I am unable to give a zero star rating but need to warn people that this company is possibly about to go into liquidation over the fact they are unable to offer a refund to purchasers of their first generation bikes which have been shown to be defective - if you have a first generation bike you should have received this information - please consider a class action law suit to recover your money

The bike was delivered and at first was excellent, however the battery has ceased working after very little use. Angell agreed to replace the battery over 2 months ago but then nothing!!! They are blaming the delay on Brexit, I could have walked to France in 2 months. I have offered to collect a new battery from France but they have now stopped responding to my emails. I’m now stuck with a very expensive electric bike with no electric!!!!!

So I contacted Angell, who quickly offered me a solution to exchange the battery! The whole process was handled in one week... one word: efficiency. Now I'll be able to test the machine.

I always received quick and clear answers to my questions. They actively contributed ideas to localize the possible problem. The shipping of spare parts sometimes took a little long. The disadvantage of Angell is that they do not have an extensive dealer and maintenance network in Belgium, so I had to drive an hour for the actual repair. This was done by appointment and the friendly repairman not only replaced the defective parts, but also carried out a service. So a big thumbs up for the support.

I ordered the Angell S last June '21 after I got an email that the bike will be shipped within 2 weeks.
The bike came mid October '21 (!) - and since I had a broken my collarbone a week before I was not able to use it before May 22 this year.
And I must say my experience is everything apart from good!
The first 3 rides went fine and since then, there were some hickups, where the display said the battery is not connected (although it was!)
But since then it gave up totally:
The bike does not work although the display says that the motor is on eco, dry or fast mode.
Service is not answering at all (nothing new, all answers I had regarding leadtimes kept unanswered) - I want to give the bike back.
Update, June 28th: Customer Service answered after 4 days telling me I need to wrap the bike so that it gets picked up - but not telling me how to wrap it! When I sent pictures - I tried to wrap as good as I could- they did not like they way I wrapped it - so they asked me then if they should send a box, instead of just f*** doing it - which they could have done in the first place or at least tell the me how the bike best should be wrapped. 18 days have passed since then, I am now waiting for a box....and their customer service wrote more or less to me that it was my fault and they warned me if I didn't wrap correctly they would not pick it up - telling me I hadn't read their mail thoroughly. This is simply rude! Worst customer experience ever.
Update July 29th - the box they sent me is without instructions how to pack it - Angell keeps telling me that it is my responsibilty how to pack it - I tried several times to get an instruction how to pack the box - they suggested that I could also buy a box somewhere - if it wasn't so rude and so bad it is starting to get funny! It is quite foreseeable what is going to happen next...will keep you posted

Excellent service
Excellent service. Once the offer via Jobrad was created, I received a phone call to check if there were any questions regarding the offer or the bike itself. They also advised that they would call me again once I received my bike to discuss the first steps and questions regarding the bike.
The advised delivery time was faster than stated on the website. Even during the time of ordering the new bike and delivering it, I received status updates via E-Mail to keep me informed.

The whole purchase process is poorly…
The whole purchase process is poorly organised. You are selling a luxury item (€3k) and so one expects excellent customer service. Why was I unable to buy the bike plus accessories all at once and have the bike delivered with all the accesories attached? When one buys a car and selects various options, the car is delivered with the options installed! It makes no sense to deliver a luxury bike with no béquille or garde de bue. In addition, the bike was delivered in a big box which I had to then get rid of and then I could not figure out how to adjust the guideon. I am very busy and I do not have time to do "bricolage" in order to start using my bike. So without the béquille, the bike has already fallen down and scratched the paint. With respect to the bike, it rides fine (which one would expect), however, the GPS is poor and the lock/key for the battery is cheap and is not esay to use. Overall, I am afraid that I would not receommend a friend to buy an Angell bike. By the way, I am still waiting to purchase the béquille and garde de bue for the S model...
