receipt checked the product and part of it was unwrapped. It suggested to me that this had been sold, returned and sent back out. I contacted customer services who apologised and suggested I unwrapped the rest so it matches. Yes, they are correct it would, yes it is what I did but as a customer buying a premium product should I have to?

If I was at Aldi then I would expect this but not from a brand like this hence my discontent.

Don’t buy any of the plastic travel or make up pouches. They are not worth the money. After a while they scratch easily and looks shoddy. The large tote bag is too stiff and overall the designs are fun but the quality is not up to the price. Doesn’t last well. Customer service is not up to standard. They don’t have the motivation to resolve issues. Only excuses provided.

Visited the village to purchase one specific item. Arrived only to find that the item had sold out with no chance of it returning to sale.
The staff, so friendly and helpful, after explaining how far i had traveled and that the item was for my daughter one of the staff kindly gave me a voucher for a free coffee. a small but very kind gesture.
This made my whole trip

Disappointed long-term customer

I’ve been a customer of Anya Hindmarch for years – since starting out in my career treating myself to my first Joss wallet to stickers and now buying quite a few novelty bags. The recent purchase from Anya Archive has been disappointing.

Most Anya products have been made in Italy this is usually indicated by hot foil stamping on the central leather tag inside. Recent years they don't even specify what country the bag is made in on their website. You'll only know when the order arrives from your online purchase, it's now on a tiny tab in the corner to say it's from China.

I'm particularly disappointed with this year's purchase because I've wanted a smiley range bag for so long – and I've not been able to afford it when it originally released. So I was thrilled seeing it appear in the Archive – I immediately placed an online order, when the bag arrived I noticed it did not match the online pictures. The online pictures was when the bag was made with more details such as studded adjustable strap, back zip pocket and additional card slots. To keep costs low, the bag strap is now a simple belt style and has only one internal card slot. This is a huge reduction in detail – yet marketing it as an 'archive' release, this is just a budget re-issue of the original bag.

After enquiring with customer services, they didn't offer any compensation for misleading the consumer only a discount code for my next order.

As a fan of the brand I do visit sample sales – only to find most of the unsold archive collection appear there with almost the same price as it was on the website, this hardly a sample sale deal, just selling off old stock at the same price. As a smart consumer, I would recommend looking for Anya Hindmarch on The Outnet, as I've found the price more competitive than found in sample sales!?

This sadly will be my last purchase from Anya – as they mis-represented the bag in pictures and showed no attempt to recency this mistake. Overall very disappointed product and poor customer service.
