Enjoyed a fantastic hike around Mt Blanc. Our guide was a local so knew the area extremely well.The accommodation was varied, from hotels to refuges,and I found the night at the refuge an absolute highlight.
The hiking can be challenging...a great experience and I'm keen to do another.

Lexie and I had a wonderful experience on our trek. Not sure how you managed to bring us sunshine daily but it was much appreciated. Richard was the perfect guide. Suggestions:

1. more historical information on the area
2. more instruction on how to hike downhill vs uphill, poles, pacing, rhythm etc. (we learned some of that but it was more toward the end of the trip).
3. we did not know until we asked at our pensions that we had alternative food choices

I signed up with Alpine Treks for the Haute Route (Chamonix to Zermatt) trek with a friend and we really lucked out. We had a compatible group of five with a very knowledgeable, competent, French and German speaking guide (Robert Farwell). He was especially helpful to me when the soles came off my boots after two days (in spite of pre trek repairs) and I had to buy some new ones in Champex.

We had a week of glorious weather and only 2 rainy days in 12. The views were spectacular. There were no logistical problems at any of the hotels or mountain huts.

It's a strenuous and occasionally challenging hike and fortunately everyone was up to it, as it would make a big difference to the experience if there were different levels of hiking ability in the group.

Definitely recommended.

Just got back from my 4th trip with Alpine Treks and yet again it was well organised and we had a fab time. This was my first summer trip and me and my partner had a go at proper mountaineering which culminated with us climbing gran paradiso. The trip was well organised, our guide (Neil McNab) was well qualified, very experienced as well as encouraging and good company. We enjoyed our training and acclimatisation which took us to fabulous locations across 3 countries. The hotel base in Chamonix (Gustavia) was clean, quiet and comfortable with an excellent breakfast.

I can also highly recommend the winter trips particularly snowshoeing which remains one of my favourite winter activities.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a very memorable hike of the Swiss Alps guided by Alpine Treks. We experiences a challenging, yet relaxing hike, with top notch accommodations, food and a knowledgeable and friendly guide (Thank you Robert). We were paired with other hikers with similar skills and backgrounds. The group chemistry was way more than we hoped for and we believe most of it was due to great planning and organization by Alpine Treks. It is a tribute to the guide (and Apline Treks) when you can totally enjoy the views, company and accommodations without a single worry. Great Job - we highly recommend using their service.

Flawless planning and organisation by Alpine Treks: we stayed in 12 different hotels/dortoirs/huts on this tough 14 day walking holiday with no problems. Our small group of 5 was led by guide Robert Farwell who is competent, knowledgeable, and good company. Thanks to Alpine Treks for a memorable experience.

Really enjoyed these day hikes around Mont Blanc. Mark was a very congenial and experienced guide and chose the hikes well according to the weather conditions each morning.
Our group of eight was a perfect size and got on well together. Decisions were democratically made. Altogether a fun trip.

My son and I had a great experience hiking the Mont Blanc with Alpine Treks company. Everything was very well organized. All hiking trails were interesting and challenging. The guides were knowledgeable and very helpful. We will definitely return in a couple of years to hike Dolomites with Alpine Treks!
