Comenity Bank has the worst customer…

Comenity Bank has the worst customer service of any business I have ever dealt with in my life. They are a sham. A fraud. They deliberately hang up on customers. The worst credit card experience in my life by far. Furthermore I will never use Mastercard again due to their affiliation with Comenity.

Do not use Comenity or Bread

Do not use Comenity or Bread. There are much better banks with better customer service. This bank is horrible and will over charge you. You can't ever get any help from customer service, the department is a joke. Save yourself the money and the headaches.

Comenity Bank Mastercard #535878206768…

Comenity Bank Mastercard #535878206768 issued on June 2021, be here on known, that I had never received such, and learned about it, when in Feb 2023, my Banking Institution had check my credit rating (my FICO of 790 at the time, due to an immaculately and responsibly handled of my credit), informing me that a late, delinquent and in collection account is showing -since Aug 2022- ,as a damaging, and derogative and {as factual proven INTENTIONALLY} data.
I had immediately and with several phone calls, emails and regular [certified return receipt USA Post Office mai] contacted all parties involved within
· I have never received a BJs Banking VISA nor Master Charge card, either from BJs, nor from Capital Bank, nor Capital One Bank, and not from Comenity Bank either
· I have never received a single monthly billing statement
o Or I would have had taken care of this “not mine matter” supposedly use of a charge card account and subsequent late payment issue before it escalate on August 2022
· Where was this supposedly charge card made? ç Certainly, not by me.
· Whom -if any-, have had an stolen use of it, before the shown 30 days late condition?
· What was it used for on and where?
· Why was this “supposedly received”, charge card never used before July or August 2022?
o Or was it been used and properly paying the monthly statements? (By whomever got in possession of the charge card) not me.
o If so, where did YOU were sending the billings to? not to me.
Where were YOU receiving the monthly payments? not from me.
See on the provided spreadsheet, a four years history of our credits, there is NOT BJs charge card showing. That information MUST BE REMOVED to restore my actuak FICO of 734, restored. Thanka!

Will I get a lifetime of harassment from Comenity Bank.

I bought hearing aids through a local business, Best for Hearing on time. I am 81 years old. Unbeknownest to me my account went to Comenity Bank. I waited for a bill from Best for Hearing. Finally I went to pay in person. They said the bills were sent to me. In the meantime, I had been receiving bill for thousands of dollars from Comenity Bank with no information on what was purchased. I thought it was another scam. But it was for the hearing aids. By that time I was in the 28% interest bracket. In addition I was charged the 28% interest on the late fees! I was constantly harassed by telephone for payment; my credit score implemented! I thought I would never be free. After I paid the rest of the amount owed, I got a bill for late fees at 38% interest! Over $100!! Will I ever be free of them. The moral of the story: Never buy hearing aid from places who use a third party for payment. Never do business with Comenty Bank.

What a nightmare!!

What a nightmare!!! Never buying anything from LaserAway again via this company and staying away from Laseraway PERIODT because anyone going into business with this company has terrible judgment. Not only do they make it IMPOSSIBLE to pay them, once you actually manage to create an account online, not a SINGLE payment method words. Not the minimum payment, not auto-pay, not even paying the balance in FULL. Each one of their payment methods return either a 403 or a 500 server error, and as someone working in tech I KNOW that this is 100% terrible developers and even worse (or non-existent) QA. Unless you want to burn through hours of your time and frustration each month to send them a single payment, for the love of god do what's good for you and skip this company altogether. Reporting these clowns to the SEC because this company and their website is BEYOND amateur hour. If you're taking people's payment information and personal data, your website needs to be so on point. I can only imagine the data leaks that will come from this clown company, because if they can't even ensure they get their own money, imagine how they ensure your personal data.

How are they still in business?

I never dealt with this company before yet for some reason there were UNAUTHORIZED hard credit inquiries and credit cards in my name that I did NOT sign up for. I called them and they just gave me a bs statement to get me off the phone. After doing my research, they pulled this crap years ago with other people. Get ready to get sued again!

Been nothing but a pain in my ass

Been nothing but a pain in my ass. I applied at WSOP told i could pick it up at Paris. Well I tried and they said they had no record of me. I singed up and told them the address was wrong and they said they fixed it, well they did not. So after 5 calls with the provider and fixing my address they said they would ship it out over night to my house., 8 days later I do not have it. I called back up today and they said they will have to cancel account.

I tried to pay my card off because this…business charges you bogus fees. Scamming business. Need to be investigated.

I tried to pay my card off because this is scamming business. Charge you for having a zero balance. I've been trying to get rid of this corrupt Ulta / Community bank card but they won't let me with all these bogus charges. Don't get this card it's worst card ever, you will have a balance of zero dollars and they will say you didn't pay your bill off and charge you a $2 fee. When you just paid a final payment of $4.12 cents. Lol... Are you kidding me , I didn't pay it off in full all I owed was $4.12 . This biggest scamming business ever. They charge you illegal fees , especially if they know that you are trying to cancel the card. Corrupt business. Stay clear of this credit card. This card will cheat you and give you nothing but a headache. They won't let you get rid of the card even if you don't use it you will get unknown charges.

Know your rights

On June 2 I discovered that Comenity does not have an industry standard website access such that you can review your account in detail in real time, view statements, balances and due dates, etc. In fact one can not even set up Auto Payment, the feature that most sensible credit cards users employ to avoid making late payments. In fact I even had difficulty making contact with their primitive account center which requires that you input the last 4 of your social security number every tine you visit (a security issue). I then did research that showed many people essentially complain that the company is a late fee and penalty generating operation where the consumer has little access to their account information and customer service is essentially non-existent. If you feel that you being manipulated or cheated by this company, consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Horrible bank

This is not my first go round with Commenity Bank. I had a horrible time with them when I was using Pet Care. I went round and round with them because they kept putting a charge on a charge on a charge on something I had paid in full. I just experienced exactly that again with my Florida Bealls card! I paid in full and they added a two dollar fee which they kept multiplying monthly. When I threatened to cancel the card, the CS lady got permission to remove all the fees. The customer service lady was nice, but I will never use that card again.

Disappointed and Upset

First, I am shocked Comenity is Bread Financial! I have used Bread Financial with no complaints. Ulta Beauty MasterCard is through Comenity. I opened the account three months ago and closed it yesterday! Every month I had to call! Their billing cycle does not even give u 30days from time of purchase to next billing. They held two charges then put them on the next cycle. No pending info or any info about it! Even if closing the account dings my credit score, it is worth it to me!

Fees for paying balance to zero

It was really difficult to figure out the payment online. When I finally paid the card I full, they charged me a fee for having a zero balance. The customer service rep was very condescending and rude, and never gave a straight answer as to what the fee was for. He just kept saying “I told you” but never gave a legitimate answer as to what the fee was. I will be closing this account once I can negotiate this fee. I won’t be opening another account with them. I shouldn’t be fined for a zero balance

Horrible Company and "Fraud" procedures

On May 3, I called Comenity about my Caesers Rewards Visa, I let them now I was going to New York & would be using my card for payment while in NYC on May 9th-11th. In NYC on May 10th, I attempt to make a purchase & my card is declined. I call Comenity & go through their Fraud steps, they confirm its me, they tell me they have unlocked my account. I wait approx 30 min & use my card again & it is again declined. I called them back to see what was going on again & I am told their fraud department needs to send me a code. I wait a few minutes and I have not received anything and they tell me they sent it again. I get the code and give it to them. I am told the code doesnt match and my account has been PERMANENTLY CLOSED due to fraud.. They tell me there is nothing they can do, I have no other options to prove I am me, NOTHING. I have an 791 credit score, never a later payment, and just like that they permanently closed my account and tell me they cant reopen it. What I believe happened is when the woman resent the code the second time she actually sent a different code. After I got off the phone with them I saw I had received a SECOND message with a different code. I was NEVER told they would be sending a DIFFERENT code when they resent it nor did I have anyway to know when I received the first code that it was not the code they wanted since it was the first code I saw I received before I saw I was sent a second code.

I was never told if you get this wrong while standing in the middle of NYC without payment options, trying to figure out what is going on with your account that we are going to PERMANENTLY CLOSE your account.

Mind you I had already confirmed my name, address, phone number, last 4 of ss number, last 2 payment amounts and the bank information those payments came from but apparently that wasn't enough information to confirm it was me.

I asked to speak to a Manager and was connected to "Jose" who was rude, unhelpful, basically told me they were a bank and could do whatever they wanted and they werent going to open my account back up. I could have sent them photo ID or other options if they had fraud concerns.

I already have reservations for Caesers properties in Las Vegas for June but if this can't be resolved and I cant continue earning points with my Caesers Visa then I will probably cancel my reservations and go with MGM instead who have given me no issues. Caesers need to figure out how Commenity bank is costing them customers due to their horrible customer service.

I paid off my Talbots credit card...Decreased credit

I paid off my Talbots credit card with them. After years of on-time payments, they took my available credit from $3480 to $100 and told me that my credit score had changed and they made that decision. No communication as to why or that they were doing this. They impacted my credit score negatively by decreasing the credit limit on a card I paid down.
