I signed up for AdCreative.ai to test the platform on the free plan. Within literally 3 minutes during the onboarding process, I received a confirmation that I had been charged over $400.
What happened:
During onboarding, you go through a few quick steps and “claim extra credits.” What is NOT clearly communicated is that this action automatically activates a paid “Professional plan.”
This is extremely misleading and feels borderline scammy.
I contacted support immediately requesting a full refund because:
I had not used the platform at all
I never intentionally subscribed to a paid plan
The upgrade was not transparently communicated
Instead of issuing a full refund right away, I was offered:
A 50% refund, or
3 months of access to the paid plan
This confirms to me that this is not a customer-friendly process, but rather a system designed to lock users into charges they did not clearly agree to.
I am based in the Netherlands (EU), where consumer protection laws are strict regarding misleading subscriptions. If this is not resolved properly, I will proceed with a chargeback and escalate the issue further.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to be very careful when going through the onboarding process.
Be aware: clicking through too quickly can cost you hundreds of dollars.

I signed up for a 7-day free trial in October 2025 and never actively used the platform. Shortly after, I received official emails from AdCreative.ai stating "Your account is about to be deleted" due to a failed payment. I naturally assumed the service was terminated.
What I didn't know was that AdCreative.ai was simultaneously retrying my card and successfully charging $249.00 per month — without ever sending a single payment success notification. Their own terms state they don't send email receipts, so there was no way for me to know charges were going through.
Most troublingly, in December 2025 they charged my card TWICE within 7 days ($249 on Dec 12 and $249 on Dec 19) — which is not consistent with any normal monthly subscription cycle.
When I contacted support, they refused a full refund, citing their B2B terms and a "7-day refund policy." They offered only a partial refund plus free service credits for a platform I will never use.
I have since filed a formal dispute with my bank (Chase) for 4 months of charges, and submitted a complaint to the FTC documenting their billing practices.
If you are considering AdCreative.ai: be aware that their system will tell you your account is being deleted while continuing to charge your card in the background, with no success notifications and no way to know you are still being billed.

Refund approved but never processed.
My refund was officially approved by their support team weeks ago. First, they promised it would be completed within 2 weeks. After that deadline passed, they gave a second deadline (first week of April). That deadline also passed.
Since then, I have only received apologies and excuses, but no refund and no clear resolution.
Very disappointing experience. Be careful if you expect customer support to honor approved refunds in a timely manner.

I tried the free trial and then cancelled my account. 3 days later I have charge for over $500. Reached out to their support and had to haggle them to agree to refund me. It’s been over a month now and no refund. They are fraudsters. I would not recommend to use this fugazi software.

Bad nightmare experience they offered me a trial offer a few days before the deadline I canceled the subscription because the platform was not to my liking and they subtracted €721 because they charged me the costs anyway for two months I had to block the card

I’m updating my review after everything that happened.
The product itself (Ad Creative AI) is genuinely great — it does what it promises and can be really powerful for ads.
However, the business model around billing is questionable. Being automatically charged right after the trial without clear friction feels shady.
I tried resolving this through support for almost 3 weeks via email and got nowhere.
It wasn’t until I contacted my bank for a chargeback that I finally got a reaction. After posting a public review here, things suddenly moved fast — I got my refund within 24 hours.
Big thanks to Aoife who actually stepped in and solved the issue professionally.
My advice to others:
If you run into problems, make it public. That’s when things get handled.
Great tool — but the billing experience needs serious improvement.

Have been charged after my trial ended for an amount of $400,-. After contacting customer support immediately on the 11th of march i got offered a refund. 6 weeks later i am still waiting for this refund.
Contacted support multiple times and the only answer i get is that my refund is approved and only needs to be processed by billing, which can take up to 10 business days.

I canceled my subscription, yet I was still charged again. When I tried to cancel, the cancellation button had disappeared from the website. Support then gave me contradictory explanations about my account history and billing, without providing proper proof. This is not just bad customer service, it destroys trust. Be very careful before giving them your card details.

Refund takes over a month. A refund has been confirmed by the company but it has been a month and they tell me it is still processsing. Absolutely ridiculous.

I did a trial years ago and they've charged me $3000+ since. They said they would notify me but there are no emails, nothing in spam or anything.
I've never used the app, nor logged in since then.
This is clearly the way they make the majority of their money and are completely unhuman when it comes to common sense and refunds.

Intentionally misleading subscriptions and overhyped product that creates c grade content. Do not bother trying it and if you do be willing to listen to sales staff tell you their terms are fair and not misleading. They agreed to refund me but after reminding them every couple of weeks they reply with ai generated responses and after months still don’t bother processing the refund. Untrustworthy company.

-1 Signed up for trial, I signed up for a trial with the written stated pretense I would get alerted before a charge. The trial ended and was auto billed $339 which I did not agree to! I immediately went to chat and the AI chatbot stated I would get help in 2 minutes. I request a refund immediately. There was no one even after 10 minutes. I then went to delete my card and found you are unable to. I found an email, attached the invoice, and requested a refund, cancel my membership, and card removal. At the time of writing I have not heard from them and am waiting for my refund and card removal.

A member of the team reached out via email and confirmed my card was removed, and a refund initiated. The refund was completed within 2 days. My only recommendation is their UI, ai chatbot, and platform automations need work to prevent these sorts of issues in the future. I changed my review from - 1 to a 3 due to the quick refund and response.
