June 8th - 12th Ocean View Shanklin

June 8th - 12th Seaview hotel IOW
Coach trip.
Missed our ferry connection due to supply taxi late. 1 hour for next ferry. 6 hours on coach.
Arrived at Hotel late. We had no time to go to room and freshen up after long journey. Restaurant manager very stroppy with us.
Meals not great people were sending them back as they were cold or under cooked

. Cheese cake 1inch thick tapered down to nothing.
Tea and coffee pots tepid most mornings had to send them back and breakfasts cold.
Too many steps everywhere, not suitable for all seniors. Was a lift but when out steps all around to wherever you wanted to go.
No hand rails or wall rails in bathroom I had to be lifted out of bath. Shower useless no water pressure and cold tap stuck.
Journey back a nightmare, people missed their stops.
In all very disappointed with Hotel, definitely not suitable for elderly people with disabilities.
First holiday with Angela Coaches and the LAST.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that aspects of your holiday did not meet your expectations.

We would like to clarify that the delay on arrival was not due to a late taxi, but unfortunately resulted from a medical emergency on the Wightlink ferry, which was outside of our control. We appreciate that this caused disruption to your journey and apologise for the impact this had on your arrival time and your first evening.

We are disappointed to read your comments regarding the hotel, meals, and facilities. This is not the level of feedback we usually receive for this hotel, and we take all comments seriously. We note that you have also contacted us directly, and we will be carrying out a full investigation with the hotel and our team so that we can better understand the issues raised.

We are also sorry to hear that you found the hotel access and facilities unsuitable for your needs. We always encourage customers to discuss any mobility requirements with our team before booking so that we can help recommend the most appropriate holiday and accommodation.

We appreciate you choosing Angela Holidays for your first trip with us and regret that your experience did not reflect the standards we aim to provide. We will respond to you directly once our investigation has been completed.

We have just returned from a four day…

We have just returned from a four day trip to Keukenhof Gardens in Holland.
Lovely comfortable seats with good leg room and very nice driver.Excellent Hotel, with pleasant staff.
We enjoyed a great steam train ride and a cruise around a beautiful lake,too..Thank you Angela Travel,we will be booking you again.
The only thing that spoilt ,our coach trip, was two ladies, one at the front of the coach ,a German lady and one at the back , who had a high pitched voice. These two ladies never stopped talking and really spoilt ,our trip.
PLEASE,PLEASE,can something be done as it really upset many ,of the lovely passengers, some, had come away to relax, after different situations.
Thank you again for a wonderful break.lv Karen xx

Good morning Karen, Thank you for your lovely feedback regarding the vehicle, driver and itinerary.
We are sorry to hear you felt your trip was spoilt by other passengers. We would encourage passengers to speak with their driver or host (at a rest stop or hotel) during the trip so they can ensure the whole group have a great time.
We look forward to you travelling with us again in the future.

Disappointing, Over-priced Holiday for solo traveller

Feeder Coach journey too long, 3 hrs before picking up main coach. Tour Guide was unintelligible, inexperienced and totally incompetent, no knowledge of tour/area we were visiting. Driver drove too fast through mountains in Wales. Hotel was not 4 star, basic food options for breakfast, dinner served too late. Over priced at £919 for 5 night stay in basic accommodation

Thank you for your feedback Mrs Dipple, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with our ' Little Trains of Wales ' holiday back in September 25. With regards to the price we feel we are competitively priced and fair to our clients. The basic cost of this holiday was £769 for a 5 day trip, the additional £150 was charged by the hotel for using a double room for sole use. This cost is determined by the hotel which we have no control over. The sole use room would have been offered as a choice, not something you had to pay.

We did not offer a guide on this tour, it was a hosted service which means there is a second representative with the driver to ensure smooth running of the tour. The host's role is to serve tea/coffee during the journey (where safe to) and ensure safe boarding of the train journeys included in this holiday as the driver is unable to leave the coach at some locations.

With regards to the feeder coach, during our busy seasons on occasion we arrange joint pick ups for tours that are heading in a similar direction and in this case the coach that picked you up was heading for Northumbria which swapped passengers in Winchester before continuing the journey to Wales. We do our best to route the tours logically and in the direction of travel and use feeder vehicles to reduce the amount of pick ups for the coach, aiming for a maximum of 2 hours.
We hope this clears up some of your points and your feedback will ensure we can improve our services in the future.

Hotel great, coach not fit for purpose.

Hotel great.
The coach was not fit for purpose.
Travelled from Hampshire to North Wales in a coach that seemed to be about 20 years old and was well past its use by date.
The toilet was not working for the entire holiday.
The windscreen was badly cracked. The driver told us it was being replaced while we were in Llandudno. It wasn’t.
The rear window was almost half filled with water and dirt which moved around with the motion of the coach.
Water could also be heard in the roof cavity and on the outward journey water came through either a ceiling vent or light fitting, soaking one of the seats.
The seats were rock hard, incredibly uncomfortable.
More minor inconveniences — there were no USB sockets, no WiFi even though there were numerous window stickers stating free WiFi.
The only reply I received from Angela Holidays was “ thank you for bringing this matter to our attention”
Hmmm, I’d expect a reliable company to actually inspect their vehicles before allowing passengers to travel in them.
On the upside I can 100% recommend the Hydro Hotel in Llandudno. Excellent food, lovely staff and spotless rooms. I’ll definitely return there, just not with Angela Holidays.

We had a wonderful time

We had a wonderful time, the coach driver Lucas could not have been kinder, happier or more helpful he came round and chatted to everyone in the evening. The hotel was great, friendly helpful staff and the food was superb.

Utmost Care & Consideration For All

This company needs a good Business Medal. As pensioners who have travelled many years with coach companies this has to be well up the top of the list of the best.
I am 84 and always had the Edinburgh Tattoo on my bucket list and here was the chance. A coach trip some 300 miles plus and 3 days plus in a fantastic hotel which just so happened to be the Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries and that is out of this world.
However with just hours to go and knowing that storm Floris heading our way and destined to hit our planned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo we had an insight something might go wrong and it did. Our Angela coach driver received a message from his HQ that the show was cancelled, and that a full refund would entertained. There were quite a few tears on that coach knowing we would have travelled over 600 miles for nothing and some of us were travelling with many ailments as pensioners do. Our wonderful and caring driver was now arranging with his HQ we believed as to how best to help us all. Little did we know until some hours later that HQ at Southampton had called a lot of the staff to come up with ideas. What happened next some hours later was quite remarkable - by lots of the staff at HQ on telephones purchased spare seats around the arena at great expense and had managed to secure enough for the whole coach for THE NEXT DAY! Our hero of a driver guided us all through as to where and how to download the app on our phones and lo and behold the following morning we all had new tickets albeit we were split up but remained joined as couples all seating was of higher grading and must have cost Angela Holidays a small fortune.
Everything for the whole 3 days planned out perfectly including visits to Gretna and to the Eastriggs Porridge Factory. Tears of joy and a wonderful experience given to around 26 people who all became good friends including the driver for whom we were all so grateful for his caring attitud and dedication a true Capt of His Ship and brilliant road user of the highest order .
