About Agent Asha
Written by the company
Agent Asha helps kids with STEM, coding and creativity through award-winning spy stories and games. We teach kids 21st-century skills using hi-tech spy stories, because not every kid wants to be a coder, but almost everyone wants to be a spy!
Our bestselling activity packs arrive in a brown envelope in the post. All of the computer science, coding and STEM education has been secretly squished into our stories and activities, so your kids will never suspect they are learning a thing 😉
We’re passionate about using the power of inclusive stories and inclusive role models to inspire ALL kids into STEM, and everything we sell is sustainable, plastic-free, carbon neutral and made locally by people who are paid fairly.
Agent Asha herself is an 11-year-old from Wembley, London, who has just been asked to join the largest spy agency in the world! She’s been shortlisted for the Royal Society’s Young People's Book Prize, the Little Rebels Award and is operating in over 80 countries. We would tell you more about her adventures, but we’ve been sworn to secrecy.

My 8 year old grandson loved the farting selfie stick!
My 8 year old grandson loved this book and thought Asha was really cool, especially her secret weapon - a farting selfie stick! It's a great way to engage kids in coding, critical thinking and STEM and is particularly relevant today, promoting an engaging, smart and funny female role model who not only is a spy, but also a rather naughty, mischievous typical 11 year old.
My 7 year old daughter loves this book
My 7 year old daughter loves this book, the characters, the plot, the silly jokes. Great idea and a great role model for young women.
Agent Asha…
I purchased Agent Asha for my 7yr old daughter. She loved it! The fact that everything is spy themed as soon as you order just adds to the fun!!!
Ultimate Spy Bundle
I bought the Ultimate Spy Bundle for my nieces 7th birthday and I have been so impressed with the whole process. Ordering on the website is easy and they take care of the details in every aspect of their services. From the order confirmation email to the packaging that the products arrive in, everything is spy themed! I have to make a point of giving a huge thumbs up and appreciation to the customer service team (Naomi in particular!) for their amazing service, the company really cares about their new potential spies and it made the whole experience even better. Great product for the little truth seekers in your life who also love coding, highly recommend!
Amazing service from the order until…It’s a secret!!
Amazing service from the order until delivery. Really went the extra mile to provide individual customer assistance……thank you Bright little labs!! Will certainly recommend to friends as grandsons delighted with contents of ‘their brown envelopes’ shhh!!
Detective Dot Spy Megapack
We bought the Detective Dot Spy Megapack as a present for my son's 8th birthday and I would definitely recommend it. He was absolutely sucked in from the moment he opened his personalised secret agent letter (even refusing to tell us what was inside - far too top secret for that!). He has loved all of it - the book, the app and the challenges. His favourite parts have been communicating with the different departments on the CIA website and receiving actual replies in response to his challenges! 6 months down the line and he is still getting regular use out of this (especially during the period of home learning) and remains just as engaged. A fantastic resource and I love the fact that it challenges stereotypes. Money very well spent!
Nice people to deal with
Nice people to deal with. A breath of fresh air and an approved product (rated by under 11s).
My kids absolutely love this
My kids absolutely love this, and I love the concept behind it. The story was funny, engaging and the tasks the same. I wish more people wrote books that taught our children about the ethical choices that they (and their parents) are making everyday.
Great idea - But let down by a weak story and tasks
I love the idea behind Detective Dot. Unfortunately neither my son nor niece liked the actual Detective Dot. The story writing is weak. It's adequate, but it doesn't compare to the excellent and funny children's books around today. The puzzles/tasks are a real disappointment. I expected the learning tasks to be nicely integrated with the story, and be fun. Instead, they're separate, and feel more like homework tasks rather than fun puzzles or challenges.
My son loved the book (well it’s more…
My son loved the book (well it’s more than a book) and was fascinated by the inventions and story. It’s great! I’d recommend from age 6 upwards.

My son Gabriel is eight and really into…
My son Gabriel is eight and really into his coding, so loves Detective Dot. He eagerly awaits new top-secret missions so please keep them coming! A brilliant way to engage children with an increasingly relevant subject. Gabriel asked me to rate Detective Dot five stars.
We love it!
I am delighted to see the collaboration between THE CHILDRENS DETECTIVE AGENCY and KIDZANIA. Two of my favourite STEM activities for kids coming together. My kids have been in the CIA for several years and we’ve gifted the magapack to several more kids. Love it!
Fun and exciting
Fun and exciting, sometimes a little challenging. You never know what will come next! (Aged 10)
Important review
Hi Dectective Dot Team
I purchased this book as a gift for my friends daughter.
The envelope and quslity and design of the book and stickers was colourful and exciting to look at.
More importantly the feed back my friends daughter who doesn’t enjoy reading was she Loved it and finished reading it too. Great work, keep it up !!!
A really lovely concept
A really lovely website, and easy to purchase. The only thing I would like to see, as I was buying this for my nephew's birthday is a scheduled order date, so I could've sent it straight to him, and maybe more explanation on the process.
Brilliant concept
Brilliant concept! Loved reading the storyline about Detective Dot's mission to tackle global issues, encouraging enquiry into what's ethical in a fun cool way for kids and adults too! I definately would have loved to be part of the C.I.A. (children's intelligence agency) growing up as a British Indian Girl :) so unique and innovative embedding coding and all things tech for the next generation. Thank you team Detective Dot!
