Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 478 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express significant dissatisfaction with the service, particularly regarding the constant and lengthy advertisements that interrupt content, even for paying subscribers. People feel that the value of their subscription has diminished, as much of the desirable content now requires additional payment or a separate subscription to other services. The overall sentiment is that the service has become too expensive for what it offers, especially with the added cost to remove ads, leading many to consider canceling their subscriptions. Some people also felt that the quality and selection of available content have declined, with many finding little they want to watch or encountering issues with series being cut short. Conversely, a small portion of people mentioned that the service used to be a beneficial addition to their Amazon membership and that some content is still good when it plays without interruption.

Ads every 10 seconds on a service I pay…

Ads every 10 seconds on a service I pay for is completely unacceptable, I actively mute them and look at my phone.

Should I catch a glimpse of what they offer I make a point not to buy it on general principle.

Changing to D+ until this gets resolved.

DON'T BUY FILMS OFF THESE COWBOYS!!

They are quite happy to let you purchase films or series at expensive cost. However, the don't tell you that when their rental licence runs out your purchase disappears!!!
So, you pay to purchase and have no control over when you lose your purchase. Probably hidden in the contract somewhere!!
So , back to dvd' s for me! Stuff technology and the thieving mis sellers.
I will have a tangible asset .

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would, i was charged my usual £33.99 monthly subscription in March then refunded straight away and my subscription cancelled, I can't watch Premier league sports anymore because amazon marketplace and video is so un user friendly its ridiculous and you go round and round in circles smashing your head off a brick wall and still get nowhere, im considering cancelling all my subscriptions and leaving amazon all together, useless company is an understatement

Prime Scam: Ads Everywhere Unless You Pay Extra Ultra Greed

Absolute scam. I pay for Amazon Prime every year, expecting the ‘included’ Prime Video to be premium. Instead, it’s infested with obnoxious ads that interrupt shows and movies mid-scene like a cheap cable channel from 2005.
You shell out for Prime, then they hit you with more ads unless you cough up extra for ‘Prime Video Ultra’ at nearly $5/month on top. That’s on top of your Prime fee!
Greedy cash grab that ruins the experience. Content is decent when it actually plays uninterrupted, but the constant nickel-and-diming for ad-free viewing is insulting. Downgrading my subscription and looking elsewhere.
Do better, Amazon — or watch your users bail.

Amazon Video Ultra has absolutely no content

They have absolutely no content. I am not going to waste time watching ads. I would pay the Ultra fee IF there was anything worth watching. Instead of a new series like "Wheel of Time" they blew $75 Million on the totally worthless "Melania" in an obvious bid for political patronage. So I stopped paying the extra fees and removed the App from my Sony Bravia TV monitor.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service. Get payment first and after watching 3 episode it's stopped. You can't be compared with Netflix. It's a shame you charged money for this service. Not recommended

Corporate greed dialed up to 11

Haven't used Amazon Prime for a bit. Imagine my surprise when I tried rewatching season one of Fallout, only to find the platform has gone from having the odd advert here and there to being flooded with the things. Two mins of ads at the start (minimum). Ads every 15 minutes, often for the same c**p you saw an advert for at the start of the show. Pause it, enjoy some ads. Rewind, more ads. Look at it the wrong way, ads and some more ads. Gave up after one and a bit episodes. There's nothing more boring and uncool than corporate greed. And nothing more effective at getting me to cancel my subscription and find "other means" of viewing. And no, I won't ever pay to go ad free. I'm not paying Amazon extra for a problem they created. Amazon Prime used to get on just fine without ads so bringing them in now is about one thing: money. And Bezos has more than enough of that already. And all this rubbish about using the ad revenue to invest in programming is patently false - just take a look at the dreadful selection of shows and movies. There's the odd gem here and there, but these float adrift on a veritable ocean of third-world swill and truly hideous B-movie slop. TL;DR: avoid Amazon Prime Video like the plague. It's a rip off.

Greedy fat cats

It's so annoying that I'm already paying to subscribe to Amazon, and now they are putting adverts in the middle of everything, it's just greed trying to up your money payments, watching a film just under 2 hours long and I'm on my 4 advert break of over 3 minutes long 🤬, hope the lose a lot of customers for their greed

Worst streaming service out there

Worst streaming service out there, constant long ads that are way worse then any others, the lay out is very bad, more connection issues then most and Jeff is delusional if he actually thinks it’s a good streaming (it’s the worst Jeff ;) ). I like watching shows like invincible and the boys but this service is so bad that I don’t even want to watch them. Oh right in the middle of the show i get 1m30s of adds for air freshener can’t stand it glad to see it’s rated at one star here it deserves it :D

This service has become an issue

This service has become an issue. Non stop buffering and loading. Not only at my house but at my friends house so it’s not the internet it’s prime. Once you upgrade though it will stop glitching. This is a ploy to make you spend more money.
