A regrettable decision to introduce bugs in the '14-day free trial + FREE plugin' offer. I recommend vigilance with all potentially dubious subscriptions, not only here but across platforms. Unscrupulous companies thrive on your lack of awareness or haste, exploiting legal loopholes. The installer is exceptionally inefficient. Now, I find myself with an unintended 2x Choir plugin license – not exactly the great deal it initially seemed.

To think this was once the Industry standard. Now reduced to shady practices to nickel & dime customers.

What a shame.

Signed up for the 14 day trial and forgot my password, tried using the ‘forgot password’ button but it doesn’t work; I never got a email from them to reset it. Contacted support and they told me there’s “no account connected to that email address” (my email that I received the literal RECEIPT for my free trial on). I still have a week or so before the trial ends and will not take the risk of losing money so I guess I will be getting a new bank card… I also had one of my anti-virus’ scan my pc and showed that Antares is literal adware. Save yourself the headache and do NOT download, buy or get a free trial from this company what so ever!

Did try their 14 days free trial but ended it, weeks later they randomly withdrew 224$ from my bank that were my rent money. The support refused to refund me and next month I'm gonna be homeless because they took it all without permission. Been a loyal customer for years but today they proved me wrong with their unacceptable behavior. Im so afraid and depressed to not be able to pay my home due, don't know what to do.

They Been trying to avoid me with no replies, their actions are illegal and should be taken to justice.

They send you notice that you renewal is due the same day as they stop your payment. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

They won't stop billing you! Go to their website and they won't let me cancel the subscription! Horrible thieves!

Bought harmony engine from thomann,piece of cake.Trying to get it registered on the antares website ,which is the most un user friendly web site ever created is impossible.3 hours so far and nothing but going around in circles .If Only I could get my money back ! what a nightmare ,never again will I but any antares software.😡

I bought a Focusrite Scarlet Solo 3rd Gen Soundcard from Drumcity where I could download some software which included Antares Auto-Tune Access. Now I have tried to download the app in about a month, but the same problem keeps coming up. I called Drumcity, but the second person I talked to just told me that he had downloaded the app on a mac the same day. First thing first I have an Asus and it didn´t help me with my problem which is that it tells me the ZIP-compressed file can´t open. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This company is absolutely horrible- which is bazaar because it was my understanding they had a reputable name! I’m completely shocked. I purchased their monthly subscription Autotune Unlimited package for $35.68/month CAD with the commitment that I would be charged monthly for a minimum of 2 months. I was fine with that. They began charging me $35.68 every 6-7 days and told me a refund was not possible. Want to bet? No worries, my bank refunded the charge and issued a new card. Took 2 days to fix. It’s a shame that a company like this would take advantage of independent/emerging artists, knowing that is their target audience. Their reputation is destroyed, I will never give my money to Antares again. I should have listened to the industry professionals.

They have been charging me for a subscribyion of autotune pro even though I bought the full version of autotune pro back in 2019
I let them know of this situation and they told me that it's not possible.
Their system should already have an algorythm that doesn't let users account be able to pay for something they already own in advance.
It's the second time they are harrasing me, back in 2019 I bought the wrong package which should have been the EFX and not the PRO version of autotune. It did cost the same but they wouldn't switch it, more likely.
They don’t care about customers, they are more greedy after money than satisfaction

They got me with the double dip too. Been charging me for two subscriptions to the same software . They also offload their e commerce to another company who has no support. they also WILL NOT REFUND ONLINE SALES ... Even when they are in error. Nice little scam they got runnin here.

I had a 14-day trial which ended and I could no longer use the software. I liked it so much so I decided to subscribe for real a bit later. After a month I realised I was being double charged - turns out I had been getting charged for my “14 day trial” ever since it ended (even though those services had terminated) AND my active subscription. That’s $42NZD a week. That does not make me feel good. This feels like a scam :((( truly disappointing

SUMMARY:

I DID NOT WANT THIS UPGRADE. IT WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD KEEP USING THE SOFTWARE I ALREADY OWN, WHICH DOES NOT WORK WITH CURRENT OSX. So, in essence, Antares extorted me, and still didn't have the common sense to accept my extortion payment to continue to use software. Do NOT subscribe to a company whose ethics are this evil, and who will leave you unable to use software you own, possible when it is very critical to your work.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE to Antares' software, they have no ethics and will extort you as they extorted me, or possibly not even allow you to use software YOU PAID FOR.

LONG VERSION:

In order to save myself the trouble of fighting with poorly written software, I decided to upgrade Autotune (my version doesn't work - see other reviews here - with current OSX) It crashes Logic

I spent literally 90 minutes fighting with their horribly reviewed payment processor, Fastspring, which kept trying to charge me European VAT even though I am an American - and Euros. It's only 50 dollars difference, but I'm not a socialist, why should I pay 40% more! So, I contacted Antares, and they said to deal with fast spring.

So let's be clear. Antares didn't update the software I paid for to work on the current OSX, I offered to pay $100 just not to to deal with it. Free money for Antares, yet even so they were too unconcerned about their customer's welfare to let me send them money directly by paypal to upgrade to software I didn't even want, needed to keep working on current osx.

Even worse, now they're trying to sucker people into getting subscriptions. DO NOT BE DRAWN IN BY THIS. Wait for the day you have projects with their software, and suddenly your project doesn't work. And they do NOTHING to help. As happened to me, today.

Logic has a feature where you can move the pitch around on a grid. It's free with Logic, just one example of alternatives.

Or else you have projects with Antares software such as Autotune, and Antares might even go out of business. Your projects won't open then. Or they may decide to INCREASE your yearly subscription. Their software will be throughout your projects, they can blackmail you now by increasing their subscription price. They have PROVEN themselves not to give a damn about their customers. DO NOT TRUST THEM. There are alternatives, some even built into Logic.

The contempt with which they treated me today is the way they will treat you. And subscription software is for suckers. Beware.

PLEASE REMEMBER - I DID NOT WANT THIS UPGRADE. IT WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD KEEP USING THE SOFTWARE I ALREADY OWNED, WHICH DOES NOT WORK WITH CURRENT OSX. So, in essence, they extorted me, and still didn't have the common sense to accept my extortion payment to continue to use software I do not WANT to upgrade. Do you want to spend THREE HOURS fighting with one plugin you already paid for, just to keep using it? To offer money, and have them not even take the time to solve the problem with their contractor?

There are alternatives. Autotune is SO yesterday, anyway...

This company is a scam and they are using free trials to take people's money. I signed up for a free trial which I did not use at all, not even used their product key! Forgot to cancel the trial now I am being told that I cant cancel my account until I pay for two months subscription! SCAMMERS!

Just bought Antares Auto-Tune EFX to find out they haven't updated it's compatibility with Mac OS Bigsur yet. They've had over half a year to develop this, and I have no idea when they'll be updating. Amazing product, but this is highly unprofessional.

Please put this higher on your priorities as many users products suddenly are useless.

Antares Audio randomly charged me for a subscription I never agreed to (cancelled after free trial) but they do not accept refunds even after immediate cancellation, so if you are doing a free trial, please make sure to remove your account!

Subscribed for a 14 day free trial for it to not even work! Can only be connected through to a robot on the website and not a real human. Customer support is completely non existent and there are further complaints off other users on their twitter claiming that it keeps going down every single month! you pay 100's just for nothing!

They charged my card after the 6 month free trial of autotune unlimited, because I forgot to cancel it (they should’ve at least send a email reminder that it expires soon, so ai can cancel it) and when I requested refund, because I won’t use the product they ditched me. Stop using their products and switch to something with better support. I reported their actions to the police, blocked my card and gonna dispute the transaction at my bank.
