Lovely items, good quality but customer service could be a little better

After being able to resolve some initial, communication issues between myself and Absoluteco, I feel it is only fair I update my feedback to reflect current state of the situation. Spending over £300 on 3 lights I expected good quality items, which they absolutely are however as one of them came in damaged, I reached out to Absoluteco for help in resolving the issue. It took much longer than I anticipated but the issue is soon to be resolved (tracking number has been provided) and the new light is on its way to be delivered. Their items are genuinely beautiful and well made so would recommend it.
Note to customers: if you email Absoluteco and see no reply, check spam/junk inbox as some (NOT ALL) of their emails could be delivered there instead
Note to Absoluteco: taking initiative and reaching out to client/s via different means like mobile provided at the time of placing order would go a long way. I am not saying each and every one, but if you notice, there is an issue which isnt getting resolved, reach out. Cust. will appreciate it and probably wont even mind the long wait if they felt they have been looked after instead being forgotten/ potentially avoided (intentionally or not). Alternatively you could look at ways on how to avoid your emails going to recipients junk mail

However after looking at our email history it would seem that we have sent several emails requesting photos and a description of the issue/damage to your order all of which have gone unanswered.

The last email we sent was on the 2nd of June at 14:40 and again we did not receive a response. As I’m sure you will understand without the photos and information requested, we are unable to issue a replacement.

Please respond to our emails and we can have this issue resolved for you as quickly as possible.

If you could please check your junk folder and reply to the email with the requested information and images we will then be able to get this issue resolved for you as soon as possible.

LOST OVER £200 -INACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF LIGHTS BEWARE

As others have said do NOT use this company. Bought some lights which on the website were not accurately described as they did not show the bulb hanging down an inch below the bottom edge. Just looks ridiculous and no way of changing the bulb. Emailed several times as no phone number available. No reply- NOW LOST OVER £200. THIS COMPANY JUST WANTS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY WITH NO REGARD FOR ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE- DO NOT USE!!!!!

Received the lights, the following day we decided we wanted to return them. We’ve emailed a number of times but still no response. We are now out of our 14 day window and they still haven’t replied to our emails. No contact number anywhere. Very poor customer service.

Avoid!!

Avoid!!! The lights take forever to arrive which would just be about be okay but the arrived faulty. No matter how we tried we just could not get the light shades to line up so they didn’t look wonky. Very badly manufactured and apparently they go through quality checks before your receive them. To then have to really push for a refund is terrible. They don’t answer the phone , everything is by email. There are other lighting companies out there , that’s my advise.

We offer all of our customers 14 days to request a return/exchange, as your request was placed 6 weeks after your order was received it did not meet the terms and conditions of our returns policy, however we did later agree to your order being returned once you notified us that there was a fault with your order.

As you mentioned all of our products receive thorough quality check before leaving us and after receiving your returned items back to us they were re-checked again and no issues/faults were found with your order.

Poor Quality

Bought 2 Loft Wall lights. Looks wise the lights are great but that seems to be all you are paying for. Mine were really poorly made with dodgy threads, just as another review mentions. The wiring was also incorrectly routed and they were scratched. If we hadn't waited weeks for them I would have just returned them but I just wanted something on the wall.

Looked nice once they were up but after 3 weeks, bits have started falling off to reveal they were held on with double sided tape.

Also noticed only a 14 day returns window, given a lot of the products take double that to arrive I find that shocking.

I tried to leave a review on their website but it appears anything below 4 stars doesn't display.

**AVOID**

Very disappointed with the service from this company! Having waited much longer than usual for delivery, I decided not to keep the lights. After a busy couple of weeks, I messaged to ask how I could return only to be told that as it was outside of their 14 day policy, this was not possible. Admittedly, I was late in returning, one of the reasons being that I had assumed returns would be up to 28 days (I was within this) but explained my reasons for the delay. However, I was very surprised at the complete lack of understanding and flexibility from this company. I had barely taken the lights out of the box, they are still available at full price to order on their website but now the only option I have is to ebay these lights and lose money! Having purchased multiple items online during an extensive renovation over the last 13 months, I have never come across a company like it! That said, I will never order from or recommend this company ever!

A beautiful disaster

Light fitting was packaged beautifully but the threads on all the arms were knackered. I had to have 3 electricians look at it and eventually a solution was discovered using tin foil to hold it together. Finally got it up and….. two seconds later one of the bulbs went out. So disappointed given it was an expensive light. Plus I emailed customer service and was roundly ignored.

delivery

I am yet to hang the lights but I was really pleased with the delivery service. The lights arrived before the estimated 6 weeks and were packed really well to protect the shade. I also appreciated the emails that let me know my order hadn’t been forgotten about.

Gorgeous pendants

The pendants are gorgeous and we had a lot of compliments from guests!
Very good customer service, very quick at responding.
We definitely recommend!

Terrible customer service

Lights arrived and did not look anything like the online images.
Sent them back for a refund and have been waiting and chasing them but still no refund.
Would never used this company again!

Not the greatest experience

I had to wait over 9 weeks to receive my order (without any comms from the company advising me of delays from their original promise of 4-6 weeks). When finally received, both lights had faults in them (one had a hole in the glass, whilst the other had a huge crack in 2 places). Both were very well packaged and protected, so these faults appear to have been in place before the goods were despatched. I’m in the process of returning the goods and obtaining a refund. I appreciate this is my only order with the company (and I may have just been very unlucky) but the phrase ‘Caveat Emptor’ certainly springs to mind.
