Recent Decline in Seller Experience

Alias used to be my favourite platform for selling shoes on, and for a long time it was the best way for me to maximize my profits and minimize setbacks compared to other platforms.

However, over my time using Alias, I had issues regarding the authenticity of certain pairs of shoes. Despite using legit check apps to verify them before listing, Alias disagreed with their authenticity on a total of four counts. This ultimately led to my selling privileges being revoked, even though my seller score was well above the minimum requirement.

Another concern is customer service. In the past, response times were great, typically within a few hours. Now, it takes several days to hear back, even with follow-up emails. When I reached out regarding my selling privileges, I was told they would be reinstated within 1-3 business days—it has now been over a week with no resolution.

I’m still grateful for the opportunities Alias provided me as a seller, but my recent experience has been frustrating. I’d love to continue using the platform, but improvements in customer support and seller dispute resolutions are definitely needed.

Update: ALIAS/GOAT have now closed my account after I took the necessary steps they gave me to appeal the suspension of my selling privileges. Yes, they said I could sell on the platform again then did a takesies-backsies. If I didn’t make so much selling on this platform compared to others I would have already given up by now. A truly infuriating experience.
