IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD

I’m re-writing this review a year later because I’ve come back and my initial one is gone but I want to make sure EVERYONE knows how awful this company is.

My disabled mother used this ATROCIOUS company in 2021 to convert our toilet and bathroom into a wet room but with the amount of issues we’ve had, it would have been better for her to struggle in and out of the bath.

The first issue we encountered was between 4 and 6 months after the bathroom was completed. The shower broke and the sink came away from the wall. We adhered to the aftercare instructions so never placed any weight on the sink etc. so could not believe when the sealant started peeling resulting in the sink becoming detached. The sealant itself was done very messy, not at the standard of a professional. I can confirm that a contractor came out to remedy both the shower and the sink, and at the time of his visit, even he commented that the workmanship was not done to the best standard. Upon closer inspection, the actual work of the bathroom was not done as neat as it could have been so I do not know how it passed its post-inspection.

The second issue we had was roughly a year and a half after the completion, where the pump stopped working completely. Again, we could not believe that not long after installing the bathroom, something else became faulty. It was reported many times to Accessibility Bathrooms, but we never seemed to properly get a confirmation of when this would be fixed. For about 2-3 months we could not shower as the drain would fill and flood the bathroom as the pump was not filtering out water. Once Accessibility Bathrooms finally appointed a contractor who came to see the problem, we were then quoted £2000 to install a new pump which I thought was absolutely ludicrous! After spending £10,000 just a year and a half prior, £2000 was an obscene amount of money. The only thing Accessibility Bathrooms were prepared to do (and did) was send a fresh pump for us to install ourselves. This was never installed however as our original pump came back to life before we could get an engineer to fit it.

I thought those issues were the last of our problems, but in March 2024, we had a big leak which affectrf our downstairs neighbour. After an appointment on 01/03/2024, a plumber confirmed what a poor job was done of the bathroom. He had to remove some of the tiling on the walls to access the waste pipe in the brick work and could not believe his findings. One of the lead pipes were bent and did not even have a cap on it. The plumber informed that the whole pipe work was done terribly and thought that this bathroom wasn’t almost 3 years old, but rather 15! With how the pipes were bent and without caps, water from the pump has been gushing out and flooding out my neighbour downstairs whenever we had a shower. It seems that because it was like this for so long, a blockage has somehow happened which has caused this leak for roughly one week. This is not the only leak issue we have faced. Due to the poor levelling, the water would run down to the entrance to the wetroom, soak into the doorway and leak down to the neighbour. This could have been prevented if a piece of skirting etc. was installed, but this was never done.

It is now Sept 2025 and the second pump is broken, a piece of our ceiling is broken as their CHEAP shower rail has come away from it and honestly, we’re so exhausted with this.

Accessibility Bathrooms should be ashamed of themselves and I will not rest until they are shut down!!!

£6,584 deposit taken and the company has vanished!

WARNING
This company took a deposit from my 92 year old Mother in May. A surveyor/fitter subsequently visited and that is the last we have heard from them.
Today the surveyor contacted me to see if the bathroom had been fitted. It appears there are numerous customers known to him who have paid their deposit and can no longer contact the company. Evidently their offices at 2pm one day recently were found to be closed with no evidence of anyone working there.

Companies House show them as still operating, but apparently it can take several weeks for this to be updated in the case of a company ceasing to trade.

A Menace to the Elderly - DO NOT USE THIS FIRM

A Menace to the Elderly

We would like to add our voices to the other complaints on this page - do not use this firm!

We booked them to install a W.C., basin and cupboard units in our small downstairs toilet, employing a local tiler that we already knew to install the wall and floor tiles for the project. It is to be noted that the surveyor Steve Hind on his initial visit did not object to us using our own tiler. The problems with them started almost immediately.

The first issue was the electrician who failed to install the wiring necessary for a wall mounted mirror light, which should have been done prior to the room being tiled, and instead put the wire from the unit into an ugly plastic conduit running diagonally across the outside of tiles above the mirror after the tiling was complete. When questioned about this the electrician made the ridiculous claim that the tiler had prevented him from going into the room to do this before the tiling took place. The notion that this had happened was invented after the complaint was made about the conduit - the electrician said nothing about this fictional incident at the time - and luckily our tiler was able to prove with text exchanges between him and the fitter that the electrician was actually lying about this, and in fact the tiler had confirmed with the electrician that he was finished in the room before starting the wall tiling - so that's lie number one.

The second issue was with their fitter Nick who was supposed to install a towel rail and toilet roll holder to the tiled walls. After his visit we saw that the tiles onto which he was installing the fittings were damaged, with the glaze cracked all along the tiles he had drilled into. His excuse was that they were 'already like that' (if they were already like that why didn't he point it out before he drilled into them)? Luckily our tiler was again able to prove this as false, this time by providing photos of the tiles in perfect condition at the time he had installed them. As soon as Darren realised there was proof it was a lie he immediately changed his tune and offered to pay to get them replaced, but only after the lie was found out - lie number two.

Then came the installation of the toilet. Soon we had problems with the unit not flushing properly, it would stay stuck in the flush mode and continue refilling indefinitely, and the only way to stop it was to remove the lid and stop it manually. The fitter returned to look at the issue and reported back to Darren. Can you guess the excuse for this? - he blamed the tiler again. This time he said that there was tiling debris inside the cistern that had damaged the mechanism. He sent us a photo of what he claimed was the tiling debris in the cistern which roused our suspicions as it didn't look like tile debris at all, in fact it consisted entirely of what looked like paint flakes. Further investigation revealed that this is apparently flakes from a glaze used to finish the cistern and not tiling debris at all - so lie number three.

Darren also claimed that because we had to open the lid to stop it flushing (an emergency) we had now 'tampered' with it, so Accessibility Bathrooms were now exonerated from all responsibility for it - how convenient.

As our tiler said; dealing with these people has been like dealing with children, all their lies are so poorly thought out and easily proven false - it would have been so much easier for them to have just fixed the problems they caused or give us some kind of refund, but instead they spent all their energy causing us great stress with these endless and frankly moronic fabrications.

Darren's stock reply to all the 1 out of 5 scores his company has received here tends to be along the lines of 'we're deeply saddened that you've given us a 1 out of 5 review', rather than 'we're deeply sorry that we have caused you so much stress and anguish and we'll do everything necessary to make this situation right'.

That's why you have such terrible reviews here Darren, that and the fact that you are truly terrible people. It's our belief that you focus on working exclusively with the elderly and disabled because you see them as 'easy prey'.

Note that Darren's best response to our complaints here is just to repeat one of his lies again. To be clear - there was absolutely no tiling debris inside our cistern nor did the photo he sent us show any tiling debris; he blames our tiler for his defective goods while simultaneously claiming that he's not blaming anyone.

Apart from that pathetic response you'll note that he has absolutely no answer for any of the other issues we've complained about, so once again we urge you not to use these con men.

They have left us with leaking cistern and hissing noise. We're currently taking further action regarding this matter and will update this page with the outcome.

Dear Gulshan,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our service, and we take all feedback seriously to continually improve our processes.

We would like to address the points you’ve raised, as we believe there are some key misunderstandings regarding the installation and subsequent issues.

Firstly, we stand by the quality of the products and services we provided, as everything was supplied and fitted in line with the agreed contract. After installation, there were no issues reported for six months, which is a testament to the integrity of the work carried out by our team at the time. We were confident that everything was completed to a high standard and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

The issue with the toilet arose some time after the installation when your own tiler returned to complete additional tiling. It was at this point that problems with the flushing mechanism were first reported to us. When we returned to assess the situation, we discovered tiling debris inside the cistern, which had clearly impacted the flushing mechanism. Unfortunately, as a result of this external interference, the warranty on the toilet installation has been invalidated, as per the terms and conditions provided to all of our clients. This is a prime reason why we always stress for ourselves to carry out all the renovation works within the bathroom for the same project. That way we can control and ensure that the full install proceeds as planned.

Regarding the other points raised, we regret any confusion or miscommunication that may have occurred. We would like to assure you that any claims made by our team were based on our professional assessments of the situation at the time, and we have no intention of shifting blame or avoiding responsibility. Our primary goal is always to resolve issues in a fair and timely manner.

However, we must point out that the ongoing changes and multiple edits to your review are making it difficult to address the situation effectively. We cannot keep going around in circles, as the details continue to shift. The issue at hand is not a result of our work or any failure on our part, but rather external factors that have impacted the installation.

Once again, we apologise for any distress caused and wish you the best moving forward.

THIS UPDATE IS FINAL AS THE REVIEWER KEEPS CONTINOUSLY CHANGING THEIR REVIEW.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM

On 19 September 2023 I completed an order for a new wetroom and access. I paid a 50% deposit.Nothing had happened by January so after many phone calls an installation date was made and on Monday March 4th 2024 the installation began (but not before they insisted on complete payment or they would not start, like an idiot I paid). Well the fitters were ok but soon problems began. The cistern shattered on installation and damaged cupboards and plinths were delivered twice.
After 'completion' at the end of June! the contract they had forcibly enacted to get paid I was expecting a sign of of the work. It never happened! The new shower would only work if you turned on the sink tap. I was told this was my fault as they supplied a unit for non pumped water and it needed a different one. This despite the order of work clearly stated pressured water and they had procured and fitted the unit. I assumed that they knew what they were doing as I am not a plumber. They made me pay for another by the simple expedient of refusing to fix it. Despite my wife being immobile due to MS and this was the only accessible shower in the house. I paid another £400 ish pounds and someone turned up to fit it although he didn't know that was required and had no tools. He was a good man and managed with some random tools from his car.
The cupboard doors are not silent closers (well two are but not the other), the bathroom mirror would not fit at first as they had wrongly measured the space forgetting they were going to clad both walls and so make the space less. Then fitter managed to doctor the units each side of it and fit it but how I would ever move it or replace the back lights I dont know. |The window recesses have been fitted with a different colour of wall covering and the door frame finished with unplaned wood.
All these issues I expected to bring up on sign off with the form they helpfully gave me on order!
This was not a small or cheap job for a lady who is wheelchair bound and needs lifting Etc.
DO NOT USE THIS FIRM but if you must DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR PAYMENT TERMS or you will have no power in the relationship.
The firm's rely sums up why the title of the is DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.
They have replied that it was my fault for choosing non standard cupboards. Well I chose them from the brochure they supplied and they were standard sizes.
It seems that this caused their surveyor to be unable to measure properly. It was a mistake! Even the fitter knew that he had failed to allow or the wall covering!

They say the shower was replaced under warranty....it wasn't! I paid for the unit which replaced the one they specified, procured and fitted which did not work.

So although I ordered what I wanted from the catalogue they supplied expecting their expertise to be able to fit their order I was wrong.
What is the real issue is that they enforced their 'contract' for full payment before the work had started knowing that a disabled person needs an accessible shower and we had already been waiting 6 months not 5 to 8 weeks as promised. The customer then has no power in the relationship as shown when they forced me to purchase a replacement shower unit.
Just to rub salt in the wounds the 'contract' suggests a sign off by the surveyor and a form is supplied at the outset to be completed when the work is done.
The 'contract' is so binding that I am still waiting.

I notice they ignore the wrong colours, unplaned wood and lack of soft closers which I had assumed would be addressed on sign off.

Even now they suggest that this is all my fault!

Dear Mr Fox, we are very sorry that you have left us a 1-star review.

As advised to you throughout the process, the delay with your installation and the main cause of the bulk of the issues was due to the fact that you had chosen a very specific range of bathroom furniture that was not ours. This was a one-off special order that we made for you. Unfortunately, this then put us in the hands of the manufacturer. This also caused some of the other issues you have reported such as the measurements of the units being out etc.

We always try to offer our customers what they want as its their bathroom that they trust us to deliver, but we cannot be held liable or responsible for products which you have chosen yourself that are not ours.
This is why we no longer offer to order or fit products outside of our own trusted range.

We do apologise that the shower was faulty, but this was already replaced for you under our warranty. Unfortunately, things can sometimes go wrong, but we always strive to put these right as swiftly as we possibly can.

We wish you the best going forward, but please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any issues in the future.

Poor customer support - Bad Installation

Bathroom installation for my parents had a few issues, in summary;
-Isolation valve for shower installed under floor boards, and then tiled over. We're unable to isolate the shower because of this.
- Shower tray not installed flat, leading to bathroom flooding.
- A few years after installation, the shower mixer stopped working. Despite being in warranty, this was limited to the mixer only (from manufacture) and not the installion. They didn't fix the issue.
- They only were willing to send a replacement mixer unit AFTER we left a review on TrustPilot!
-After some emailing, they did send a replacement part but it arrived very late.

Dear Mr Young, we are deeply saddened to discover that you felt the need to leave us a 1-star review.

For clarity, the bathroom warranty had since expired when you reported the issue with the shower. Unfortunately, the manufacturers had since discontinued that specific shower model.

Rather than do nothing and leave you to purchase a new shower unit yourself, we decided to send you one of ours, completely free of charge, as a goodwill gesture. Which your mum (our customer) was more than happy with, so we are rather bemused at your review as we have given you a brand new, free shower, out of warranty.

Start to finish excellence …

From start to finish the process was great. Darren (the Boss !) visited the house to discuss our requirements and to talk us through the whole bathroom refurbishment process and had loads of samples of tile and flooring for us to chose from. He explained the how the refitting would work and the timescale. No hard sell completely honest and up front. The fitter was called Nick and he deserves a big shout out of thanks as he worked like a Trooper none stop brilliant 'thank you Nick' and very tidy and polite. My Mum thought he was great ! So if you are thinking of having some modifications done to your bathroom to make it more accessible for your needs please give Darren and team from Accessibility Bathrooms a call. We are certainly thrilled with the transformation of our very tired peach bathroom into a stunning marble effect grey/white show stopping bathroom with elegant walk in Bath, thanks to Darren, Nick and Team.

Extremely poor experience

Do not use this company. Especially do not trust anything that Darren, the Operations Manager tells you. He is very jovial and full of bonhomie whilst closing his sale. After that it’s incompetence, obfuscation, and dishonesty. In a supposedly accessible bathroom, we were provided with a corner vanity unit so small it was unusable. When we complained it wasn’t right he tried to charge us £600 for a replacement. We note that another reviewer mentions the same issue, we understand the basin supplied to us was a restock, perhaps the same one? After much argument and stress, the company are fitting a new one.
We were supplied with the wrong toilets, The operations manager initially claimed they were the right ones and then blamed the suppliers. When both his fitter and technical surveyor said they were the wrong toilets he tried to charge us a further £200. The shower door has proved to be extremely awkward to manoeuvre, Darren insisted it was fine and we just needed more demos. He refused to share the details of the order with suppliers so we could seek their advice. We felt that if 4 adults, including his technical inspector, need multiple demos to close a shower door, the issue is with the product, not the customer.
The installation was estimated at 5 days, but because of Darren’s mistakes and attempts to claw back costs whilst denying any fault, it has taken nearly a month and is still not quite complete.
He has repeatedly refused to meet us on site to discuss our problems, despite his assertion in an early email that he would ‘personally oversee the project management side of the installation’ so that we would be ‘very well looked after’. He uses patronising language (your good lady wife) and attempts to confuse you over technicalities. But he’s a “close personal friend” of the Managing Director, as mentioned on more than one occasion, when we asked about escalation of the issue, and suggested that any complaints would be returned to him to manage.
Other staff at the company, particularly Nick who installed the bathroom and Michael the surveyor are experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and supportive but Darren ignored their comments on the unsuitability of some products and overruled their concerns.
If you are looking for a company who will understand your accessible needs and provide suitable options for you to choose from so your needs are adequately met, choose another company.

Dear Mr Stonehouse, we are deeply saddened and surprised at your review. Whilst we do always value our customers feedback, good and bad, we do feel the need to share our side of this experience.

Looking through our records, we can see that from the initial design visit that you originally requested for us to quote you for a corner vanity unit. We quote for products and services that our clients request. This is also specifically noted on the contract paperwork including the written quotation and it is clearly marked on the drawing layout plan, which shows for a corner unit to be supplied and where you can also see the size of the proposed unit.

Darren has also given you complimentary upgrades on products and waived the charges on many others for you with the aim of providing you with the bathroom that you wanted. Then, following the original design visit, our surveyor then takes over and runs through the plans again including confirming what products / colour choices etc. are required. The survey visit is another opportunity for you to make any changes or adjustments to the works before it begins.

You only reported that you were not happy with the corner unit after it was installed, towards the end of the installation. At which point you were advised that a different replacement unit would need to be paid for as it was different to what was originally requested and on the contract. Even though this was clearly marked on all of the paperwork and confirmed at the survey visit, Darren has since had this replaced for you, to a different larger unit, free of charge, as a goodwill gesture from ourselves, which you confirmed that you are now happy with.

With regards to the toilets, we can also confirm that you have been supplied and fitted with two comfort height high rise toilets, not the standard toilets, which was again as per the contract. We do apologise that whilst the installation was taking place, you advised us via email that you had then found another company's toilet installed whilst visiting a commercial premises and were hoping that we would install the same one. As advised at the time, we dont offer every single product available on the market, we only use our own range that are specifically approved by our manufacturers / suppliers. We did however offer to source this for you at an additional cost to try and give you what you wanted, but this offer was also declined. The installation did take longer than originally planned, but part of this was also due to yourself asking Nick not to fit the the original toilets as you were wanting these changed. But then you changed your mind again and decided to keep them, so we then arranged for another return visit to fit the original toilets.

We feel that we have gone above and beyond here to ensure that you have the bathrooms that you wanted, even making last minute adjustments at your request, and changing the choice of flooring, again at our own cost.

We do however wish you the best moving forward, but if you do have any concerns in the future, please feel free to reach out to us.

Dear Mr Banks, we are deeply saddened to discover that you have left us a 2-star review. Unfortunately, once the work is out of warranty with ourselves, a call-out charge may apply dependant upon the situation.

All of our customers are advised of the warranties for the bathroom products from the beginning, with each customer also being left a laminated copy of this along with some aftercare information and advice.

After checking our records, I can see that we have been out to you previously on more than one occasion to address any and all concerns that you have raised. None of which had been to do with the toilet, which has worked perfectly since the installation and the following inspection, which was over a year ago.

We do sincerely apologise that you are having this issue now, but its beyond our control due to the amount of time that has passed since the original installation. We have offered to attend, but as its now been so long, a call-out fee would apply in this instance. Alternatively, you could have a third party plumber attend to rectify this issue for you.

Again, we are very sorry that you've had this issue and for leaving us this negative review. But, we hope that you continue to enjoy the bathroom for many years to come.

Hi Deborah,

We are very disappointed that you have felt the need to leave us a 1-star review here. We have done absolutely everything that we possibly could for you to ensure that you got the bathroom that you deserved. This even included working with the local housing authority on your behalf. And after jumping through all of the hoops and all of the red tape, we finally got you the permission you needed so that you could have the work done. The only potential issue that we can see is that additional work was needed during the installation, where by a waste pump was required. However, you were advised of this potential issue at the survey stage, before the work had started, and that this wasn't included within the original quotation. But we then gave you the option of either having us to do this work, or you could draft in someone else to complete this part. And you still chose us.
