Dear Amy,
Thank you for your follow-up emails regarding your March 28, 2026 Cayman Aggressor IV reservation.
We understand that medical situations can change, and we appreciate you providing the update from Luke's surgeon. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with reinstating your reservation.
When guests cancel their reservations, we work within our established policies to provide clear information about available options. In this situation, after our team invested time addressing your requests for policy exceptions, you made the decision to initiate a chargeback dispute rather than work within our normal processes. This approach creates additional costs and complications for our company.
We focus our efforts on supporting guests who work collaboratively within our established procedures and follow our recommendations for purchasing Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. These policies are specifically designed to provide financial protection for unforeseen medical situations like the one you experienced.
As we mentioned in our previous communication, we are not a good fit for each other, and encourage you to explore other adventure travel options elsewhere
Our relationship has ended and your reservation will remain canceled.
We wish you and Luke well with his surgery and recovery.
Sincerely,
Larry Speaker

Aggressive = rip off

Aggressor Adventures is nothing but a money grabbing scam company. My trip was six months out and I unfortunately tore my rotator cuff. I called to change the date of my trip immediately. Aggressor was not helpful at all. They just told me that there was a cancellation policy where I would have to pay $1200. Extremely ridiculous. I will never do business with this shit company again.

Safety and experience RED FLAGS

I am an experienced scuba diver and before my Roatan, Honduras liveaboard, I had equal numbers of trips of Aggressor and non-Aggressor liveaboard trips completed (Australia, Palau, Maldives, Belize, etc...)
The Roatan Aggressor has turned me off the Aggressor brand forever.

Accommodations - the boat is very old, there were frequent/daily toilet and air-conditioning issues.

Service - not friendly. I had to ask several times throughout my trip for something that should have been done the right way first time. For example, asking for our Kleenex or soap to be refilled, when cleaning should have picked up on this and just done it without me having to remind them.

Food - there was one good meal (steak and shrimp), otherwise, I actually cannot believe we were fed LEFTOVER desserts. I did not come on a vacation to eat stale old cakes. Some people felt sick after eating, especially after the asian food night. Don't use the ice, the ice box was filled with MOLD!

Diving - Dive masters should be there to point out points of interest/animals of interest. Dive masters were interested in taking their own photos of things, or disinterested in the dive altogether. Safety a huge concern all the way around. AED did NOT work, when we needed it the most. Spare batteries for the AED where NOT available on board. MAJOR red flags and safety concerns. If you try your 'luck' with this boat, you better check their safety gear before you leave port.

I could go on, unfortunately.

Great liveaboard experience

Great liveaboard experience. Accomodations, food, staff, equipment all excellent. Even appreciated their post-trip responsiveness in returning a lost and found item from Egypt to the US.

Everything about the Bahamas Aggressor…

Everything about the Bahamas Aggressor boat was five stars except for the sleeping arrangements. Since this is the oldest boat in the fleet there isn’t much you can do. I was on the top bunk that had maybe 14” inches before you hit your head. Same with the lower bunk however regarding headroom. Who got the top bunk depended on who went to the bathroom less because it was quite challenging to get out of the bunk in the dark was challenging. Everything else, especially the food was top notch. Some of the best I ever had, the crew I would give seven stars if i could go that high. The diving experience also five stars
Just FYI, if the sleeping arrangements are the reason you would not book this site, the good news is they have a brand new luxury boat coming online in May 2025. The Bahamas aggressor 1 boat will remain in use and will be doing a different dive area which the Captain of this past boat says is the better underwater experience. So the choice is yours; luxury living with very good diving OR “challenging” sleeping arrangements with exceptional underwater experience

Red Sea Aggressor IV | RISK!!! Live-aboard at Red Sea Dedalus and St. John

Dedalus and St. John with Red Sea Aggressor IV: The experience of this trip was very bad with a lot of RISKS and dead reefs!!! I do NOT recommend it to anyone!!!

To present who I am: I would like to mention that I have previously been working as a Master Scuba Dive Trainer, Cave Diver, Underwater Photographer in Mexico, DR and Thailand for about 5-7 years around the millennium. I have about 1200 dives. Today I work as a Business Development Director to plan commercial drug sourcing over 1 million Euro/USD for global clinical trials where I was responsible for North America for a 130K size employee company. Trying to say that I have many dive and travel experiences.

Sign up: It started with the sign up to join this trip. Things are very disorganized and takes a lot of time, patience away from you and leave you irritated.

Aggressor IV: The boat has terrible conditions for the price.

Food: Half of the boat got food poisoning

RISKS: They put my life at risk as I had asked them to dive on air but at half of the trip I realized that they were giving me Nitrox. The risk was that they say you can go to the depth of your certification. This means that if I would have seen a shark or something interesting, I would have followed it a bit deeper for a short time. Anyone that has Nitrox knowledge would know that one shouldn’t pass the partial pressure or 1.4-1.6 atmosphere of O2 as it would lead to O2 poisoning and could cause convulsions. So to give me a gas that was not agreed upon is a life threatening risk!!!! Not only did they put my life at risk, they wanted to charge me for the Nitrox on top of it and were arguing. Are you serious!!!

In addition the guides were forcing the groups to swim hard against the current as PLANNED dives. Especially at the end of the trip with 3-5 dives/day and accumulated N2 in your body, this is a huge risk for decompression sickness. This dive profile once again was planned and mentioned in the briefing. Very BAD!!!

Staff: 50/50 pleasant/rude

Service: We had requested to be notified to upgrade to the better suite if there were cancelations. They kept saying it was not available. Then they requested that we would pay $400 instead of the original cost of $200 once we were onsite. This was later to a different couple given for free (which we found out at the end and were happy for their sake) but we were not offered it for free since were first offered the cabin and said we wanted it. But for the price that the webpage had requested.

Reefs: Dead!!! Dedalus and St. John with Red Sea Aggressor IV

Fellow Divers: Lovely

opportunities to improve

Red Sea Aggressor iv
Have been to Egypt at various locations about 8 times. Went on snorkel trip on live aboard.
opportunities to improve
1. Quality of food on boat was not good.
Developed a stomach upset in Marsa Shagra and couldn't shift and GP now treating for bacterial infection.
2. Mattresses and pillows rock hard. Crew on liveaboard found a mattress topper. Thank you!
3. Maintenance on boat neglected; e.g. various screws out of fitments, paint peeling, dispenser in bathroom blocked. Boat looks tired
4. On boat we were given a piece of paper and requested to settle a bill we didn't have. It had a space to write down how much tip you were leaving, your room number and name. We felt under pressure. Would rather either tip be included in the price or have a box in which to place the tips for crew and separate one for guides.
positives
swimming with dolphins!!!!!
lovely people, helpful, friendly
good weather, warm clear water
great hard corals
Excellent guides

The Aggressor administration were dishonest with me

In May I booked my Aug 24th trip for the Bahamas Aggressor, specifically asked for the lower bed and received confirmation of the lower bed in room 5. This was important to me because the boat is small and old and the top bunk is very small and claustrophobic.
Weeks later I was informed that I have been moved to the upper bed. Although I was upset, I understood that the waiver I signed when booking as a single passenger allows me to be moved in order to accommodate two guests traveling together.
The good news is that the 12 other guests were fantastic people and great divers. Altogether there were (including myself) 2 couples, 5 women, and 4 men on this trip, and I would happily go on a dive safari with any of them.
The crew were excellent and did their best under difficult circumstances with a host of technical and maintenance problems.
I won’t go into the technical problems with one of the compressors that resulted in us missing dives, having no Nitrox or proper a/c. etc. I’ll just speak about the absolute lack of integrity of this organization.
It turns out that shortly after I booked and paid for my trip, the Bahamas Aggressor had a low season $1000 discount in order to fill up the empty spaces on the boat. In fact, apart from myself, only one other woman guest paid full price.
There were 4 men traveling separately, I shared a room with a guy, and in the next room were 2 other men traveling separately. From the two rooms accommodating the four men, I had booked before all of them, and, I paid $1000 more than them because I booked before the promotional sale, and yet, after receiving confirmation of a lower bed, I was bumped to the top bunk in favor of people who booked after me and paid $1000 less than I did!! (again, I cannot overstate that these were the nicest of people and I have zero complaints against any of them)
I sent several emails to Aggressor asking that since my original booking wasn’t honored, and that the reason for my having been moved clearly went against the reason stated in the wavier, I should be given the same $1000 discount as all the other guests. Most of my emails fell on deaf ears (completely ignored!!) but eventually I received an answer from Larry Speaker, the VP of Operations, where he completely brushed me off, and even quoted his own Aggressor wavier which states “ I understand and agree any guest who books a single space in a stateroom, river cruise or safari lodge that is designed for two guests; will be subject to be moved to another room (with the person of the same gender) without being notified in order to free up space for two guests traveling together.” The 2 rooms with male guests were 4 people traveling separately, so he literally contradicted his own legal wavier!!! He also wrote “We do acknowledge that the ebb and flow of prices travel related products can be very frustrating. However, To make exceptions for one guest would not be fair to other guests who chose to book alternate dates or destinations in order to qualify for the various incentives that we offered. It would also not be fair to other guests in our fleets who are all paying full fare. As such, we can not offer you the refund requested. “ Ahhh hello???? Who am I if not the guest who paid full fare and was not given his confirmed accommodation in favor of a guest paying $1000 less!!!!!
The Aggressor Fleet acted against their own legal wavier and refuse to take responsibility and this shows a total lack of integrity.
