DOnt recommend ADP. The company is too bigand unable to accomodate the needs of small businesses.
I have been attempting to set up an account to pay 1 single employee and ADP has been truly giving me the run around related to bank account information.
Be ready for a tedious and cumbersome onboarding if you choose ADP

I wish I could give this company a negative review. I have been using it for years and every single year there is a new issue. I advise all people who can to avoid using this company for payroll services. It is complete garbage. They create random problems, stop responding to emails and their support staff on average has room temperature level IQ.

I have been trying to resolve a missing payroll packet with checks for staff everyday now, today is day 9 that I have been trying. Per our payroll portal, today I was #567 in line, a few days ago I was #352. Hold times have been anywhere from 3-5 hours. This tells me how much ADP values me as a client. Of the few times I was able to speak with someone, they gave me the wrong information (checks will be redelivered, checks will be reissued. Packet will be delivered by a certain time) I've asked for a manager to call, that was 5 days ago, no call. It's astonishing to me I can't get through either to talk with a live person who knows what they're doing or through the portal. Even through email that someone in customer service asked if issue was resolved, I said no... never heard back from them. ADP what is going on here?? You are the absolute WORST. I'm going to take our business elsewhere.
UPDATE:
Day 12 and payroll that was voided, the funds have NOT been redeposited into our account!! After I was first told, 24 hours on 12/19, then a few days later 24-36 hours, then 72 hours and today 12-31 I was told 5-7 days. The level of incompetence and unknowledgeable people I have been dealing with has been astonishing. ADP is basically holding money that does NOT belong to them and causing financial hardship for my business and it's employees. Also, of ALL the many people I have talked and emailed with, not one person has called or emailed to follow up on status of this situation. I continue to say ADP is the absolute WORSE!

The paystub information is visible in their system, however interacting with it creates error alerts in an up-to-date chrome browser.
They fall below the minimum bar for support and responsibility in the service they are providing. No live support - all work arounds are trivial (ie different browser, cookies, account) that have not worked.

Truly awful company.
All the hallmarks of thecontemporary American customer experience - deceitful billing, dismal customer support, frustrating policies and procedures.
Literally every step of the way, ADP will find a way to insert the word "can't" into their response to your inquiry. They will fight you on the most basic requests and attempts to figure out billing and payroll issues. Be ready to waste waaaaay too much time when you get fed up with their atrocious customer care and cancel.
Spent 3 hours on the phone and seemingly a decade in chat (239 people in the chat queue) to try to cancel. They REFUSE to offer you a direct email to an account manager and REFUSE to call you directly to rectify any issues or address concerns that might actually help them retain business.
So glad I found a local payroll provider. 5 star review on google, instant local customer support when I call and they work with you, not against you. What a breathe of fresh air - I would suggest looking locally if you're in a large city. The DIY online and large payroll providers are a nightmare to deal with when you need help the most.
Update: Pathetic "response" by ADP. They aren't sorry. If they cared about customers, they'd actually do the bare minimum to improve all aspects of their miserable customer experience

Absolutely abysmal company, honestly don’t know why companies keep paying them to do what should be such simple tasks!! Charge a fortune and don’t deliver!!!

This company repeatedly has telemarketers calls my business after I have asked to be placed on the do not call list. If they cannot follow a simple instruction, how on earth can they be trusted to do payroll?
The ADP app is just horrible, every morning it makes me late for work because it is so glitchy I have to pray that it works. I am going to suggest that my company switch to paylocity I swear I never had an issue. This app is terrible every morning the same thing

ADP is so focused on selling existing customers additional ancillary services that they've completely lost sight of their core payroll service. As my payroll company, they have a fiduciary responsibility to keep me informed & help me with what I NEED to do to remain compliant with changing local & federal laws, not what they WANT TO SELL ME. They use my vulnerability as a new small business owner to scare me into trying some new service that I don't want or need. The service that I'm actually paying for has been totally lost in their attempts to sell me the next subscription service. They call & email telling me I NEED to do this or that by this date in order to remain compliant with the latest rules, but the folks you speak to or interact with via email are only HIGH PRESSURE SALES PEOPLE that have no answers to questions - only more sleazy sales tactics to trick someone into buying something, even if only to shut them up & get them to stop soliciting. When I tell them that I responded to their email because it had the appearance of something I NEEDED, they only reluctantly & after repeating the same requests over & over begrudgingly provide the NEEDED info, all the while still trying to SELL me whatever it is they are pushing that day. Will likely change payroll companies after the new year to save myself the aggravation & extra effort of having to decipher if what they're telling me is NEEDED, or if they are just trying to SELL me something. These tactics can only be characterized as predatory.

This company has gotten too big and don't have an interest in setting up companies to be completely compliant

My phone number changed and I'm blocked from my payroll information. Off to help menu that asks for my login and password, I enter them and they ARE correct! Now sent to verification, I enter my login and "new"phone number, it tells my login "name" is wrong.. and directs me on a wildgoose chase. When I type in my login with my old number, it greets me and says sending message to phone for verification. it was when they wanted to verify through text message that I got blocked. I change verification to my email, yes great..you'd think.. once I put it in email option instead of phone option.. ADP continued to next screen (ah I thought great!) Landed on same page with old phone number for verification. Around and around we go..... getting dizzy. Eventually, you'll find out there is no support on this function after going around in circles as their isn't any direction on "changed phone number" Eventually you'll learn you must report to your company administrator to simply change your phone number. So now you're off and running trying to get to company administrator and have them type in a 7 digit number that could easily be done in 30 seconds,I entered correct name and password for my account but because they couldn't send a "text" I remained blocked even though my email was correct too. Update.. I did exactly what you tell me below.. the number was changed in "a field" but verification still wants verification through the old phone number.

My company uses ADP, and I have no complaints about being paid on time, the user interface, etc. My issue is with their contracting department. They are absolutely horrible at drafting, reviewing and managing contracts. Everything they send over is so convoluted, it gives me an instant headache. We endure months of back and forth negotiating because they make mistakes or don't know basic T&Cs. ADP: Hire competent people in your contracting/legal department that actually have knowledge to draft your contracts!

Absolute trash company.
Took money of our the account to pay all of the employees yet no one got a cent in their accounts. Apparently ADP has been working on it for 5 hours and still nothing - its Black Friday, jerks.

I have never had a problem with the ADP app with the whole nine months that I’ve been using it. Nothing is wrong with my direct deposit on the ADP app or with my bank but the ADP app did not send my check to my bank account and there’s basically nothing I can do about it.

Jackson Miller with ADP in Louisville, KY gave me an incredible experience. He went way above and beyond. I am not one to post reviews, but his effort and knowledge compelled me to do so. Wish I had more stars to give him.

Absolutely useless interface and UX. Nothing appears, can't access documents I need, and looks like it was created in 1990. Horrible.

I don't know how I let myself get scammed into this company, do yourself a favor and DON'T sign up. I signed up in September of 2025 and I'm already leaving at the end of the year and if I could leave sooner I would. Nobody knows what they are talking about, everyone talks in circles, people tell you they will get back to you and never do. The onboarding process was an absolute joke so much so I ended up having to run payroll outside of the system through my bank just to get my team paid on time.
This company is the worst company anyone can have for payroll all month they send out check stubs and NEVER pay anyone. All they do is spin you and keep your money. My company is suing them and I am contacting a lawyer to sue them also They are a scam! Nobody should do business with this rip off scamming people company!!!
If I could give -5 stars I would. The most inconvenient inconsistent payroll provider out there. I'm supposed to get my pay 2 days early good luck with that my company does payroll first thing Monday morning every thing is sent in Monday afternoon on pay week so people with direct deposit receive paycheck on Wednesday since I have been with this company one time has my pay been in there on Wednesday now it's Thursday and sometimes late as Friday afternoon never sure when it will be available adp is the worst haven't had to deal with this incompetent company since 2022 and wish I didn't have to deal with it again. So here I am again sitting here on Thursday playing the waiting game with adp dang it sucks.
