Terrible excuse for a loan company
Terrible excuse for a loan company. Rip-off merchants more like it. Don't use them!! Find another more serviceable company with some class. Antelope has none.

Phoned the company to enquire about settling my loan early. The recorded message said our lines are open from
09:15, but this was 09:35.
I “borrowed” £7,500, but the agreement showed the capital/advance as £7,200 — so £300 was taken straight off the top. That is not transparent, and it’s misleading. Call it a “fee” or whatever you like, but it was money deducted immediately and not clearly explained at the point I took the loan.
Then it gets worse: after only 3 payments I settled the account, and I still ended up paying back MORE than £7,500 in total. The settlement figure and the way the charges/interest were applied felt completely predatory and designed to catch people out.
If you value honesty and clear pricing, stay away. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
What an appalling company. My post office loan was sold to these incompetents in May and I requested a settlement figure in July and paid the loan in full. I’ve just received an email 6 months later saying there are several missed payments on my account, rang them to confirm what’s happening and a woman called Brydy told me they’d done nothing with the account since I sent them the money and it isn’t closed down! For 6 months they’ve had thousands of pounds from me. I’m already in the process of making a complaint, but I am also reporting to the FCA because this is abhorrent & has seriously messed up my credit score for an error that isn’t even mine!!! Absolute morons.
Post office sold my loan to these idiots. Didn't make the last payment in error as thought my loan finished in November. I advised I will make a payment in 3 days (Two as of today) as clearly didn't budget what with thinking my loan had finished and Xmas just gone. They have harassed me over three days and now tried calling me after I have already emailed them! Absolutely useless. I know where your Caerphilly offices are too!!!
Had a loan with Vanquis that i paid every month on the due date, No problems there. I then was fortunate to come into a little money and i paid with proof the full amount of 2.7k off They then told me i had to make that same months payment as well on top of my settlement so i did, again with proof of the payment going out. I viewed my credit score a few weeks later and vanquis have noted that my account is 21000 owing to me. Clearly a mistake so i informed them. I then looked at my score again later and they had re done it as if i owed them 21k. this then goes to zero in may 2025. September 2025 i get emails and letters saying i owe the exact same amount as the one single months payment i made additionally i mentioned earlier.
These Antelope idiots got me to send proof in with screenshots, bank statements the lot to which i had a response saying vanquis are a bit slow but they should respond. In the meantime now december they have added to my credit file that i am one month in arrears. This is on a loan i have shown as being paid off with proof of payments. I spoke to them today and they said they are looking into it still. I said you cant change my credit file when there has still not been an outcome!
I have never dealt with such incompetence from a company dealing with loans. I took out a loan with Vanquis banking and was told my loan was sold to this company back in July. I pay above my monthly payment every month with not a missed or late payment, and have always been in credit!
Last month this company lost my payment between Vanquis and Antelope loans. First I knew about this was when I received an email telling me my account was in arrears and I hadn’t paid. I called up spoke to customer service and confirmed I had paid. I was then told to contact my back to see if the payment had come back. It hadn’t. So they inform me they will be looking into where the lost payment has gone. 7 days later I still haven’t heard anything back so I email to enquire only to be told they are disappointed I still haven’t paid the arrears!!
After I emailed them over 4 times with no correspondence back I report them to my bank as a possible fraud scam. I am now awaiting back and have cancelled my direct debit for this months loan payment and I have had to do a quick recall with my bank to recall last months payment.
I also will be reporting this company after seeking legal advice.
This company have posted two missed payments to my credit file that I have made. It's impossible to communicate with them to get anything resolved.
Typical Finance Industry Scum
Typical Financial Industry Scum, adding a loan to my credit record that I never had.
This has lowered my credit score and added 8k to my used credit
They are like the sneaky scum that undermines life, robbing everyone and laughing as they go.
Forget all the paid reviews, these people should go to prison for the stress and harm they cause.
No response to emails, no comms, I only spotted it when I was looking at my credit report. Scum
Roll on the copy and paste nonsense response.
Reported it to Transunion as fruad, contatcing the FCA now
and no, I am not calling to have an untrackable conversation about how sorry you are and how much you do not care
