I worked with these people for a couple of months. I worked specifically with their Laravel package, we needed a good solution for an online store.
Their shop solution is basically garbage. Unworkable, not developer friendly, full of bugs. They let anyone push changes to their github codebase.
The support team is garbage. Even if you pay they don't do that good of a job and they charge you money for every hour they spend fixing your issue, even if they don't manage to fix it. It felt like we were dealing with a bunch of unqualified Indian Fiverr programmers.
Their support packages are ridiculously expensive and they don't do you much good in terms of reply speeds, you are still stuck with email communication.
They offer custom extensions like Elastic Search. We bought this extension, but it's subscription based. When the subscription expires, you can't update your Aimeos installation, because the Elastic Search extension's version is tied to the Aimeos version. They make breaking changes to their Aimeos core package, which makes the Elastic Search extension incompatible with future Aimeos versions, forcing you to renew a subscription costing thousands of dollars for a simple Elastic Search package.
Their Aimeos Laravel package is full of bugs and when you find a bug and report it to them, they don't fix it. Instead they want you to go fix it for them by pushing your own updates to their Github codebase. The users of this package are not working for them, why would we fix their own problems and broken platform?
I deeply regret spending a single minute trying to figure out their spaghetti code and I hope others don't make the same mistake and spare themselves some headaches.
