Careful with this company

Careful with this company. It looks cheaper than its competitors at first, but there are a bunch of hidden fees that are not included in the initial quote (e.g. city tax, cleaning fees), which increased the price more than 25% in our case. I believe these practices are rather dishonest and therefore do not recommend this agency at all. All other agencies I’ve used include these fees within the final price at the time of booking.

On top of that, they allegedly did not provide our contact details to the accommodation, so they couldn’t contact us with regard to above fees, which delayed the check-in by hours while we were waiting at the gate.

High fees and risky

I just booked but we did a mistake in the dates. In the confirmation we see no cancellation conditions, so we just cancelled expecting that same day cancellation would end in a refund, but now the cancellation fees are 500$. We called to at least reactivate the booking, but answer is they are not direct providers, so no refund and no reservation now. They work with booking so i encourage you to contact Booking.com or directly the hotel. The hotel manager told me booking has already 50$ fee, and amimir tops it with another 50$. Everything is a bit of a scam. Update: changed to 3 stars after they refund the money, support was very quick but still the process feels treacherous the way they hide the cancellation fee

You booked a non-refundable rate, and we still managed to refund 100% of your reservation.

As you know, the rate you chose is cheaper but does not allow changes or cancellations. You could see this information in the purchase process (before booking) and also in your confirmation voucher, in the “Cancellation Conditions” section, where it literally stated the following: This rate is non-refundable, that is, in case of cancellation or modification of the reservation, 100% of expenses (525 €) will be applied. Even so, we made every effort to help you and we managed to refund the amount paid.

We have many ways of working with accommodations: sometimes directly, sometimes with intermediaries, as this is the way we can offer you the more than 600.000 accommodations that you have in our portal. The information that the accommodation has given you about the commission is not correct: if there were really as much commission as they say, we would hardly be able to offer you such competitive prices as we do ;-)

As you have been able to see, whether we work with intermediaries or not, we are decisive and we give quick answers and solutions.

I came across Amimir by chance when I…

I came across Amimir by chance when I was looking for cheaper hotels. At first, I didn’t believe it. I read the reviews on Trustpilot and decided to give it a try. I paid 10 euros and then called the hotel to confirm they had a booking in my name, which they did. I was nervous about paying the full amount since it was over 3200 euros, but I gave it a try and called the hotel back to confirm they had received the full payment, which they had once again. I will definitely book more accommodations with Amimir, thank you!

Silently downgraded with just 3% discount

I booked a room called "deluxe room with ocean view" via Amimir and when I checked-in at the hotel they said what I had booked was a "deluxe room with garden view" room. This is very unfortunate as I rarely go to the beach and was really looking forward to enjoying a balcony with an ocean view. I would not have booked a room with garden view if I had known this.

When I talked to Amimir, I appreciate they were very quick to respond and acknowledge the problem with their supplier. However, unfortunately, they weren't able to get the room upgraded into the right category and instead decided to reimburse me about 3% of the total price, which doesn't feel like an appropriate compensation (10 euros out of 340 euros per night). The price difference to a room with ocean view was about 15% directly at the hotel. I tried reaching out to Amimir about this but they said that's the most they can do, which is dissapointing.

While I was a loyal customer of Amimir only with positive experiences, this was a very frustrating downgrade during a much looked-forward vacation.

employees don't answer. the money was not returned!

My child and I booked the Aletris Hotel in Turkey through Amimir from 30.09 to 07.10. transferred all the money and received a check-in voucher from Amimir. after which, 4 days before departure, we received a message from Amimir that we were denied check-in because there were no rooms in the hotel! but this was the hotel we needed. A large group of our friends will live there and we planned to celebrate our daughter’s birthday together. I informed Amimir’s staff about this. employees don't answer. the money was not returned!

As we informed you yesterday, the refund has already been processed. If you paid by debit card, you should already be able to see the refund in your account. However, if you paid by credit card, this transaction may not be instant.

I never write reviews but this time I decided that I have to say thanks for the best customer Service ever. Any time I call them ( and this was a few times) even 2:30am they responded and allays very helpful. Holiday price was much better than any other agency and at first we were suspicious , but whatever they said it was correct. Thank you aminir.com

I booked with Amimir for a 10 day…

I booked with Amimir for a 10 day holiday in Mexico. When I arrived at my hotel, there was a putrid stench coming from the immediate surroundings, also close to the water, which even the hotel acknowledged and apologized for but said they couldn't remedy. The hotel itself said they'd be happy to refund me and allow me to find another hotel as I have 5 children with me on this trip and the young ones couldn't eat for the smell... Amimir said they categorically wouldn't confirm a refund until I checked out! Despite the hotel acknowledging the situation and suggesting I do indeed find alternate accommodation. This shows me not to book through a "trusted" broker company as when there's an issue they immediately wipe their hands from the situation. I got more help from the hotel, I am only sorry I didn't book directly with them!! Never using Amimir again and I suggest anyone (especially with big families) steer clear, my holiday is ruined because of this neglect on their behalf.

Dani, we are deeply sorry that you are not satisfied with the management of your booking. Since the moment you reached us, we have tried to help you and do as much as possible to help you with your booking.

You told us your discomfort with the accomodation's smell due to an algae called "sargaso" that grows near the accomodation. After that, we tried to contact you by telephone but we could not reach you due to connection issues. Nevertheless, we started working on your case and we contacted out Tour Operator, who manages and sets the conditions of cancellation or amendment of our bookings as we do not work direcly with the accomodation.

After that, we informed you that the usual procedure in case of early departure, is to proceed to invoice the stay in full and asses the situation of the booking with our Tour Operator so that we can manage a reimbursement of the services not enjoyed. To do so, it is necessary that the guest does the check out in the accomodation
On the same day, after speaking with our Tour Operator and the accomodation, we informed you that had to leave the accomodation on the 21st of August, between 10 AM and 12 PM so that the accomodation would not charge you an extra night.
We did not receive an answer from you until the 23rd of August when you stated that you were not in agreement with the procedure. Unfortunately, the only way to request a refund of the unused nights is when we receive a confirmation that indicates the guest has done the check out and since the procedure was not complete it was not possible to request a refund.

Dani, since the very beggining you contacted us, we have tried to help you with every request you made on your booking. Unfortunately, as you did not follow the procedure of early departure we could not help you to finalize it.

We are sorry that our management did not reach your expectations, our aim is always help and asses all our customers.

Money laundering business strategy.

After fighting for one month writing this review for 0 star for amimir.com. I wish atleast one person will change his mind before booking with amimir.com.
I had booked with amirmr.com as "double bed with shared bathroom". I have stayed in this type of rooms earlier so I was okay considering Its not shared with anyone. I paid 125 euros for 2 days. Then I found out at property that they don't have rooms like ammimir.com have mentioned. Also hostel told me they don't have my booking. I left property and called amimir.com their support team was forcing me to take bunk beds in shared room as I won't get a refund. To which I was not comfortable . That's how I lost my money. Also had to find another accommodation at the last minute.
NOW I read lot of reviews for amirmir.com and understood they always provide misleading information on their site and doing money laundering. I know with this strategy they will go nowhere in few years.

Edit :
Amimir.com closed my case with following remarks :

"After many attempts and exposing the case to our provider(Expedia) and them to the hotel, they stated "the guest did not stay at the property, the reservation is non-refundable, so there will be no refund"

When I was fighting to get my money back they blamed me for not staying in the Hotel and now they cant help me with Refund.Also the Hostel doesnt support them. I still dont understand why they are not guilty for wrong information on their website.
For example :
Metropol Hostel Berlin at Mehringdamm 32 , Berlin
Has room described with no photos as follows :
** Bed in room 1 Twin Bunk Bed shared bathroom 2 single beds
if you book this then you will get a bed in shared room with 12 people.
On other platforms like booking.com , Agoda , Hotels.com etc, the room descriptions is mentioned perfectly.
I experienced similar issue with Agoda they were kind enough to partial refund me.
I will encourage to everyone to use renowned websites for bookings..

This accommodation may have rooms with a shared bathroom and rooms with a private bathroom, and it is possible that the times you stayed there previously, you stayed in a room with a private bathroom. Remember that both before and after making the reservation, you can contact us so that we can give you all the details. We have 24-hour customer service, and we will be happy to help you resolve any questions you may have.

On the other hand, regarding what you tell us about your reservation, we would like to tell you that in Amimir.com we work on each reservation very exhaustively: we have a system of double-checking reservations with the supplier, so that they are always confirmed. Yes, it may be that they did not receive the name of the owner correctly, for example, and for this reason they did not identify the reservation, but with the voucher information they have all the details (our reservation ID, reservation details...) to be able to solve it. Good Travel Agent

I live in Turkey. While I was looking for a hotel in Paris for my holiday, I saw that the best price for the hotel I wanted to stay in was on Amimir.com. First, I want to admit that I am worried about whether it is true or reliable. When I did some research, I saw that they were based in Spain and the reviews were positive, so I decided to make a reservation. When the hotel price was updated while making a reservation, my reservation was not confirmed even though they took the payment. I was immediately contacted and an email was sent stating that my payment would be refunded. Afterwards, the payment was refunded to my credit card without any problems. Once again, the hotel dropped to the price I planned to book, this time I called and completed my reservation. The lady who called spoke clear English and therefore our communication was very easy. He was also very kind. From now on, when I make a hotel reservation abroad, I definitely include Amimir.com in the list of sites to follow.
