I bought domain names from Amen a few years ago. The price for the first year was competitive, but the renewals were very expensive. I had to switch to a basic domain. Then, my website stopped being secure, and to have a secure site with an SSL certificate (https), I had to upgrade to a domain package, which was again much more expensive than the competition. That would have been fine if the customer service was up to par. While a few years ago the phone service was quick and excellent, now it is charged by the minute, and more importantly, you have to wait a long time, and often they ask you to call back because the service is overloaded. In short, I no longer recommend Amen.

To clarify, when downgrading to a basic domain, it only includes the domain registration itself, with no additional features such as web hosting or SSL certificates. If you'd like to secure your website with HTTPS, an upgrade to a domain package with an SSL certificate is required, which does come with additional costs, depending on the plan.
Regarding our phone service, we aim to provide the best support possible. Calls made within France are billed at a standard rate, and while we strive to reduce wait times, we understand your frustration and are continuously working on improving our service availability.
