& VNTG is an independent vintage furniture business based in Devon. I source mid-century and vintage pieces from across the UK and Europe - everything from iconic Danish teak to quirky finds that just have something about them. I started this business because I genuinely love furniture that was built to last. The craftsmanship from the 1940s through to the 1990s is something you don't see much anymore, and I believe these pieces deserve to keep going rather than ending up in landfill. Every item is hand-picked. I look for quality, authenticity, and pieces that still have years of life left in them. Some come from house clearances, some from auctions, others from unexpected places. Each one gets assessed in my Devon workshop, where I restore what needs restoring - structural repairs, refinishing when necessary, or sometimes just a good clean. I don't try to make everything look brand new. Some pieces I refinish completely; others I leave with their original patina and the odd knock or scratch because that's part of their story. The goal is always to keep the character while making sure they're solid and usable. I photograph everything honestly and describe condition clearly - worn edges, repairs, small marks - so you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises. Whether you're after a sideboard, chest of drawers, lighting, or something unusual, I ship carefully throughout the UK and I'm always happy to answer questions.
