It's unfortunate that I have to write this review, however this company can't treating paying customers this way. I paid for and order in early December 2025, this order shipped and was delivered before Christmas however, it was missing several items including a 5 oil bundle. To this date April 13 2026, I have yet to receive the paid for items. I contacted customer service at least 3 times and they each time assure me my order will ship soon and it has not. The products are great but the shipping and customer service are absolutely awful. Please do not order from this company or else they will just take your money and never send the product.

I had to contact them about my order being shipped out they replied saying sorry I never received my order knowing damn well they never shipped it out. They said they would sent a replacement. I placed my order on Dec 12th its now January 5th . No update no new tracking number for my supposed replacement nothing . I have been ordering from this company for some years now and not had a problem and the products are great. However the last two orders I have placed haven't had a positive experience. The first one was missing lip scrubs. I emailed them and they responded in less than 24 hours with an apology and supposedly was sending my missing items through the fast lane shipping well that was at least three weeks ago. I ordered again two weeks ago two days later I got an email from USPS saying my order was awaiting arrival along with a shipping number ,but that was the last of it. Now here it is Christmas Eve and I haven't received my replacement orders or the new order. Since I haven't received any recent messages or emails I just emailed them today so we'll see how this goes. I have a feeling it will be like some of the others who have had this same experience. Try to support your own and this kinda stuff happens. They really need to better after so many years of them having a company I'd expect so much more from them. I'm sure they know people are buying for Christmas gifts and would want them to arrive in plenty time. This will probably be the end of my ordering from them and will be spreading the word on their customer service as well. Such a shame because as I said the products are great and some of the scents I haven't seen anywhere else ,but part of having a successful business is having quality and prompt customer service this is ridiculous. I'm sure they will be getting shit down soon with all these terrible reviews saying the same things not about the product quality, but not receiving items and poor customer support/service.
Horrible Scamming Company!
If I could leave a zero star review, I most definitely would. I recently made the decision to start supporting black owned businesses as a black woman myself. All of my experiences with recent orders have been amazing, EXCEPT for Ancient Cosmetics. They are arguably the WORST experience I have ever had with a cosmetics company! I placed two orders with this sorry, unprofessional excuse of a company. One on Nov 25th, the other on Nov 30th. I had received my Nov 30th order on Dec 12th. But my Nov 25th order had yet to arrive, nor was I sent another tracking number for an alleged replacement. It has now been nearly a month, and I am still arguing with these people over a refund. I have sen 5 emails to them, starting from Dec 14th to now. They finally responded to me today, and gave me information about my second order??? They KNEW these emails weren’t about my second order!! I wish I had done my research before purchasing from these scammers. I have read several comments from people facing the same issues. People have made claims of them not responding to emails, refusing to refund, etc. These people are playing their cards perfectly. They send out orders worth 50-60$ and under. But once you order $65+ worth of products, they will not send out your order. Please stray away from this company at all costs, I promise there are better companies with better products! Probably costs more, but it’s better than supporting ignorance!

Love the products but lord have mercy what is with the shipping time?? I started purchasing from them in 2020 and I understood why it took so long but it’s 2025!! Almost 2026 and it still takes a FULL week for it to even ship?? Come on now…this is the entire reason I stopped purchasing. And then $75 for free shipping and it still takes forever??! Love the butters but I can go back to making my own, shipping has got to get better!

Never shipped item, didn’t respond to email, had to dispute claim, then they responded by saying it was delivered. They provided Google maps screenshot of my address location with the fake tracking number as evidence.

As of September 10, 2025, I am writing this review regarding the business practices of Ancient Cosmeticz, LLC. I have been a customer since the company first opened. This review does not concern the quality or formulation of their products, but rather the legality of their operations.
Ancient Cosmeticz is subject to investigation and potential reporting to the Better Business Bureau and other regulatory authorities for violations of federal and state law, including business fraud, deceptive trade practices, and failure to deliver goods as promised.
Under the Federal Trade Commission Act, 15 U.S.C. § 45(a), it is unlawful for a business to engage in “unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce.” Likewise, the Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 435, requires sellers to ship merchandise within the advertised timeframe (or within 30 days if no timeframe is specified). If a business cannot deliver within this period, it must notify the consumer and provide the option of a prompt refund. Failure to do so constitutes a violation of federal law.
Additionally, under 18 U.S.C. § 1343 (Wire Fraud) and 18 U.S.C. § 1341 (Mail Fraud), knowingly obtaining money through false or fraudulent pretenses by means of electronic communication or mail constitutes a federal offense. Customers, including myself, have paid for products that were never received, while the business retained the funds without resolution.
State consumer protection laws also apply. For example, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A (Consumer Protection Act) prohibits unfair and deceptive acts in trade or commerce and provides remedies for consumers harmed by such conduct.
There are currently multiple complaints and legal claims pending against Ancient Cosmeticz for failure to fulfill paid customer orders, including my own. As of the date of this review, the company has failed to respond to these matters.
I strongly advise potential customers to proceed with caution when ordering from Ancient Cosmeticz, LLC and to be aware of their rights under both federal and state consumer protection statutes.
Although I enjoyed my products
Although I enjoyed my products, I don’t enjoy the fact that im still waiting for an order to ship that was placed weeks ago. I’ve reached out multiple times to no avail and honestly this will be the reason I will never order from them again. Buyers beware! They don’t respond to emails or calls and this is really bad business. I wish I read the reviews before I decided to purchase anything. Multiple people have said they didn’t receive their orders after waiting for months. You didn’t wait months to take the money did you? Do the right thing send my order or refund my money!!!

Buyer beware. They sent my order to someone else. I haven’t received my yet. It has been almost a month now. I knew that it sent to someone else because the person who received my products texted me and asked if I received her/his items. So that she/he will send me my item but I didn’t receive any of their products and I don’t know if that person who texted me will really send the my item to me. So I emailed to their customer service…. Silence… so don’t waste your time and money on this company.
