I signed up for Alibaba Cloud’s Coding Plan specifically to avoid surprise PAYG bills for AI API usage. Their console UX kept my old PAYG API key active and made it non‑obvious which key was actually attached to the Coding Plan. I unknowingly used the wrong key, consumed the same type of resources that should have fallen under the Coding Plan, and was then billed at higher PAYG rates.
Support repeatedly hid behind “personal configuration error” even after I explained the UX trap and asked for a small gesture of goodwill (refund or account credit). They refused both and only offered to refund unused Coding Plan balance if I stopped using it. I’ve paid, cancelled everything, and moved my workloads elsewhere.
If you value clear billing UX and basic goodwill when an honest mistake happens, I would strongly recommend choosing another AI/cloud provider.

Boy the bill is overdue for 0.05 usd and they nevel told me anything and delete everything. What a shame!
I would ask anybody that plans to use…
I would ask anybody that plans to use AlibabaCloud for anything to NOT USE IT. They always gaslights their customer. I bought a Simple Application Server, it comes with a 200mbps peak bandwidth 1core 2gb ram, I idle the server most of the time, even though I rarely uses it, the network was suddenly limited to 20mbps rendering completely unusable. Customer support blaming me that I didnt read their ToS that simple application server is not meant to use for hosting, like wtf? And their network peering is close to subpar, everything is public peering, and they charge you a fortune for outbound traffic, which is unreasonable. Services from AWS/google/azure provides private peering for all major ISP and gave cheaper outbound traffic prices.
Finally, customer support always starts with gaslighting, asking you to purchase more expensive plans despite it was a datacenter network peering issue, and provide no real solutions to the said problem.
Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience
I signed up for a 12-month VPS and was initially impressed — setup was smooth, and I even received a courtesy call from their support team to check in and offer assistance.
However, things quickly went downhill. The next day, the VPS froze. I tried to access their control panel to check the status and reboot, but couldn't log in because it requires an email verification — which I never received.
I've been in contact with support for two days now, and I still can’t access my account. Unfortunately, support has been unhelpful, and the issue remains unresolved.
Don't even think about getting free access for 12 months.

1. You will be asked to link your card, write your address
2. After you choose a server for 0$ - you will receive a letter to your e-mail: “We found that the payment method you are using with your Alibaba Cloud account has security risks”.
3. You will be asked to:
1) A photo of the linked card
2) ID card
3) Bank statement for the last month
I sent them all the data - in 1 day I got a reply: “Sorry, your application for account verification has been rejected. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
They scare away all customers with their stupid conditions.
My mail in their system: nickstokes21@ - you can check)
terrible experience
terrible experience , they fool you by the trial , but after completing registration and visa card verification they take 1 dollar, they will tell you
¨We found that the payment method you are using with your Alibaba Cloud account has security risks. Please provide additional information about your account to ensure maximum security. We will investigate further:
¨ they gather only info/Id/passport of people so there is no trial without giving them all those information.
Don't use there service
I bought a VPS of 2gb/2core and in the next 8 days, they are trying to charge my card an additional $26 for bandwidth. How do you give users only 200 GB of traffic every month, others provide a minimum of 3TB for VPS with better specs and at less than $7. Their service is not suitable for anything you think you need them for, it's not worth the effort.

He waste my 4 days just reason is verification I lost my contract project due to Alibaba cloud because he was asking just very fine I submitted data to time but really it to very slow team it's not response in 4 days I delete my account and choose another cloud service
Ali Cloud - STAY FAR AWAY!
I bought the Pay-As-You-Go plan and thinking it's the most economical plan for me as I don't use the application regularly. To my surprise, I incur expenses that I never thought would happen with my low usage. Every month, they bill twice, and each bill is 40 to 50 USD. Every day, I receive alerts from Ali Cloud that a cryptomining software has hooked on its server and in order to remove it, I will have to purchase something for extra service. Isn't this their server issue? Why would the consumer have to bear responsibility for this? Moreover, I thought I signed up for a free individual account. But in the end it's not free. STAY AWAY FROM ALI CLOUD. Most likely they are caused by the server getting hacked with cryptomining. Moreover, there's no detailed break down on the usage at all - only general data!
Don't buy domains here
I bought a .CN domain (I bought it from Alibaba cloud because it's the cheapest). The .CN domain needs a passport verification. I sent my passport and they authorized it. Then I bought the .CN domain but I couldn't access it. Days later I found out that the domain had been released again. I spent days trying to ask what happened but their "engineers" never gave me an answer. The domain was paid for and they don't want to give me a refund. In short, they stole my money. Don't buy from this company. Better to go to godaddy or another one.
I am extremely disappointed with the…
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Alibaba Cloud. Our company recently discovered that a fraudulent website, https://www mobitsolutionstz com", was hosted on their platform. Despite numerous attempts to report this illegal activity and provide evidence, their response has been nothing short of appalling.
Their customer support team's dismissive attitude is utterly unacceptable. Instead of taking immediate action to investigate the hosting data on their servers, they consistently regurgitate the same nonsensical excuse: "The domain cannot be accessed, so its content cannot be verified." This blatant disregard for customer concerns is indicative of Alibaba Cloud's lack of responsibility and accountability.
It is clear that Alibaba Cloud prioritizes profit over ethical practices. By allowing fraudulent websites to operate unchecked on their platform, they are complicit in facilitating illegal activities. This negligence not only harms legitimate businesses but also undermines trust in their services.
I urge anyone considering Alibaba Cloud for hosting services to think twice. Their failure to address security concerns and their indifferent customer support demonstrate a blatant disregard for the safety and integrity of their clients' online presence. Do not entrust your business to a company that refuses to take responsibility for its actions.
Shameful.
Shameful.
They are hosting a scammer which steals personal & financial information from unsuspecting customers.
I made a detailed report with screenshots of their fake website.
They flatly refuse to take action.
Shameful.

Stolen content from linkfly.com and doesn’t take down usps scams.
Steer clear of Alibaba Cloud
Steer clear of Alibaba Cloud – their lax approach to security is alarming. They fail to address privacy breaches and refuse to take down phishing sites, effectively supporting malicious activities. Protect your data and look elsewhere for reliable and secure services.
Spent an hour, trying to buy a domain. Impossible
Their signup procedure is the most incredible display of incompetence imaginable. Their email verification did not work until I deleted site cookies. Nothing works. They demanded a second email verification. They demanded a Registrant profile for China, which I created. They demanded a Registrant profile for ICANN, which I created. Then they kept refusing me to check out because "You do not have a registrant profile". I created a third one. They were all listed as: "Registrant profiles" above the error message: "You do not have any Registrant profiles yet - please create one".
Then a chat window popped up. "Questions? We are here to chat right now!".
So I typed the problem, and everything I tried, into the chat window. The window said: "Sorry, get back to us in two days, it's weekend now!".
The chat window had no close button. So the site was unusable at that point.
I'm a web developer. I say with 100% certainty that their site is unusable. Nothing works and I doubt anyone can manage to register a domain with them, since they do not even have a menu item for that on their site (you must scroll down many pages and discover it in the small print, hidden in a body of text in the footer..)
Oh and every time you do something on their site, a slider says: "We detected suspicious activity from your IP address, solve CAPTCHA to continue" and/or "We SMSed you a security code" etc. etc..
Company's Poorly Designed System is a Disaster!
THIS FRICKING COMPANY IS A HOST FOR ALL FRAUD KINDS IN ALL COUNTRIES! IT USED TO IGNORE REPORTS, BUT NOW IT'S FLAGGING MY REPORTS WITH SPAM FOR 7 TIMES! WHAT THE HECK DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET YOU TO TAKE ACTION ON THIS POORLY DESIGNED SYSTEM?!
Will not remove fraud or phishing sites.
Alibaba Cloud turns a blind eye towards fraud and phishing sites and will not remove these websites even when reported through their abuse form. All they do is report the complaint to the site owner and ask them to 'clean up the fraud'.
seems happy to enable scamming
Alibaba Cloud is listed by ICANN as registrar for a fraudulent website used for repeated scamming, hundreds of victims in various countries. Sent three complaints to their designated domain abuse address. No response or action.
Worst hosting we ever tested
Worst hosting we ever tested. Ok we tried to open a website inside mainland china, this is known to be very time consuming and very complex. We had ALL informations needed, also a mainland china company, really ALL needed informations about 20 key points including documents and images of business owner, direct video chat calls and so on...company responsible documents and all, also we talk about a big company with 15.000 employees. Within three different ali cloud managers and a timeframe of about 10 month (!) of process manager, with declining of money from our accounts (without even one minute of launching a website)...and we talk about a small static HTML website, no eCommerce, no interaction with users, no product selling...at end: it was impossible to gain our target. A nightmare of different advises, technical problems and false tips from the managing personal, including new personal stationed in frankfurt for the german market...no chance. Intransparenct over-complex interface as well...the deletion of our account was also a nightmare...
It was horrible when I wanted to delete…
It was horrible when I wanted to delete my account. The other review left by D.K. Sharma is correct: we couldn't delete our account by ourselves while they kept charging my credit card even if I wasn't using it at all. They kept charging me even after I changed a new credit card! WT?! Talked to their IT back and forth for almost 100 messages and finally got the account deleted. It's first time I met a business who couldn't even delete a user's account on their end.
