Coffee shop is dreadful

Coffee shop is dreadful. Food was overpriced and had absolutely no appeal whatsoever. The chefs ( and I use that word loosely) must be about 12 years of age as the preparation was infantile and crap. It was thrown onto the plate. Portions were miniscule and the waiting time for a seat was 35 minutes and then once seated a further 30 minutes to receive a plate of nothingness. Do yourself a favour and go to the J G Ross 5 minute walk away. At least they take some pride in their efforts. Anderson’s cafe is just plain embarrassing.

Coffee shop service beyond slow

Coffee shop service beyond slow. Been here an hour and so far only got 2 soft drinks still waiting on 2 jacket potatoes. Update, they arrived and now i feel an idiot for not jist leaving. Dry potato with at most a dessert spoonful of dry tuna and a tea spoon of coleslaw, half a wafer thin slice of cucumber and a couple of dry wilted salad leaves. Really felt like it had been put together by someone who has no interest in food. Wanted to say something positive as the lady who took the order was lovely, but that is the only thing was wasnt substandard.

Not the service expected

We ordered a (quite expensive) leather, electric recliner chair. It had a 10 to 12 week delivery time - bit long, but willing to wait, to get what we wanted.
However, when finally delivered, it was no where near the colour we had chosen / ordered.
Following a number of telephone calls to the store (with promised follow up return calls not received) Anderson’s accepted responsibility / their mistake and said they would rectify by reordering.
We decided to drive to store, to ensure correct colour was specified in the reorder.
While there, we spotted a chair, same manufacturer, with the colour we wanted - and to save another 10 week wait, we said we’d take it as a replacement . This chair was price tagged £200 less than what we had originally paid. I questioned if we would be given a refund, for the lower price, but was told NO, as the price reflected a “Sale” promotion at the time. This chair was also a “demo” chair, that had been used, by customers, on sale floor, and was therefor in a “used” condition .
But, due to expected delay in getting a chair - I reluctantly / stupidly accepted the situation.
In hindsight , given it were not our fault - I should have asked for a full refund.
Alternatively , any reputable shop would have readily given a discount . Interestingly, the sales person we dealt with, throughout , was a Director, at the store.
So, no more shopping there, for us.

Carpet disaster

First carpet from them had a fault - lamination had failed - got replacement and it’s worse!! Have been speaking to them, had an assessment but it now seems that ignoring me is the best policy!

After service is awful 😞 doesn’t help that they admitted they have ditched this range of carpet now as the complaints were so high 😡

So I have a new build with carpets that are only two years old but they look 20 yrs old.

An exceptional experience today in Anderson’s of Inverurie

I purchased A lovely bean bag and the female who served me made it such an enjoyable experience
I was going to name the lady when I looked @ the receipt but it just comes under bedding unfortunately

Will be back soon thanks again ❤️

Land ahoy! But where have all the crew gone?

Visited Anderson's looking for carpets for stairs, landing + three bedrooms.
Browsed around the carpet selection as I waited for someone to attend to me.
A fellow across the way who was on the phone, sounded like he was making plans for the weekend, glanced at me a couple of times (I do hope I wasn't disturbing him). Got fed up, exited, going past several members of staff on my way out who never even bothered to lift their head to acknowledge my existence. Maybe it was because I didn't arrive in a BMW or a Tesla? I will use the tradesman's entrance next time, except there won't be a next time.
Other carpet retailers are available.

Quality home furnishing from Anderson’s of Inverurie

Anderson’s are an excellent home furnishing company who I have proven to provide friendly, efficient, great service from all staff from the ordering to delivery and after sales service.
Michelle in bedrooms does a 🌟 job!
A nice cafe is available to let you have a coffee/lunch while you make your decision.

Visited the store just before Christmas…

Visited the store just before Christmas and was served by a lovely chap called Frank. He was really patient with us and gave us lots of advice when we were looking for a recliner chair. We decided to go for one of their himolla chairs and it’s just been delivered, pleased to say everything was top notch right down to the delivery team and the staff who booked it in. 5* service and will definitely use them again!

I bought a reclining chair online from…

I bought a reclining chair online from their website.

When it was delivered it was totally unsuitable - wrong size for my body.

Anderson's were brilliant at sorting out the issue - even though really my own fault. They arranged the chair to be picked up and refunded my original purchase costs, though I still had to pay the cost of it being picked up.

I can't fault their service and think the negative reviews are a little unfair. I'd certainly use them again.

Completely ignored by staff

Visited the showroom today. Looking to furnish my new home .
Walked round the entire show room .. was there for 30 - 40 minutes. Passed various assistants who were at their desks , walking around or in groups chatting . I was completely ignored!
Guess they don’t need the business!

Looking to purchase a corner sofa with…

Looking to purchase a corner sofa with chaise and powered seat.

Shop was deserted on a Monday which was fine.
At least 5 staff could be seen.

Wondered around for a while , after 10 min one member of staff did approach but said in there section there was nothing , try the main area.

Wondered around for a further 10 min , at least 3 staff member where having a personal conversation
Not one of them came over to offer any advise.

So walked out.
Budget was about £5K , guess they don't need customers.

Bedroom furniture

We purchased bedroom furniture 4 months ago and some water got spilt on the bedside table. The paint is now all coming off and nothing Anderson’s can do. Really disappointing as it cost almost £3k. I would have expected quality furniture to be able to withstand small spills. They have however advised that because this is not a manufacturing fault nothing can be done.

Poor Follow Up Service

Bought a Calligaris TV Entertainment Unit. This was ordered when the store was in lockdown. The order process was excellent. We were delighted with the Unit and the delivery arrangements.
However some minor things about the Unit were different to what we had been told i.e there was a fixed immovable shelf in central compartment and only one access hole for cables. This made it difficult to house my amplifier.

Frank offered to sent a service guy round to drill holes for these cables. However after 4 unreturned phone calls I emailed Frank and he again promised to sent out his service guy. He has never got back to me and I have had to arrange getting this done myself. I would have expected better.
Tried to order a rug from them. Told them size and make and emailed in a photo but no-one has got back to me. Sent an email to Frank and the sales team and can not believe they do not want the business.

The difference between the first part of the order process which was so good and the subsequent service is a real shame.

Long delivery times

Furniture quality is to a high standard and in-store service is good however delivery times are poor and no updates given, you have to chase them. It has taken two months for the delivery of one one order and 4 months for another, which given the higher price you pay and the fact they are a local business is poor.

Restaurant/Cafe

This is by far the best coffee/in-house restaurant in and around Aberdeenshire. Exceptionally clean and tidy, good food, nicely decorated, attentive and organised staff. They seem to pay attention to even the small details, which is rare indeed these days. Well done and keep up the good work.
