Con don’t bother it’s a timeshare.

Con don't fall for it!! So we were about to enjoy our day at the beach in playa del Ingles when we were approached by promotions team, who explained about a new beach which was supposed to be a Bahamas beach imported and all you had to do was give 90 minutes of your time to visit and review, as one of our scratch cards showed all 3 winnings we were guaranteed a free prise of a smart watch, table or mobile phone, but to claim the prize you had to visit our the beach. So we agreed got Into the taxi and off we went. When we arrived a member of staff sat us down and explained it a timeshare resort which we wasn't interested in, as soon as we said that we wasn't interested in that the lady gave us our taxi voucher back to our hotel and there was no free prize. You always know when things are too good to be true but this time l fell for it. Don't do it unless you plan on having a timeshare, absolutely waste of my time.

Anfi Grand Canaria Legal Timeshare Trap...

We was in Our Hotel (Rui Palace Palmeras) We were on our way to town when a woman came along with ruble tickets. She said it wouldn't take long, be quick, maybe you'll win. We had won the Star Prize. Then she told us that a hotel had been renovated and that she was looking for a family who wanted to take a look at it and a guided tour that would last 90 minutes. So we said yes because we were looking forward to the gift and then we took the free taxi to the hotel "Anfi". There we were supposed to write down our names and dates of birth. Then a certain guy called Nico came along and showed us the hotel tour and talked a lot about it. He then told us the advantages like cheap flights and other things, that you could split the weeks and that you could just go there after 5 years, which I thought was particularly cool. Then he told us a price. We talked for a long time and in the end we wanted to buy it. We were all convinced but we wanted to think about it a bit more, which wasn't really possible because you can only book when your there. We said we'd think about it and would come back on Monday because we still had to talk to my brother because we were looking for a nice holiday for his graduation. When we were informed, we found out that it was a complete scam, just a dirty trick with false promises to keep us trapped in a contract that you can't cancel except with the help of the court. Which is why I RECOMMEND EVERYONE OUT THERE TO NEVER SIGN ANYTHING FROM ANFI !!

I would strongly advise against…

I would strongly advise against purchasing at Anfi.

Hidden charges, stealth price hikes, disgraceful customer service and deteriorating resorts.

Today the collections team refuse to allow conversations with management on unfair decisions and charges and are generally ignorant, the conversation has already been ongoing for months.

Anfi basically do what they want and think they cannot be challenged. I wouldn’t recommend this experience.

Not worth the money! Don’t even go there!

My parents pay a fortune to come here for ONE WEEK in December it is clean & the staff & pools are great. BUT the apartments are so poorly maintained, things broken even the TV doesn’t work, it’s like going back to the 1980’s! They pay a hefty maintenance change every year but for what? Total rip off!

Paradise at a good price

We bought a week at ANFI (Gran Canaria) in 2019 after a very pleasant guided tour of the whole resort. We did not get a "hard sell" experience, but were left to decide what we wanted without pressure. We even got the rest of our holiday at the resort for free!
ANFI is a top notch place with amazing views from amazing apartments which are well fitted out with all modern appliances (TVs are due to be upgraded to full smart). The resort is a place to relax and enjoy almost perfect weather. There is a good, although limited selection of eateries and a short taxi/bus ride gets you more choice. A great place to be!!

BE AWARE OF WHAT YOURE GETTING!!!

The place itself is clean with a range of facilities. It is basically a time share where you are told one thing to get you to join, but even though you tell them you're not interested, they still convince you that you can access wonderful sites across the world. As an establishment it's lovely but be very careful about what you agree to because they do not deliver on their promises and when challenged they have the audacity to tell you, its your fault that you misunderstood and then offer you the opportunity to come back at a reduced price . Please make sure of facts before you go there. Yes,you'll get a free hat,a ride.in a taxi and a sunbed on the beach, BUT you'll also spend a lot of money to buy.into the concept.

Non responsive Customer Service

We have been Anfi members for 23 years. We booked our floating week through AVC for November 2023 in Monte Anfi A YEAR IN ADVANCE, arriving to find they had allocated us a 2nd floor room behind the Monte Vista bar, our outlook from the balcony being the kitchen entrance & toilets plus to make matters worse the children's pool immediately to the left of the bar was screened by 6ft fencing and having improvement work done, an eyesore! We immediately complained by visiting Customer Services on site who told us they were fully booked and unable to move us but not offering a solution to our huge disappointment. We have sent 3 emails in the interim period (with supporting photographs) to Customer Services without an acknowledgement or response. Poor service to loyal members & dented our otherwise exceptional experiences.

Beats high end hotels for a fraction of the cost

Despite all the controversy around time shares. For what it is, other places don’t come close when it comes to appearance. The gardens, views and cleanliness is what makes it. As long time stayers, we’ve seen a few changes in mostly positive ways. It’s nice to see money is always being invested. Also the staff are friendly.
One negative the last time we stayed was poor air conditioning which made it difficult to sleep at night. We raised the issue and hope it can be looked into.

We personally don’t have a time share but buy weeks from selling sites as and when which works really well for us. I don’t think you can beat the price for what it is.

Anfi - lethargic and deteriorating.

More than 10 years ago we asked Anfi to sell 1 of our weeks, they finally managed to do so this year and blithely informed us that it would take up to 60 days to forward the payment. We regularly transfer money instantaneously so they need to speed up their processes to reimburse their customers. We are handing our 2nd week back due to the, in our opinion, deterioration of their facilities and entertainment.

DANGER - TIME SHARE & LEGAL TRAP

The company works with travel agents to convince people to come to their hotels for a 'free' trip. It is advertised in many ways, except for the truth.
The people arrive to discover that the trip is actually a hard-sales pitch and are subjected to an onslaught in an attempt to sell them a time-share. Even when they refuse to buy a time-share from the sales person, they then have to have a meeting with the manager and listen to the same thing again before being given a ride home. A free ride home is part of the original deal. Some people come a long way from their hotels so its expensive to simply run away and take yourself back. I didn't buy a time share, but they have a whole wall with photographs of families with young children that SIGNED THE PAPER - losing thousands upon thousands in money instantly, with no legal way to escape. All those poor people, and the children who will miss out on inheritance due to Anfi.
DISGUSTING PEOPLE- SHAMEFUL - MONEY GRABBERS - AVOID. WASTED AN ENTIRE AFTERNOON OF MY HOLIDAY (AT GRAN CANARIA).
