Just another lot of scammers

One star is a very generous score for this crowd of tricksters. Unfortunately I didn’t check reviews before I bought their rubbish. They are requiring me to return it to China despite their website saying returns are made to London. They are also offering me. 25% discount if I keep my 2 bags. They’re trying hard to avoid a refund but it won’t work as I’ve started a chargeback on my card. Despite their over-polite AI-generated emails these are an unscrupulous lot with zero concern for customers. Avoid!

⚠️ Warning about Adeline Boutique ⚠️

I purchased two bags and the quality was very poor – completely different from what was shown and described on the website. Additionally, the store is misleading about returns: the website shows a UK return address, but in reality they require you to send items back to China at your own expense.

If you are in a similar situation:
✔️ collect evidence (photos, screenshots of the listing, email correspondence)
✔️ contact the seller and request a full refund
✔️ do NOT accept partial refunds or pay for expensive international returns
✔️ request a chargeback through your bank under “goods not as described” and “misleading information”

This is how I successfully recovered my money. Don’t give up – if you have evidence, the bank can support you.

Just an update to warn others,I have put reviews about these scammers on here befor. I opened my dispute on the 6 April 2026.At 5 pm I get an email from Adeline Boutique.com stating they are issuing a refund to my original card. This is a secondary scam because all they want is your new card details, they know that you would have put a stop on the original card.So the bank are dealing with them.I rang to advise the bank of this email stating a refund was forth coming and they said they had the same note on the system but were monitoring it as it is early days. The bank advised they would contact me via my mobile if any refund arrives and not to communicate with these people.Go careful.

This site (Adeline Boutique) needs shutting down!

This site ( Adeline Boutique) needs closing down! They are scammers. They use someone else’s website showing beautifully crafted leather bags and what they send you (when they’ve pocketed your money!) is a dreadful plastic thing that bears no resemblance to leather! They were supposed to be in The Netherlands but after I’d spent £9:70 to return it there, I was informed the returns must go to China - what a surprise. I heard curtesy of Trust Pilot, that lots of people had been scammed by this outfit. This was a very expensive mistake on my part, but a very salutary lesson. But l warn everyone - don’t be fooled, as l was, there are NO leather bags, just tat.

Update on previous post … after several…

Update on previous post … after several email comms with ‘Kate’ I have now returned the plastic handbag to ….. China, at my own expense! The company offered me a partial refund if I didn’t return it - of 10% of what I paid for it😳. I opted to return it, but BEWARE! The return page indicates the return address is in the UK. IT IS NOT! It is in China! I have returned because apart from anything else, in the event that I do not get a full refund my credit card provider will step in.
I have told AB that this is misrepresentation on the website. It cost me £13 to return by Royal Mail - but the balance after postage is still far in excess of the 10% I was offered, as a ‘goodwill gesture’! That would be less than £5!
As I said before - avoid!!

Update re refund. Scam aware

Update re refund. I received an email at the weekend from Adelineboutique.com to say I would be refunded the cost of the bag. I noted that the money had been returned to my credit card account. This morning my credit card company emailed to say they’d been told the same but they would review my account to ensure credit is made. Hats off to Mastercard and my credit card company. Be scam aware!

Beware of this scam

Quality of handbags is nothing like the description/illustration. Just rubbish. There is no free returns as advertised. the returns policy gives a different return address from the one on the parcel label. Do not be taken in this is a scam. Also listed reviews on their website but they can't be accessed/opened.
