Our organization has had ongoing issues with the platform not working properly and being excessively difficult for parents and families to use. When we reached out for support, we were quoted what felt like unreasonable, nearly extortionate additional customer service fees on top of the service fees we were already paying.
As the incoming Executive Director of a small charitable organization, I inherited this contract and received no proactive renewal notice, reminder email, or phone call before their renewal deadline, which we discovered requires 60 days written notice to not renew by letter mail or courier. We are now being told that we are locked into another year with software that has been buggy, difficult for users, and poorly supported, but have been "kindly" offered an exit from our contract for $600.
For charities, non-profits, and small organizations, I would strongly caution against signing with Amilia unless you are very clear on the renewal terms, support costs, and cancellation deadlines. In our experience, there are better and more user-friendly options available. Simply put, we have never felt in our interactions that Amilia has treated us as valued customers. Just an income source. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Amilia has excellent customer service. The chat box provides relevant articles for common questions. A representative is available within a reasonable timeline for more in depth or account specific questions. Our assigned representative is very responsive to requests that need to be escalated to a development or IT team. Amilia always follow-ups after any inquiry to be sure we are satisfied with the results.
Staff are smart and responsive. We worked with them to transition in a new registration software. The system is easy to navigate and convenient. It is a complex process and many points of contact were involved. The price is good as well. The product is not a 100% solution so it does require some workarounds and manipulations. Overall, it's a solid product and Amilia has been great to work with.

They are very customer focused and have an extremely attentive staff. Any software/data migration is difficult and this was no different, but it was largely due to the fact we were moving from a software (RecTrac) that gave us such poor data it was basically putting a jigsaw puzzle together. The software fits our needs on the rec side well, and our community members have commented how much smoother registration is now. To be completely honest, there are some issues when it comes to the membership side of the software and how it is working with our fitness center, but to SmartRec's credit they are listening and changing the software based on our feedback, which we never had before with RecTrac. They are willing to listen and improve their features based on what their clients' feedback.

Amilia's Implementation Team did an excellent job engaging with us and spending time to understand our workflows. They went the extra mile to schedule time with us and talk about how our processes translate into different modules within the system.
We specifically implemented Amilia's SmartRec product for its recreation management capabilities. They are a little newer to the space than some of the big names. With that, there were a couple niche things that aren't quite built out in their system yet, but they are also evolving and making changes quickly.

Our organization is in its second year using Amilia SmartRec, and our experience has been very positive. The platform is easy for our customers to use, especially compared to our past registration platforms, which has resulted in a higher conversion rate and more self-serve registrations. We run a high volume of activities at all points throughout the year, and we find activity building in Amilia fast and straightforward. Several Amilia features have been very useful for us, like the ability to mass edit activities and set up automated waitlists. Amilia staff has been very receptive to feedback about the platform and meets with our staff members regularly to discuss potential improvements.

We converted from a highly customized system with no support to Amilia to manage our camp registration process. All parts of the account team were amazing. They were there to help us set up the system and what's even better is all the online knowledge base and Amilia University to get you started...as an old IT person Amilia is highly developed and A LOT has gone into it. Now that we're a season into it's use, we are now converting all our programming over and utilizing contracts as well as activities. While there are some areas of improvement, there are feasible workarounds. We provide environmental education to schools and groups as well as serving 100 campers each week in the summer. We are also using the merchandise feature to sell tickets to special events. This system is amazing and works well for us!!!

Amilia was recommended/the default for the franchise I am with, so I signed up with them.
Firstly, creating programs (summer camps, class schedules etc) is quite complex. The product does have a lot of features, but it seems that Amilia never decided what problem they tried to solve so they included everything but the kitchen sink, making the product overly complex.
They have a great feature though, that is the integration with a payment processor. The problem is that this seems to be the only processor they use and that this payment processor has a VERY thorough audit process. Right after signing up, you have to answer 100-200 questions about your data storage, handling, processing, disposal, etc. They actually ask more questions that are on audit for large health insurance companies - I know, that used to be my job. They then require a penetration test on your systems - I have none, as I started a small education company and all payments are (were) done through Amilia. Pointing the pen-test at Amilia's servers will make you fail the audit.
All camps are listed in large block, so your customers have to scroll down all options, making it impossible to have a good overview of the camps. You can (have to) create groups, that are a counter-intuitive for customers to navigate. It doesn't help that the page where this is all presented on is not very appealing.
Paying for the camps is confusing too - After registering for the camp it was completely unclear for my customers to figure out how and where to pay. I had to provide additional manual support to get their payments. This should not be necessary - just about every webstore has figure this out.
Then payments from and to me didn't work either. They took my initial payment using ACH and used the same bank information for the follow up payments, which all looks good. It didn't work however. I never received the payment for the classes that were registered through their system, even though it shows as paid-out in their system and the automatic payments/fees didn't come through either. This was not an issue on my end - I verified with my bank.
Even though they owe me more than I owe them, they froze my account, in the busiest season, while processing their payment - which worked this time, probably because they fixed that side. I'm still unable to access my data and no-one is available as it is a holiday weekend in the USA (not CAN).

This plataform is not friendly for customers. The clients could not get connect to the site. The payments do not work. Very difficult to do attendence. The teachers could not access the information of students.
We just sign because they promesse we could test it.
They make you sign a contract for a year before you have a trial of the plataform. After you sign, you are trapped. Thy will charged you. So be aware before makea deal with this company.
Site does not work. Impossible for members to register for anything. Amilia only wants to download cookies, sell you merchandise, and is about the worst website I have ever used.
