Pilgrim Lodge for those seeking a true experience

Japan's first (only?) dedicated pilgrim hostel on the island of Narushima- 100kms west of Nagasaki and connected by daily ferry. The Albergue San Ignacio Pilgrim Lodge was recently opened to serve the needs of visitors wishing to walk in the footsteps of Japan's Hidden Christians. A short walk to the Akogi trailhead (also known as Camino de Silencio)- it's a perfect place to consider how the Christian faith was kept- hidden but very much alive- for over 250 years until the communities were once again free to believe openly. Truly amazing and worth visiting!
