The most important characteristic
For me the most important characteristic of a broker is the trading platform.
I am sure that the trading platform used by the trader determines his profits.
Yes, the trading conditions are also important. And ActivTrades has great ones. But if they had another platform I wouldn't have opened an account here.

Registration process
Knowing that this is big and serious platform, I thought there was going to be a ton of paperwork and boring bureacracy like red-tape for registration completion. It sure was not like that, I was able to get a live account only providing the ID and a recent utility bill, the checks were done real quick and my account got approved. So good when people know how to get things done in a way that is fast and comfortable for you. I now mind my own business and portfolio.

I like the fact
I like the fact, that this broker also thinks and cares about peoples needs with different geographical, cultural and religious background.
They know abotu the needs of people of various religions. I just checked the features of the islamic account, and it really fits with the necessary requirements. Zero rollover interest, zero rollover commission.
I don't know much further about it but that is enough for me at the moment to sign up for it.

Activtrade scam
I am professional trader. I have an account since months with Activtrades FCA entity. On 7 February 2023 they closed my account and cancelled all profits I made. They wrote me they closed my account because they believe I violated clause 9.14 and for that reason they cancelled arbitrarely all my profits made in weeks and weeks of trade. This is something that does not make any sense. In order to be as much transparent as I can below my accounts credentials that everybody can check and see if I really did any "unfair" trade.

Removed all profits from 2-3 months trading. Fraud company stay away
I had been trading with Activtrades Global since November 22 and Activtrades UK since December. Over a period of 2-3 months, I had made a profit of $5446 USD and $1355 USD respectively at each firm. I had opened Activtrades UK due to investing more and being protected by FSCS in case of insolvency.
Without warning Activtrades in the past week put slippage on all of my trades. I immediately noticed this and pulled back my risk assessment of trading there.
5 Minutes after Non-Farm Payrolls was released I received a notice of termination from both companies and that Activtrades was removing all my trades for the past 2-3 months from both firms. It's almost as if they were expecting me to trade NFP with the increased slippage they had put on my account to try to get me to lose, as soon as this did not happen, they terminated my account and deleted all my profits.
I have never had such a firm that is supposedly reputable and regulated act in such a manner. They have conducted fraud against me. If they had issues with any of my trades they should have been addressed by them immediately not 2-3 months after they had been filled.
I will be pursuing this matter with the UK financial ombudsmen and the FCA UK.

I am a devoted MT4 user. And it’s great that this broker provides it as one of its trading platforms.
However I discovered lately that I can’t trade some instruments on MT4. Now that’s a pity!

As you mentioned it correctly, there are some differences in asset selection between our trading platforms.
Unfortunately, MT4 has the least options when it comes to tradable instruments. It gives access to Forex, Metals, Indices, Fixed Incomes and Commodities.
Whereas MT5 and ActivTrader have also Shares, ETFs and Cryptocurrencies as tradable.

Well... If we will judge a book by a cover, then this is a perfect broker as it offers lots of information on the website and provides clients with everything.
However, if we will dig up a bit deeper, we will found out many smart tools aren't available for MetaTrader 5 and ActivTrader platform.
Maybe, it's not bad, there are certainly some traders who find it convenient... BUT! overall - broker doesn't have crucial disadvantages

Unfortunately, technological peculiarities affect Smart Tools compatibility with Metatrader 5. In fact, it is a tiny percentage of them. Moreover, you can use each one of them via Metatrader 4.
ActivTrader is designed a little bit differently. It is a browser-based platform and is made in collaboration with TradingView. It can help clients to manage their positions via a standard PC or laptop.
