NEVET buying from Anthony's again

When I ordered, I put in the address I wanted to ship to upon checkout, but for whatever reason, Anthony's CHANGED the address I chose to a UPS store instead. If i wanted to leave the house and make an unnecessary trip, I would've driven to the store and purchased the flour myself; I ordered online specifically for the convenience. Speaking with someone is impossible. They don't answer phone calls or emails. And of course they "don't do refunds". What a joke of a company. DON'T BUY FROM THEM.

Unreliable

I ordered cream from Anthony’s Goods last Monday, Dec 29th. After 7 days with no tracking and no communication, I finally called and left a voicemail and also emailed asking where my order was.

Within hours of me reaching out, I suddenly received an email saying my order had shipped.

It’s pretty obvious the order sat untouched for a full week and only shipped because I contacted them. That’s not acceptable. If I hadn’t followed up, I honestly doubt it would have gone out when it did.

No proactive updates, no explanation for the delay, and no accountability. This experience felt reactive and careless, not professional.

Very displeased and not impressed. I won’t be ordering from Anthony’s Goods again.

Terrible customer service

Reached out to customer service and they ignored my request for a refund due to their cinnamon being tested and having high lead levels. Terrible customer service.

Great Gluten-Free Products & Testing For Gluten; Despicable Shipping Leaves Products Potentially Gluten Cross-Contaminated

Their products are great, but their customer service is completely horrible. They go to the trouble of batch testing products for gluten, something that is super appreciated. However, they use Amazon to ship items and Amazon workers carelessly packaged both boxes and one item from each box was damaged. Now those two products are potentially gluten cross-contaminated and not safe for me to consume since my goal is to ensure there is no gluten cross-contamination for my wheat allergy.

After they refund it as they said they will, I will have to either try buying it again or paying much more for the same gluten-free product on another website that offers much better packaging and shipping. I asked them to resend it and they didn't seem to want to do that, strangely enough. I would strongly recommend not purchasing powder-type products. The response about the packaging and it not being safe elicited a particularly irking response about them not seemingly caring at all whether it was damaged and unsafe for those with gluten intolerance because of possible gluten cross-contamination from damage beyond being an inconvenience": We apologize for the inconvenience! Since these bags are shipped instead of picked up at your local grocery store, due to all the moving around it is possible for the bags to get damaged. We will go ahead and refund the item for you!"

They are owned by or associated with Amazon

I ordered organic millet from Anthony's Goods and am enjoying the delicious millet. However, I won't shop there again. They are somehow associated with or owned by Amazon. My order came from Amazon with all the Amazon packaging. I am making a conscious effort not to shop at Amazon and I feel it is dishonest of them to portray themselves as a family business and then have Amazon somehow fulfill their orders.

Good products, but problematic Web site and customer service

I recently placed an order with Anthony's. I used a coupon code in my cart, and before checking out, everything looked fine. But then after I paid with my credit card, somehow the discount got removed! 😠

I immediately sent their Customer Service an e-mail telling them about what happened. However, they said there was no way they could still give me the discount, which I didn't like at all.

Still worse, when my package arrived, it contained a package of FORTIFIED nutritional yeast, when I wanted unfortified nutritional yeast instead. Then I figured out what had happened. When I had gone to their Web site to place my order, I entered "nutritional" in their search box. But oddly enough, that search only brings up the *fortified* nutritional yeast, not the unfortified. So, if you want to buy unfortified nutritional yeast, it's very difficult to find that product on their Web site. Anyway, because of this confusion, I thought I was ordering unfortified nutritional yeast, when it was in fact the fortified type instead.

So, I decided to call their customer service and leave a message. Unfortunately, they don't have a toll-free number, so it's on the customer's dime. And then in their recording, they say, "Feel free to leave us a message," but then they babble on for about two more minutes before they actually allow you to leave one!! 😤 I told them about my experience, and also said that if they didn't do something to make things right, I would no longer order from them in the future.

Well, their customer service never called me back, so I assumed that they were just ignoring my problem. But then when I checked my e-mail a couple of days later, to my surprise, I found out that they had actually refunded me the money for the fortified nutritional yeast.

Anyway, that's not good "communication." They should've called me back to let me know what they were going to do. Still, things could've been much worse. At least they gave me my money back for that one product, so I may still order from them again in the future.

In a nutshell, Anthony's has good products, but not the greatest Web site or customer service. So, if you do decide to order from them, just use caution.

I ordered from Anthony's Goods…

I ordered from Anthony's Goods directly, I could not see that it was connected with AMAZON, as I do not want to use Amazon. But the shipment was with AMAZON and I never got what I ordered. They got the address wrong. I send three emails, I called and left a message on the mailbox, but no one reacted, no one got back to me. I lost 50$.
I could not complain to AMAZON, because I am not an Amazon costumer and don't want to be!

I placed an order

I placed an order, after a week it didn't show any updates that it has been shipped. I emailed them, no response. The next day I called them as they are in CA and so am I. Went to voicemail. No call back. A couple of days later I emailed again and called. Nothing. I filed a dispute with my bank. They finally responded with a sad excuse and said they placed my order, if it can't be fulfilled we will refund you for items out of stock. WTH? They placed two orders which amounted to more than double what I actually ordered. They said my order was mismanaged. Anyhow, I left it to my bank. Don't trust this company.

Organic Chlorella from China

Their organic Chlorella is from China. They do not make that clear before purchasing on Amazon or their website. This company is unethical. Do not order from them. Just because it says organic, doesn't mean they can be trusted. Organic Chlorella from China is not safe.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I wanted to buy product but had question. They ignore emails and phone calls. Tried multiple times both ways and after about 5 weeks I gave up. The phone recording says best to email for quicker response, but no response to any form of communication!

Just nastyBe very careful when ordering…

Be very careful when ordering food/edible items from sellers/manufacturers on Amazon
The return policy is very small or hidden. I purchased the Heavy Cream Powder from @anthonysgoods Anthony's Good Food Market at it is absolutely horrible. It taste like powder milk. If you are a 60s/70s kid and have experienced powder milk - you know🤢🤮 The seller will not allow it to be returned based on some BS out of Californication food guidelines. Go California! No surprise here. This mess is disgusting. At 18.99 a bag this mess is just nasty on so many levels

Anthony's:Trying new things straight up experience

Ordered several items from Anthony's Goods via Amazon including the yeast flakes with the pea protein bundle, the confectioners and granular erythritol bundle, spiralina, and strawberry powder. I have prime so I opted for two day prime shipping says it'll be to my door Thursday night and splits up Anthony's products into three packages. I get the first two packages fine (that had one other sellers item each) but one hadn't that was three items all Anthony's. Tracking says it's delayed although all three items are still listed as in stock. I think okay hopefully it'll ship tomorrow. Spoiler it didn't, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday come and go without any update and Monday morning no news but when I get home later that day a package is by the door and it's here. Now I can tell you about the products as I've used some of each. The Erythritol confectioners and granular are good and similar to another popular white bag brand but cost less per lb with AG, the yeast flakes slightly cheesy and pretty spot on compared to name brand for consistency, pea protein is soft and uniform just like the spirulina. Did notice the spirulina has a more blue hue than similar priced brands which likely indicates even drying from what I've read. But best I saved for last, the strawberry powder I was looking forward to most is spot on nothing off or bitter just organic strawberry flavor perfect for cakes or shakes and no doubt more. The packaging could have a better seal but I like the products so far so I'll try a few more.

truth in labelling

Anthony's Goods nutritional yeast profile claims there is naturally occurring, fermentation-derived vitamin b12 on the back of their product. The b12 is labeled, however, as cyanocobalamin which is always the synthetic version of the real (real being methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin, depending on the chemical makeup) so what gives? Upon researching, the information that presents itself is yeast cannot produce b12; they create a host of other b vitamins but can't seem to produce that pesky little b12. fraudulent labelling?

Anthonys Organic Coconut Sugar 5lbs

Anthonys Organic Coconut Sugar 5lbs, arrived with a hole in the bag and covered in ants. Despite this being a Prime purchase, it is apparently un-replaceable and un-refundable. I have always loved Anthony's products, but not sure I will purchase again considering the lack of care in shipping and lack of ability to return if an item arrives in unusable condition. Off to the compost pile with this, I guess. At least the ants can enjoy it.

Poor customer care!

Shipped a product poorly packaged in just a plastic shipping bag. One of the contents was opened on arrival (which happens) reached out to company with two separate emails absolutely no response. No email, no call, no replacement nor refund. Other products that arrived were good quality. Lack of customer care is huge for me. I eventually filed a complaint with my credit card and was refunded for the product. I never heard from the company though. I am giving a 3 only because the product was legit quality at a fair price otherwise I would have stuck with 1star.
