Poor Aftercare – Guttering Failed After 6 Months, No Response
I hired Advanced Roofline Cheshire to replace my fascias, soffits, and guttering. Just six months later, the guttering came apart. Since then, I’ve contacted the owner, Adam, multiple times via calls and texts, but he hasn’t responded at all.
Even their own sales representative admitted he had given up trying to chase Adam, which speaks volumes about how this business is run. There’s clearly no aftercare, no accountability, and no interest in fixing issues once they’ve been paid.
Extremely disappointed. I would not recommend Advanced Roofline Cheshire to anyone looking for quality workmanship or reliable service.
***EDIT: In response to Adam below:
Your response is both dismissive and misleading.
There is nothing “confusing” about my original review. The downpipe connected to the gutter came apart — exactly as I said. It didn’t just “come loose,” it fell apart due to your failure to fix it properly. As a result, rainwater is now running down the wall of my house, which could cause long-term damage if left unresolved. That is not a minor issue — it’s a clear sign of poor workmanship.
Let’s be clear — my builder is working on an entirely separate part of the house and only called you to ask how to remove a piece of guttering from the garage, not to fix your mistakes. Your advice wasn’t useful, and even if it had been, giving advice over the phone doesn’t excuse you from doing the job properly in the first place.
He ended up figuring it out himself — and in doing so, discovered that you hadn’t even used proper screws to fix the parts together. You used sealant, which is completely unacceptable and not what anyone would expect from a company claiming to offer “professional” seamless guttering services.
You loudly promote a 15-year guarantee, yet you’ve ignored my multiple polite messages and phone calls asking you to sort this out. That’s not just bad service — it’s dishonest. If you don’t honour your guarantee or even respond, then it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.
And while we’re at it, here are more issues I had with your work:
• You demanded random cash payments before the job was finished — completely unprofessional.
• You reused the old, dirty soffit vents, even though the job clearly included installing new ones.
• I had to flag up several problems with the finish around the front door and garage — things any reputable company should’ve taken care of without needing to be told.
In short, your work has been sloppy, your aftercare nonexistent, and your attitude dismissive. I stand 100% by my review and would not recommend your services to anyone.
I expect you'll cease trading under this name and go under a different name to avoid your bad reviews!!
