I love receiving my Surprise Fiction box. I am really enjoying discovering new authors that I would never have picked for myself. I have then gone on to read other books by these authors. It's aways good to discover a new author. I would highly recommend ABOS.

Totally opaque and confusing communications. One minute you get an email saying packages are being prepared and dispatched, then they tell you the package won’t be dispatched until next month. Send them an email to find out why A package hasn’t arrived but it goes ignored. Very poor customer service, you can’t phone the company, if you want to actually speak to someone, they don’t provide a telephone number.

Absolutely loved my little box of horror stories, was delighted to see such a good selection of books, and such cute little goodies!! Actually use the tote bag to take things to work! Will definitely be buying again once I've finished the books in my first box. Customer service also was so kind, I was very happy with my experience overall. Thank you so much A Box Of Stories!

All the boxes I've had have been wonderful with great books. The first horror box was full of good stuff from a tote bag to some coffee and I'm loving the books. I've read one of them and I'm now half way through the 2nd and I'm so pleased with the box. If anyone is wondering about whether or not subscribe I'd say go for it you won't regret it.

I’ve subscribed to the horror box from A Box of Stories and so far I’ve loved it! I really appreciate the two tier option for individuals who like booked themed trinkets and then for people like me who just want the books. I’ve always felt so guilty in the past with book subscriptions that so much of the non book content has ended up wasted on me so a cheaper purely book option is a godsend. I love the range of horror sub genres currently on offer and I’m so excited to see what ends up in my next book. A great way to explore a new genre for me without all the stress of finding individual book recs.

Amazing subscription. Love the surprise of opening the box and seeing new titles I've not heard of. It has allowed me to read books that I wouldn't have chosen myself. Always look forward to my next delivery.

Been a customer of Abos for a while now, love the surprise I get each month when my books come and I've never had any issues.

I regularly subscribe to a 2 book subscription every 3 months and also take advantage of their themed months whether it be Christmas, Halloween etc It’s such a great idea, we get to save books that would otherwise be thrown away and we get to know new authors that we may not have heard of before. I look forward to seeing what great books I get.

I can’t rate this company highly enough! A fantastic selection every time that has now created a wonderful and fulfilling routine every night. Each author is just exceptional and just when you think you won’t get a better book they just keep coming. I chose a mixed box and the guys do what they do best. Thank you for all you do!

I thoroughly enjoy receiving my books every month or so. It’s great reading books I might never have chosen myself, and the Summer, Hallowe’en and Christmas boxes are great!

My tip is to always buy the 4 book box. This way if you get one book you don't fancy, you have three more you do. That is the danger that you may find one that does not satisfy you but there are going to be a lot more that you love and would never have even thought of loving. Also perfect for those who do not live in an area with a large chain bookstore, for those who love to be surprised and don't mind expanding their mind. They are beyond reasonably priced and with themed boxes throughout the year and the ability to refine the genres, along with the fact these books are "rescued" (brand new but may have ended up in landfill) and perfect for donating to charities and free libraries. I have never had an issue with them that could not be resolved, there is a great Facebook page for us to swap and share reviews or thoughts or even just show a picture of the box you got. But for value and a higher hit rate, choose the 4 book boxes, if you are unsure get 2, if you are really scared choose the more curated route where you can choose the genre of each book. Without ABOS I would have never read "Earthlings" a very divisive Japanese book with its glow in the dark cover nor would I have gone on to read further books from Sayaka Murata. If you have a friend that loves to read too, then share a 4 Book Box. With whispers of an advent calendar, its getting exciting!!!!

I started my box subscription 2 months ago and I am so happy I did. I have the 2 books a months subscription and I always love the books that are provided. Can't wait for the next one! Nothing better than curling up with a book and forgetting about everything going on around you! Can choose from numerous genres and also decide which ones you'd like to avoid. Highly recommend if your a bookworm like me!
