I went to AMS with a puncture in a rear…
I went to AMS with a puncture in a rear tyre, after keeping me 15 mins, they called me in to say I needed 2 back tyres as they had perished and cracked, I’d only owned the car for 2 weeks, and before purchasing I’d checked the car myself, I told them I’d and said I would take the car back to the main dealer I had purchased it from as they had sold me a car with unsafe tyres, however in the meantime could they just fix the puncture. They advised against it but agreed, 5 mins later they then inform me they can’t repair the tyre as it already had a puncture and needed to replace the tyre, I agreed to this it was in work time and I needed to get back to work. Since this I’ve taken the car back to the place of purchase who have inspected all tyres and said there is nothing wrong with any of them, no cracks or perishing. I’m now wondering if I really needed a new tyre? Or could the puncture have been fixed? Was this just a way of getting more money out of me. It’s not the first time AMS have tried to sell me something that isn’t needed, and in future I’ll be taking my business elsewhere
