Do not buy anything from this company. Extremely poor quality and then they make it impossible to return the items. Companies like this should not be allowed to trade. Even 1 star is too much. Boycott them.

Ancien parcels come from 4PX Express UK Co Limited in Southall so like so many I cannot see why the parcels have to be sent back to China.

I received a polyester piece material that was meant to be a cashmere jumper which was meant to be a Christmas present. I am still waiting for the full refund which they obviously have no intention of giving me. The have offered something but it involves sending the piece of polyester I have to China! This says it all. Don't waste your money. They are totally disingenuous.

I wouldn't even give this 1 star! Ordered in December and checked Trust pilot after I bought it. Read the horrific reviews about the company and tried to get a refund/cancelled my order straight away. I received no response. I emailed 5 times to different email addresses and no response.
3 weeks after buying the coat a coat arrived but it was not the lovely coat that is advertised on their website but a VERY cheap, poor quality, poor sized coat. Please please please do NOT buy from this company!!! There is NO returns slip. It says you need to contact them to get a return slip.
6 weeks after I received the coat they responded to me to say that posting it back would be more than the coat itself, which was £49.95! The address on their website is a residential estate in the Netherlands. They requested photos of why I want to return it and they said they would get back to me if I qualify to return it!!! They are a scam company! They are hoping I give up and just keep the coat and they get to keep my money. I now see the same coat for sale on other websites which all have Netherlands addresses. Probably all the same scam! I am still waiting to see if I qualify for a return!

I am having the most terrible customer experience with this company, they seem to be doing everything they can to avoid refunding my purchase and proividing a free returns label.

I did write about my terriblke experience previously on Trustpilot and thanks to Trustpilot, the company did contact me after numberous attempts by me, but they have asked me to take photos of the problems I am having with the goods, swhichg is impossible has my complaint and request for a refund was becsuee of the laste delivery and the unsatisfactory fit.

I responded to their email on 30 January 2025, stating that they were just using delaying tactics and trying to avoid sending me a returns label and m,y full refund.

The goods are unused, in the original packaging and Ancien were advised immediately of my dissatisfaction and request for my refund.

This company's customer service is appauling and I would advise anyone considering purchasing from this company to avoid them at all costs.

I am at a loss to know how I can get my legimate claim resolved. I do hope Trustpilot can help, because at the moment as a consumer I feel completely powerless.

Really poor communication and customer service. A jacket I ordered in very early December arrived way after Christmas and tracking was very unreliable. The jacket itself, while good enough quality, was enormous - far larger than the measurements on website suggested. I am now 6 emails and 1 month into trying to establish whether I can exchange the item for smaller size or request refund, I’ve had 1 generic response from Ancien Clothing which requested pictures of the item but didn’t answer any of the questions I actually asked in my initial 4 emails. Wouldn’t recommend ordering anything from this company. Wish me well in my quest for an actual response… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wish I’d checked Trustpilot before purchasing. The trading ethics of this company worry as much as the quality of products. Very distressing experience both with the company and the package tracking that appears to require a longstanding subscription.

Robbery. No intention of refunds, sent extremely low quality item. SCAM - DO NOT USE

Please don’t buy from this awful company. I ordered some boots knowing there was a 14 day guaranteed return policy. The boots took 3 weeks to arrive and were too big. I have been emailing them now for a further 3.5 weeks to arrange my return and no one is responding. I know they’re now going to say it’s outside of the return window. Terrible service and the boots are rubbish too.

If you have also been misled by Ancien Clo, I urge you to take action so the website can be investigated and potentially shut down:

✅ Report them to Action Fraud for fraud by misrepresentation (Fraud Act 2006): Google Action Fraud Police UK

The more people report them, the higher the chance authorities will investigate and take action! Don’t let them continue deceiving more customers

If I could give them a minus I would.
Ordered a wool coat at the beginning of December for a Christmas present thinking I had plenty of time as it appeared to be a UK based company.
Despite emailing them I didn’t receive the coat until January (it left China on 23/12).
When it arrived it was shocking quality , cheap & nasty.
I have tried to arrange a refund but all my emails are ignored.
I am now out of pocket for 2 coats as I had to purchase a replacement.

Ordered 2 cashmere jumpers. Surprised when they shipped from China (not Holland where the shop purports to be). When they arrived, the jumpers were 95% cotton and 5% spandex - not a shred of cashmere in them. I'm allergic to spandex, so cannot wear them. I requested a label to return them - nothing heard. Ancienclothing.com looks like a professional outfit but is a scam website - do not be taken in.

First order was fine. So ordered again. Two sweaters. They arrived - from China - one was the wrong size and the other was cotton - it was sold as cashmere. No response to emails and no apparent way to return them. AVOID.

One star is too kind, I have not received my order and have not had any response to my emails. There is no way of getting a refund as they won’t answer my emails. Absolutely gutted as the website looks so good

It is a scam! I ordered leather slippers which were supposedly on sale for £39. Website looked really good, I wish I had read these reviews first! The slippers are shoddy! I tried to return them to no avail. All emails were ignored! A rip off

Do NOT on any account order with this company. They may look legit on their website, but are a sham. If your order finally does ever arrive (from China not the Netherlands), it will be shocking quality, the sizes are completely wrong and when you want to return it you will receive no response leaving you stuck with an unwanted item. Avoid Ancien Clothing at all costs. Beware there is another company purporting to be Netherlands based (Maroxe) that looks very similar and the reviews are equally negative on them too. Give them both a wide berth and buy British :)

Don't buy from this company.
Ordered shoes, took a very long time to arrive. Having been pictured as a sturdy Birkenstock type of shoe, they were poor quality, very thin leather - if it is leather. Stitching detail was just moulded as part of cheap plasticky sole. No insole shape, just flat. Horrid.
Returning is difficult & expensive. I have now given up trying & hopefully have learnt a lesson. If it looks too good to be true, in this case it definitely was!

REPORT TO TRADING STANDARDS !!!! SCAM !!!!!!!!

Ordered cashmere jumpers took many weeks to arrive when they did clearly labelled 100% polyester. Numerous emails to try to get a returns label as per their return policy eventually 8 emails later a reply to send items to china . COMPLETE SCAM
