This site is partly free, but it's anything but a proper gay dating platform
The community is full of bots, scammers and drug addicts. If you can afford a paid service AFGay.com
will definitely be a much better choice. You know what you pay for and you get what you pay for. Ok, let it be online entertainment, but it will definitely be a high quality time with a truly sexy-looking man who has the desire, knowledge and skills to make me happy. What you can get on Adam4 Adam is drama, games, negative emotions, mental discouragement and surely you can meet many scammers who are desperate to get your money.
Total waste of time and effort
Total waste of time and effort. All they are concerned about is money. How many adds can we shove into peoples faces and make bank on it? And the so called people that are on the site seems to be disinterested or just strait up block you once you answer the question, what do you do for a living, and they see no way to scam you out of money from that. Shallow, gold digging trash!
MAJOR SECURITY issues!!
MAJOR SECURITY issues!!! I question their practices of openly allowing scammers to flood their site just to keep their user counts up for their investors. When they are notified of it, YOU get suspended and the scam account is untouched. Is this ok with any of you?
I used A4A’s website back in the mid 2000’s and the platform’s design has NEVER been upgraded. It is exactly the same as it was 20 years ago. Primitive as hell.
As far as the Users go… there are very limited real users. The rest are all LONGHAUL scammers meaning they are trained to get you through the long haul and will do anything to retain you until they get what they want from you.
Example: Someone tried to tell me they were the Prince of Dubai, backed it up with photos, all the press on him, social media, and then he video called me as a way to try and be “forward” in hopes I’d believe him.
1st photo was different than the rest. Close but definitely not him. Video also didn’t look like picture 1- 25 and it was blurry. He knew the birthday of the real Prince’s 3 yo son and tried to convince me to send him a bday present of an Apple gift card.
Keep in mind, I’ve researched “Dubai Prince Scam” probably 20 minutes after we started talking. I printed out the whole scams operations… then highlighted what was already done to “prove” his authenticity. Didn’t let him know I was literally casing him and documenting everything.
Every single thing on the printout was highlighted by the time I turned him in. The Iran War even broke out, Dubai was hit… so was Abu Dhabi… and the Ministry of Defense (HIM) made a statement. Asked him what was going on there and used his statement as a “hey I heard that…” and he had NO IDEA. Hahaha.
This long haul was 3 days. It was reported on the 4th day with evidence submitted not only to them… but the police (my fatal mistake) and told A4A who was copied on it (even stupider) Within 10 minutes my account was deleted. When I tried to reopen under any email address even new gmail ones… I was always denied.
So what does all of it lend itself to? A4A knows of this activity, knows we are doing the work they need to be doing, then “getting rid of the problem” which is US.
Does A4A sponsor our gay military? Because 8 out of 10 people who DM’d me during those 3 days all ended up a military guy “stationed overseas in “XXXX” on a peacekeeping mission.”
I would delete all personal info before deleting the account then the app. Keep in mind the competition and the alternatives. Grindr is just as tainted. Scruff is getting there. Archer, Hinge and Olive do not seem to have any security issues and if so, very minimal. All three of these apps are congruent to A4A so I hope you all make the jump for your security’s and safety. One of us if not more will fall for one of these long haulers and that’s one too many TBH.

Site is filled with scammers! They suspended my account for no reason, when I contacted them they said it was done to verify me!?? Then proceeded to ask for my driver's license! No way, they have bad reviews and they are known all over the internet for having lack of security. Do not send sensitive information. This app should be reported. Even their customer "support" is scam!
You now have to pay to view a profile
Now have to pay if you want to check out a profile. Every profile asks for a gift. Not worth it!!!

Full of Fake profiles and teasers. Total waste of time even making a profile. Don't bother. They obviously do not monitor the traffic of fakes and scammers,
New Send A Gift Feature
They now embrace the scammers and gamers with their new feature Send A Gift. How pathetic.
I've been an off and on member since…
I've been an off and on member since it's inception in 2003, and it's always been a little difficult but it's been refreshing because there weren't so many ads if any any have everything compartmentalized and they have a gift store. But until recently I started to think that maybe it was bought out by the people that run Grindr or they took a page out of Grindr's playbook. If you have ever been on Grindr you know what I'm talking about. Every time you want to do an action open an email send an email go to a different section search your profile you're hit with an ad where you have to either wait for it to play through or wait for the little x to come up so you can click on that and wait for the next Little x to come up so you can click on that and wait for the next Little x so you can click out that and close the ad very very tedious. Now it's the same thing on Adam4Adam every time you go to do it certain action click a page send an email read an email you're hit with an ad same format you have to wait for it to play out or wait in stages for the sections to play out so you can pick the little x, but if you click too soon you're taking to the Play store and you got to back out of that get back to the page wait for that little page to play out click the x and wait for the next page to go click on the x wait for the third page to load and click on the x to go back to what you were doing sending an email or chatting with somebody and half the time the other person's waiting for you to respond but you're having to watch an ad and click on X's and the other person waiting got ticked off waiting so long thought you were ignoring them and either blocked you or you know won't respond anymore. Adam4Adam used to be refreshing it was old school but it was refreshing because they weren't or didn't seem to be striving to make as much money as they could so I may just end up after some 22 years of off and on membership getting rid of Adam4Adam for good and if you want to try it I suggest giving it a couple days then you'll delete it.
Filled with scammers
Years ago, this used to feel like a safe space. Now, it’s filled with scammers and A4A does nothing about them. You can usually see the signs but scammers are getting more clever… and A4A does not have a (great) screening process. Require people to verify themselves, make it harder to open accounts, require email and don’t allow the same email to register if they’ve been banned. Simple things can easily be done to make this decent.
I recently went back on after many years off of it and it has only gotten worse. They don’t care about the scammers. If they get their advertising money, they’re happy.
Administration rarely deals with the…
Administration rarely deals with the scammers, extortionists, prostitites, drug dealers and other assorted criminals. If they suspended all those accounts it would show how few real users there are. They are ok with men being victimized, men seeking sex with animals and they will not remove pedophiles. The FBI should investigate.
If I could give this app a zero
If I could give this app a zero, I would. Every single person that I spoke to on there seemed too good to be true-and they were. I was asked for gift cards, gas cards, to invest in crypto, led on, you name it. The app is an absolute cess pit of scammers. Be very, very careful on this app.
New member
New member, been active on this site about 6 weeks. While messaging other members & chatting, the site suddenly suspended my account. No explanation, no warning. I emailed them asking, "what the-?". They claimed that their website alerted them that I am "spam". I said that I was speaking with several people in ordinary messages and asked them to reinstate my account since I never violated any guidelines or rules. Their response was to demand that I submit a copy of government-issue full face photo ID. WTF? Is this site the IRS or Secret Service or something? Who in their right mind is going to mail that confidential information over the internet to a non-secure site? Before they suspended my account, I noticed that their site showed members located 15 minutes away from me as being 1600 miles away, and other members who are 5 states away as being 1000 ft from me. VERY sketchy site. Some members said that the site restricts your ability to see any other members' photos in their profile if you use any device other than a desktop or laptop. Don't waste your time, unless you want to suddenly be told to send them your official photo ID or they'll suspend your account.
Scammer land
It’s all been said by previous reviewers- I’m just adding to the numbers. In the last 2 weeks I’ve been hit up by 5 scammers. Some of them are smooth talkers but they always give themselves away by inconsistencies in their stories, talking about their short term investments, etc. Recently I caught someone out by using a reverse photo search- presenting someone else’s photo as his own. A4A is a cesspit where the scammers are targeting guys who look like they might be an easy mark. It pays to be a bit paranoid.

This platform has become a toxic contaminated mess . It’s easy to pick pot the scammers cause 99 %are the ones looking for love and long term growth yeah right no gay guy i ever said that . They pics are of some hot model that tries to convince you they are in the same city if you ask specifics they immediately know your aware and they stop responding . The worst part of this entire scam. Is the fact that A4A is doing nothing to put a stop to it. I would be willing to pay a monthly fee if it chased the bad apples away. I’m glad to see more people are stepping up and voicing there experiences and calling out A4A for not doing more . I’ve finally gave up and started using other platforms. I think A4A can sense the end of the platform is approaching
XXX main profile pictures
XXX main profile pictures ( HardFriction ) , you report , gets nowhere , except for "Rizzo" whomever he is , emailing you wanting more information , this site many years ago was useful to meet descent people , now all that's there are the same people in the same black box , looking for drugs , money , and attempting to scam you , the pro ads are prostitutes who call themselves masseurs but in their profile says they are "top" , I don't understand the google me name thing when a "new" member says "google this name " , the site should not be on an mobile app . I think because they are based out of Canada , the USA laws supersede them ... NOT ! and BTW - not a single soul in my location is looking for anything serious , but yet their profile says they are .
There are a lot of scammers
There are a lot of scammers, impersonators, and a host of other unsavory people there. I just had a recent encounter that goes by the username of "Lusciousliam". He had someone call my phone claiming to be the sheriffs office and trying to extort me for $4,200.00. Do not fall victim to it. It is a scam. I called the Sheriff's Department and confirmed that this was a scam. The users need to undergo a identity verification before being allowed on the platform. The age verification with ID Challenge, selfie verification should get rid of the underage people who should not be here. This has the potential to lead up to sex crimes because minors are roaming the platform claiming to be of age when in all actuality they are not. A4A needs to do a better job policing these things.
Full of Scammers
I would not recommend this site to any man in their 60's. Just about every man on this site were either moocher, or scammers targeting older men. I have one last attempt but not holding out any hope. If only their was a way for them to properly screen those put their profiles on there.
