Took ages for the door to be fitted from the initial consultation Didn't put any covering down to protect the floor so when they were knocking out the bricks the rubble went straight onto the new vinyl. Also ripped a small hole. Left gaps at the bottom of the doorframe which we've had to
fill ourselves.Would not use this company again.

Decent windows fitted well.
I don’t think our patio door catch or trickle vents are the best.
Was quite a bit of mess to clear up after and you must have payment available as soon as they’ve finished otherwise a right nasty person is put on.
Having said all that negativity AWR have taken it on board and will try to correct.
I am a landlord and would certainly consider using them again. They do consider they give me good value for money.

Good service from start to finish. The sales consultant was transported straight from the 70s/80s with his approach and the call To the boss to get the best price was just about as much humour as I could handle in one day - it was very ‘Alan Partridge’ - needless to say, the price was eventually in line with what I had expected and I signed on the dotted line. I had fascia’s, soffits and gutters done - all looks good and should
Last a long time.

Rain today and it came through the new roof! Poor seal.

The team that came to fit the new garage door were very professional and did an excellent job in my opinion. The door looks great.

From start to finish has been really good. From the sales person knocking on the door, to coming round and going through the options, person on the phone, the surveyor who came round to check what we wanted was possible to the windows and doors been put in has all been fab. In previous years when started looking into having our doors and windows done, not had a good experience and we put it off for a good few years, if anyone has had that experience I would recommend this company

0/10-awful , incapable of being professional and managing complaints. DO NOT USE THIS company

The first man from AWR, David Wilson, I think, was clear polite and instilled confidence. We agreed to have work done on the roof and gave a deposit of over £400. We expected to get a date for the work to be done. After 2 weeks we had no date and we wanted to confirm some details of the work to be done. I tried to ring the rather grumpy incommunicative surveyor who had inspected the property. After several failed attempts I e-mailed the company. A total of 7 communications went unanswered. We began to wonder if we had been scammed by a bogus company. After a month or so we were told that we could not cancel the order and would lose our deposit. We made it clear that we were prepared to accept this loss. Perhaps not surpringly, today, two months after making it clear that we no longer needed their services, the scaffolding company arrived to set up for the work to be done next week. At no point had we been given a date for the work to be done so this seemed to typify the company's dysfunctional internal communications. I wish the company no ill will but until they get their acto together they are best avoided.

Had a quote appointment booked for today, and it lasted less than 5 minutes before the guy was asked to leave.
As I work from home, but was stuck in a meeting I left my wife to look after this quote. She is technically savvy after dealing with the other collection of builders that have given us quotes on a "simple" fascia, Soffit and guttering job.
After asking to come in, the first thing he said to my wife was "We need to speak to your husband".
The reasoning apparently was that it needs to be a joint decision. A joint decision for what? A hard sale? Every other company has not been interested in coming into the house and just wanted to have a look at what the job was, what she wanted and confirming contact details for the quote.
After stating how ridiculous it is that a quote cannot be given to just one member of the household, the salesman just shrugged and saidthat "I dont make the rules" and continued to say that I would be required.
At this point he was asked to leave, and seemed to be annoyed that we had wasted his time.
In the planning of this "quote appointment" never was it mentioned that both of us would be required.
The door-to-door salesman, who knocked yesterday could have mentioned it.
The confirmation phone call confirming our details could have mentioned it.
In this household, we do make joint decisions, but are not going to be subject to a hard sale tactic which this feels like it was going to be.

I find your sales tactic completely unacceptable. The team came to measure everything, but after several conversations, I encountered a major obstacle. I was informed that you would not provide a quote unless my husband was present. This is utterly ridiculous. As the homeowner, it is outrageous that my request hinges on my husband's availability.
Consequently, we will not be engaging with your company. It is shocking that you still have such outdated policies, which undermine homeowners' ability to make their own decisions about their homes.

efficient and tidy!
I had windows and doors replaced. I had a planned schedule that had to change due to family emergency and they were very accommodating. When I was able to have the surveyer come to do the measurements, I had a phone call that afternoon to book in the fitting date which was only 3 weeks later. When the fitter came - Simon - he was so efficient and professional. Got on with the job. Didn't pfaff about. Happy to answer my questions. Was on site the minimum time he needed to be (because he just worked straight through) which meant the minimum disruption. It was a 2 day job - the second day he was all done by 2 pm. Total hard grafter! I have nothing but praise.

From the offset the company is brilliant from sales to install to finish installers great guys and then it fails we had a problem with a leak a remedial man came with a set of ladders and a sealant gun he would have noticed the issue being a professional but he felt it suffice to seal the gap this not resolve the issue upon inspection by myself it is clear the guttering has been cut short this now has to be resolved we are on holiday and hit a photo from our daughter showing a piece of facia in the garden the job has only been fitted several weeks a ten year guarantee is needed because I can’t see an end to this we had facials andsoffettsand guttering for 26 years needed updating this hasn’t lasted two minutes bad taste in my mouth

This company phoned me to organise a visit in order to quote for a full replacement and new windows/doors. I phoned this morning as no one turned up. I spoke to a man who apologised and asked to reschedule, I said I’d be happy to. He then asked me whether my husband would be attending the meeting. I said he wouldn’t but that I would be handling the renovation so it was unnecessary for him to attend. The man refused to have a meeting with just me and told me my husband needed to attend. When I expressed my confusion, he rudely replied ‘well I was about to explain’. He gave me some rubbish about about follow through being better with couples. I repeated that my husband would not be involved with the renovation decisions but he still refused to make an appointment without him. This funnily enough wasn’t mentioned by the woman who initially booked in this appointment. told him that I would therefore not be moving forward with them. To be honest his attitude on the phone was so unpleasant, I’m pleased I dodged a bullet with going any further.

Every aspect of AWR, from the quality and standard of their work to the customer service, is first rate. This is the second time I've used them, and, should I need any further work on my house in the future, theirs will be the first number I call.

Update 2 : It took a full 7 days before I was called by them again. Going forward I will review each interaction
Update: I have been assured that I will no longer be contacted. In a month or so if this looks to be the case I will fully edit my review to more positive if not I will amend again with the evidence of the conversations
I went with them for my fascias. I was really happy with the guy that came round to measure up. The scaffolding went up in a timely manner and down again the quality and finish was great..... So why 1 star?
Like so many others I keep getting calls. "Hi you recently wanted some Fascia, I know you might not want them now but in the future."
To which the first time I said "oh I have had them installed."
The second time was the same but I added, can you remove me from being called as it obviously wastes your time and mine.
The third time I was less impressed and said they are disturbing me at work. The guy got a bit sarcastic and said "if i say you will be removed, you will be"
Well he didn't. I have had close to 15 calls now and it is the same each time. Last time I said I would leave a negative review so here it is. It is such a shame as I would have recommended them to every one I know at the start but I won't now. I will actively tell them to dodge.
I know they will reply with "Please provide your details and we will sort it" based on the other review responses. But the fact they have to keep responding to the same issue and don't seem to be learning from it is a red flag. I will happily remove this review or update to 5* if they simply did what they said they were going to do.

From the very start with the knock on the door the sales person manners and how they was made the conversation alot easier and we wasnt thinking of having them done so soon even though it was on the to do list. Then the lady who im not sure if I can name but not sure if I can name, although id like too was very cormfating towards us had we just recieved some bad news. How she went about discussing everything with us and set up the plan very friendly polite service. Then the work being installed was as mess free as possible very smooth installation process. We are having more work done in the near future to complete the house fully. Very recommended already recommended to another family member. PCN number NG11679
