Complain about support???
I see a lot of reviews complaining about support never being online and that is true. I message in the live chat and don't get responses often, but as soon as I open a support ticket I got a response almost instantly and my issue was solved within 30 mins. The live chat tells you to open a ticket if no one is online so I guess the others didn't see this message.
Overall they provide a wonderful service that me and my friends have used for years. They have a great support staff and are always willing to help! I highly recommend this hosting service!

Horrible Support!
Every single time I went on the website, support wasn't online and when they were my questions would never be answered. Not good support at all!
Terrible support and performance
Terrible support and performance
I have bought enough RAM to run 30-40 plugins with less than 5 people, but:
- The server was crashing every 3 hours
- The support is NEVER online
- It takes almost 24 hours to someone reply to you
- They moved my server node but it went from 20* TPS to 3-11 TPS
Never using this host again.
Horrible Customer Support
I have been using Anvilnode as the hosting serving for my Minecraft server since May 2020 and have finally experienced what the other people have complained about. Tickets go unanswered for days, even when the problem is urgent. Their servers are not good at all. I've been monitoring using the Plan plugin and the node I'm at is at 98% CPU usage even though there are no people on my server. As soon as someone goes in, the server is already behind a few hundred ticks. I had been told that it was fixed but it obviously has not and it seems as if their customer support has iced me out and has not been responding at all.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
An excellent host...

Fine host that lets you do you
It's been around three months that I started using Anvilnode for my Minecraft server. I took the 1GB offer because I wanted to try it out and it turns out to be fairly good.
I like the fact that you are pretty much free to do anything you want in terms of running alternative server executables or configure your server through FTP access. (meaning you dont actually need to pay more to run all the mods you want)
I had to use a different server executable (Fabric) than the default one to avoid lag but I can't tell if it has to do with having only 1GB of RAM or default minecraft server 15.2 not being optimized at all or with Anvilnode itself.
Also keep note they make it really easy to run your server with Spigot or Paper and others. You just need to click on the server type that suits you best and it gets installed.
I did wait a full day before being able to use the server after purchasing the first month. That wasn't a problem.
Anyway for the usage I make of it it works just fine. However, given the price of the 2GB offer, I would probably find another host if it turns out I need more RAM. Fair enough

A viable option
Honestly not that bad of a server option. If playing small number of friends its a great option but have to consider location aswell. Whats weird was that i as asian living near singapore chosen singapore server still have a bad connection.

Pretty much took my money
It has been over two weeks since I payed for my server. SUPPOSEDLY, it's ready, but I still cannot access my server.
To start at the beginning, their first correspondence with me was after their 48 hour refund policy had elapsed. I payed the extra $4 to have a mod pack installed. As fas as I can tell, it was not installed. I installed the mod pack myself only to run into problem after problem. The customer service is next to nonexistent and I still haven't heard back from them a week later.
I have used a few other Minecraft hosts in the past but never have I had such an abysmal experience.
Very unstable servers
Very unstable servers, HORRIBLE service and support tickets take ages. Oh and the livechat? Never online.
We're moving on
We've had our server running with Anvilnode for about a year. The past week and a half the server has been crashing constantly. We couldn't connect except for a minute here and there. We stopped the Minecraft server on it and the server still continually had problems. Support all but ignored our many requests for help. Once we could get on the server long enough to download our world we left for a different hosting provider. This was the absolute worst hosting I've ever seen. Horrible performance, horrible support and an overall horrible experience.
Complete ripoff
Bought a server, it was stuck "pending" forever even after paying the invoice. Could not get any answer from support. Company is a complete rip off.
Started out great
Started out great, everything was good, good prices and good support. After being with them for around a year it's been downtime, downtime, downtime and even more downtime. Livechat hasn't been online for 2 months, tickets take ages to get answered and support is generally horrible.
This will soon go out of business for sure. Avoid this host.
Data corruption, incompetence, and more
Anvilnode has disrupted my server multiple times in the two years I've been with them. Here's a short list of the things they've done:
- Suddenly removing two-factor security from my account after an unannounced panel upgrade
- Suddenly removing the MySQL database from my server for no reason
- Custom subdomains for the server ceasing to work for days
- And finally, the reason I'm writing this review, irreversible DATA CORRUPTION. Anvilnode allowed the node my server was running on to completely run out of storage space, leading to everything from player data, world data, and plugin data corrupting while trying to save. After going back and forth with their support for a MONTH, NOTHING came of it and no backup was restored, my questions ignored several times.
Avoid at all costs.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE NEVER USING AGAIN
If I could give lower than 1 star i would have,
If any of you are planning to host a server, don't even bother getting it from AnvilNode. Just use ExtraVM. AnvilNode's "24/7 Support" is actually a "1 week to reply 1 ticket" support. Awful experience. After paying for a server in Singapore, I was then only told that they ran out of stock for servers in that region. Why am I not told about the stock status before I make the payment !? Not only that, I then open a ticket to ask for refund as I cant request to cancel a server that is not "active" yet since they "ran out of stock". My ticket was replied after 5-7 days and they told me to wait for the server to get on and then request for the cancellation. Okay that seems fine. As soon as the server gets on, I request for a cancellation. But it just goes worst here as I only realized that my cancellation was REJECTED as my "cancellation reason was invalid". Not only that, they did not give me a notification or email about my cancellation being rejected and all I can is wait for my $8 to be taken from me as my servers end date is tomorrow.
All in all,
Terrible support,
Terrible host,
Terrible Management,
Basically a scam.
Don't even bother getting a server from them.
Shameless promotion for another host which is ExtraVM which did me so well. They helped me with my technical issues, support does not take an entire week to get a reply and performance was great.
To the owner and staff of AnvilNode, you guys are nothing but a waste to this world
Decent servers, terrible service
Servers are decent but the TPS can drop significantly at times. Anvilnode's support is probably the worst I've ever seen - I've had a ticket open for 10 days and even talked to multiple staff members several times on their discord server and yet it is still being ignored.
UPDATE: once they figured themselves out, they gave me an extra 15 days because of the delay.
Perfect service
Perfect service, great prices. Got recommend by some new friends and didn't regret it!
