Their "Experts" are just plucked from LinkedIn - I was almost one of them

In good conscience, based on my experiences at being contacted by them for work, I could not recommend their services.

I have been contacted several times now and asked if I could consult with a client of theirs on short notice, based only on my linkedin profile. No real vetting of my knowledge. They have also changed what they were asking for when I've initially told them I don't have that experience.

The "experts" they use are often just people with some industry experiences off of LinkedIn who are either desperate for money or morally okay with misrepresenting themselves and their knowledge. Companies using them could do better by simply trawling LinkedIn and messaging people themselves.

Repeated Unsolicited Contact and Failure to Honor Opt-Out Requests

AlphaSights has repeatedly engaged in unsolicited outreach to my company with requests that are completely unrelated to our business.
Despite having no prior relationship, they continue to send communications that are not only irrelevant but also fail to meet basic compliance standards for commercial email practices. Their messages do not provide a clear or functional unsubscribe mechanism, which raises serious concerns regarding compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.) and other applicable consumer protection and electronic communications laws.
More concerning, I have explicitly requested that all communications cease. That request has been ignored. Continued outreach after a direct cease request demonstrates a disregard for professional boundaries and regulatory compliance.
From a cybersecurity standpoint, their approach is also problematic. Sending unsolicited emails with links and attachments from unknown sources is exactly how many organizations are compromised. Any reputable company should understand and respect that.
This pattern of behavior reflects poorly on their organization and raises legitimate concerns about their operational practices, compliance awareness, and respect for businesses they contact.
I would strongly caution others against engaging with AlphaSights based on this experience
