Glad I read the reviews on Trustpilot and cancelled

I’d warn others not to use this site. Wasted hours trying to get booking through.

Booked two rooms two days ago with payment to be made yesterday. Trouble doing this as credit card kept being refused by Agoda as was “not valid” which was not true.

Bank told me that details from Agoda which allow the bank to process the payment were missing. All sounded very fishy and despite trying nearly a dozen times plus using a debit card and my husband’s card never managed to get the booking paid.

I even found a phone number on an online search. The man I spoke to found my booking and said I could pay over the phone. Not going to pay £2500 to a random call handler!

Have used Agoda in the past and was pleased with the service. No idea what’s happened since, but won’t be using them again.

I finally saw sense and cancelled the booking and actually found the hotel cheaper on another site.

Avoid at all costs

Made a mistake here and paid for it but you are taken there via trivago so you think it’s legit. Booked a hotel turns out in wrong location by mistake prepared to stay first night but need to cancel 3 further dates. Won’t even talk to me citing error on my booking info. I’ve given up on the money and am leaving tomorrow. I wish I could load the view from the room :-(

I booked a hotel in Amalfi coast on…

I booked a hotel in Amalfi coast on August 29/24
Hotel residenza sole, I was given wrong address for the hotel on my booking as there well 2 hotel had 2 location
I paid 90 euro for a taxi to take me there finding out it was the wrong hotel
After making a few phone call by the hotel clerk I was told my booking was at the other location
It wasn’t easy to come back to the right location with my luggage in a taxi again paying another $50 euro
Have Agoda gave the proper address to begin with
I would not faced this issue and expense

NO STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE

NO STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE - Following the death of my father in Australia, my husband and I had to cancel a booking for a hotel in Germany we'd made through Agoda. It was a non-refundable booking so we were aware of the situation. However given the circumstances I thought I would ask.
I sent the request to Agoda at 16.35 on 8 August 2024. At 16.38 that day Agoda had responded saying they had contacted the hotel and the request was denied. Very quick indeed!! I wrote to the hotel and they said they had not received a request for cancellation. It is impossible to converse with anyone from Agoda because my query doesn't fit within their options. I have not cancelled the booking because the hotel said if it was up to them they would at the very least offer us a rebooking (not an option for us) but they could not as the booking was made through Agoda.
Agoda have lost our business for ever.

Stranded with family of elderly and kids

Turned up at the property in India with pre paid confirmation from Agoda and the hotel denied room saying they do not have tie up with Agoda . Called Agoda customer care 10:40 pm local time, spent crucial time at night with them (around 30 mins) and they were not able to contact the property and offered a callback to arrange alternative booking. Agoda specialist team called back and offered cancellation+AgodaCash compensation as they were not able to find alternative bookings. It was of no help as it is already late in night and with kids and elderly. Got stranded at middle of night without any practical help. Disappointed with the property and with Agoda for such pathetic business values. If the pre paid confirmation of a property cannot guarantee you the accommodation, what is the point of using these services? A full refund will not give you alternative accomodation and address the risk of sleeping on the street with kids and elderly. This is nothing but unethical business practices and fraud.

HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!

TOOK £235 DIRECTLY OUT MY BANK ACCOUNT WHEN IT WAS A “pay at hotel” been back and forth for 5 weeks now and they won’t refund my money!!!! Absolute S*** show. Wouldn’t bother wasting your money by the looks of this they do this a lot!😡 everyday they require different information and someone new dealing with your case. Customer service is shocking!!!! More to the story but WOW! NEVER AGAIN FURIOUS.

Do not use them

This company is dreadful! I would give them 0 stars. DO NOT USE THEM. Dreadful customer service. Their complaint system is appalling. They booked a hotel for me despite being able to honour what I asked for and then refused to cancel it! The communication I had with them was tortuous.

I had a bad experience on my bookings…

I had a bad experience on my bookings and reviews was never published.

First Room had open wiring and the second had a bathroom that was flooded with toilet water, toilet was not working, and was already full of human waste. The property owners did even bother to pick their phone or reply.

Have send several complains but no use. not even a reply from the company.

HAM AND CHEESE.

Booked room with agoda for one night stay at Ham And Cheese Malton.Rang hotel the week before to confirm booking and hadn,t been booked. They said no details and could not book for one night only and had to be two. Luckly cancelled my bank card so no money transfered,but have to drive back to football tournament in one day.

This website is awful!!!

This website is awful!!!! Please do not give them your money. They do not care about the service or quality of your experience. I booked a hotel through them and it was the most awful experience of my life. The amount of stress I went through. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

Agoda will not honour their Best Price…

Agoda will not honour their Best Price Guarantee by hiding behind totally irrelevant Ts & Cs. Their customer service centre in India is utterly useless, just repeating the same limes no matter what you write or say.
Avoid this company!
